Yes, Re-Re is a legend which is why she is revered all over the world...this song was made over 30 yrs ago but is still as good to listen to now as it was then. I too lament the loss of the live band with backup singers and all that.. but it can be very expensive to put a group together like that and there isn't always funding for artists who want to do things like this. It's important to stay relevant while taking elements of what you like from past artists and amalgamating them into your style!

The late Tom Dowd(Atlantic Records engineer/producer), who recorded Aretha's greatest songs(Respect, I Never Loved a Man, Chain of Fools,etc) always said that Aretha sang much better when she was sitting behind a piano rather than standing and doing vocals only. The first time they recorded her at Muscle Shoals Studio in Alabama, all the session musicians were dancing around like fools after listening to the playback in the control room.
