  • Original song by the 60's garage band "The Groupies" The Cramps changed my life with the Psychedelic Jungle album, where they covered this Gem!

  • Holy crapola! Primitive on YT! There is a Gawd!!!!

  • great lyric. whoever wrote it!

  • rare footage, thanks for uploading

  • the riff sounds so much like suzie q by creedence clearwater... and smokestack lightning. i love the cramps. but i don't know how original this song is...

  • @CaptianBlindfold it isn't an original at all, it's an old rock n roll cover. Def not suzie q though

  • @CaptianBlindfold it isn't an original at all, it's an old rock n roll song by The Groupies.

  • Ok...that is scarey...Lux looks way too much like a punky Chris Isaac in the beginning of this video!! Yikes!!

  • I love these guys, miss ya Lux !

  • Kids at home cut yourself.............

  • Used to see this line-up alot at the Country Club in Reseda, CA. Seemed like they played every month around 82-83.....Changed my life!

  • Status quo...er...only jokin'

  • I'm hooked on this now...it's all because of you...again...Madame L'enfer...

  • What did I do? I thought you were already a fan?

  • Used to see them alot around this time at the Country Club in Reseda they couldnt record anything new due to the Miles Copland lawsuit so they'd play about every other month at the CC awesome shows! RIP LUX.

  • Miles sucked cooks...his brother drummer I thought always sucked cakes and their father the ultimate cicksucker was a C I A agent...or some sort U>S> oc cacksuckers secret agent...ye Klark KENt...anyway Papa Copeland took his family across the universe where the USS a was quelling rebellions i.e. selling coca-cola (and machine-guns) and...oh fuck I forgot what shit I was gonna write...anyway you got the jyst of it

  • So fucking great. This guy knew how to put on a show.

    Oh Lux, RIP.

  • Thanks yet again.Wasn't that Jello Biafra/Dead Kennedys first incarnation in the very beginning?

  • Oh ok,thanks.Yup,Biafra cracked me up live.I miss his brand of sarcasm. He reminded me of a twitchier, less jovial John Stewart.More stage blood,of course.I have an ancient pink stained Germs shirt as a souvenir.

  • @MmeLEnfer

Id get the 2 album 1 cd copy of Plastic Surgery Disasters and In God We Trust that theyre selling now. Two albums for the price of one, its re-mastered, so it sounds exceptional, the only problem is they turn down jellos vocals abit cause one of the old band members is a jackass.

But its their best stuff. Government Flu, Bleed for Me, Forest Fire, Riot, and Moon over Marin are the songs to look for.

  • @exeuroweenie Yeah I can put that up if you want

  • @toiroforcado That'd be great,thanks,

  • @exeuroweenie not the first incarnation.

  • primitive no way ...very futuristic ,,,love you 4 ever

  • 1982

  • "What I respect, you just can't see

"What you expect, I'll never be

"The things I do, you'd never try

"What I get free, you have to buy

"I'm proud of my life, but don't ask me why"

R.I.P Lux. This is your song.

  • I had no clue, great lyrics!!!

  • no it's not. it's by The Groupies.

  • And the Groupies stole the music from Howlin' Wolf

  • @MmeLEnfer yessssssssssssss

  • puts all the new kiddies to shame... selfish poser c*nts...

  • Wow. Where did you get this footage from?

  • It was on a tape I rented from Sam the Record Man way way back in 1990-- they actually had a rental outlet in the attic for several years as I only vaguely recollect!. As Lux introduces: Target Video. Check out their catalogue online as they still exist.

  • Thanks!

  • Sam The Record Man eh? Know what town your from dude. Got turned on to this band after conferring with MmeLEnfer. She sent me this one.
