I'm actually a "Jate" girl myself, but I did love the dynamic between these two characters. And hey, maybe they did get together in the end. Juliet was dead, Jack died, and then Kate & Sawyer made it on the plane, so who's to say they didn't get together some time after that? When everyone met up at the church as ghosts (?), it's shown that Jack & Kate were meant for each other, but that doesn't mean that Skate didn't get together in the between-time.
