please help, how to you render out of 3ds max? also how do you render with the background cod4 video in it or do you record without then put it over in sony vegas? AND also how do you do lighting/shadows on text? thanks for helping a noob :D

Hi rockstar,im having a trouble.

After doing the tracking in boujou (i added a test object,and it was tracked succesfully),i export the camera to 3d max,put some text on it and it doesn't track....what is happening ?

@NinjaStudiosARG You probable don't have the text in the right place. Make sure its on the axis and use the markers as a reference.

Thanks you that was the problem.Now i having another at final steps...When i render the tracked text from 3d max,that sequence is a lot longer that the original video (the one that im going to put the tracked text) and it doensn't fit. The original video was filmed at 960 frame per second.In boujou,where i did the tracking,i can't chose more than 60 fps.

Why are you using jpg on sequences instead of a higher quality format?

@JekkT1337 Jpeg is enough quality, but if you want, go for png :) I don't think it will effect the tracking though.

there arent so many with 3ds max most of the tutorials are with AE or C4D good that someone finally made a usefull tut with 3ds max, but i got some problems.. i do the same as you did in the video also watched the troubleshoots video, but when i open the file in 3ds max i cant track anything.. i mean i can see the points but not the camara and when i press c nothing happens. but i can see it on the buttom left corner of 3ds max and i can track it there but not on the right site..

@yeswecaaaan Tracking is the easy part, learning the 3D software is the hard part. Its certainly not easy to make good 3D scenes.

@Soz307 I don't think so, as long as you have a program that will let you render as an image sequence.

I also think other video formats work with the tracking, but i have had the most success with jpeg sequence :)

@IIRockstarrxX you can render jpeg sequences in 8, and 7, and probably 6, 5, 4 etc. aswell. There is a script that you can activate (in vegas) that lets you export your clip as a jpeg sequence
