  • NOOB QUESTION: Which brake is most commonly used? i've heard that the front brake is, but from bad experiences on mountain bikes, i find that idea strange

  • @Ab0utTheAuth0r Front brake. The front provides about 70% of the braking for the bike. This is why you are not meant to brake during corners as it makes the bike unstable and leads to slides. You can easily never use the back brake, but it's good practice to use both (obviously!)

  • got the same waterproof gloves as you lol btw good vids btw m8

  • @oliver12325 hehe, thanks :D

  • better to pull in the clutch on any bike before you start it, dont trust the neutral light

  • what happens if you let go of the clutch after your already accelarating? it just stalls?

  • @DeltaSixEcho you let it go once you have accelerated and engaged the gear. It stalls when you let it go before acceleration.

  • @JollyRog3r88 ah i see, thanks for the reply. I'm gonna get a bike for my first vehicle. only problem is I've never rode a standard/manual anything before.

  • @DeltaSixEcho No problem. I did the same as you are planning, a steep learning curve at first, but it's fine with a little practice.

  • Hey i can choose between a Kawasaki ninja 250r or a Kawasaki er5 which 1 should I get?

  • @kitecc gonna need some more details to help you out there!

  • @JollyRog3r88 i was wondering which do you think would get better mileage but still have some decent speed and acceleration?

  • @kitecc personally I would start on the 250. Lighter, easier to maneuver and a ton of fun.

  • i have been giving the bike a tiny bit of gas before i actually get the clutch into the friction zone and it has been working out wonderfully will doing this eat my clutch up faster

  • @mogearz not really because the clutch has not engaged the engine so it's like you are just revving in neutral. What you are doing is fine & will reduce the risk of stalling, but will give you a little faster acceleration when you engage (see dropping the clutch for more details) cheers

  • I am a 17 year old boy that's trying to learn how to ride a bike. My first question is when you park your bike what gear should you leave it on. And my second question is say your in the 5 gear how do you brake.

  • @TalasowAkALaso I leave mine in neutral most of the time, unless you are on a hill in which case leave it in 1st so the bike can't roll. Have a look at my video about downshifting to explain your braking question. Cheers :)

  • Thanks a lot Man! This is a really Kool video!

  • @youngmoney007100 thanks

  • It is 1000cc, isn't it?

  • @Dusannn98 it's a 600

  • thanks man it was a great help

  • @locochonloco no problem

  • @JollyRog3r88 which is the best gear to use in traffic

  • @Maniarnold depends on the flow of traffic, size of bike etc. Usually 2nd works well for slow moving

  • @racingfan1083 You can also start the engine in first gear or other gears , you just have to pull the clutch and hold it so the bike does not "shoot". Ofc then you have to start with friction - power as normal. It's better starting in neutral gear so you can let the engine warm and you don't have to hold the clutch , but immaginate if you are in traffic , and for an error the bike turns off ( the engine turns off ) it's faster starting the bike in the first gear , because it's easier to find.

  • Thatz dis was very helpful!!

  • awesome mate :)

  • @ValHallaV8s thanks!

  • @JollyRog3r88 do you have to be in neutral to start it?

  • Great video!!! This is definitely helping me!

  • this is gonna help me so much

  • @paintballkid133 I hope so!!
