The US played a massive role in WW2 even before it's entrance, we kept GB and the USSR afloat with supplies they were lacking. I/e airplane fuel and ammunition and medical suplies for GB for example and Fighter planes, communications technology to the Soviets.

@mclawhornjm Okay! I can attest to the quality of the CTS is not particularly high. They remind me of a Lancia from the 80's. The cover over the speedometer is poorly secured, and moves pretty much. The cover for the spare wheel is just a piece of plastic placed over the wheel for example. The walls of the trunk is thin as leafs. Cheap car poor quality. Not even close to the MB but at least it's cheap. You can get a brand new CTS in sweden for about 25k

@mclawhornjm I am working temporarily at a tire shop and we've had two CTS in which I also have tested. I took the opportunity to check the quality of them because this debate is going on here. It feels good to be in but the quality is not close to a mercedes. Things feel poorly secured, among other things. Yes a CTS cost originally 59k but now 25k and Cadillac are still problems to sell them here. Lancia Delta was also the car of the year in 1985 but it was crap too. Owned one.
@ShinyHagge Well, I haven't had any problems of that nature from my current CTS. I hear the same quality control issues from both sides. However, I am more inclined to side with Cadillac based on my personal experience with the brand (not to say that I wouldn't buy a Mercedes). The cars produced from both manufacturers are NOT crap or else they wouldn't sell. Both MB and Cadillac outsell BMW, Lexus, Jaguar, and Lincoln in my state.

Max respect to the resurgence of Cadillac and its image, the car of mobsters, businessmen, pimps, superstar athletes, rock and rapstars is back. Hell even the president rolls in a caddy that can stop a .50 cal round at point black range. It doesnt get much more badass than rolling in a Caddy.
According to JD Power and Associates Caddy matches or beats the Germans in multiple quality tests and customer satifaction surveys. Give some credit where it's due people.

The US played a massive role in WW2 even before it's entrance, we kept GB and the USSR afloat with supplies they were lacking. I/e airplane fuel and ammunition and medical suplies for GB for example and Fighter planes, communications technology to the Soviets.
Those "Yanks" supplied the allies killed german production, cut supply lines, and brought inwar ending technology. If you had to name one it's the US.

@mclawhornjm Okay! I can attest to the quality of the CTS is not particularly high. They remind me of a Lancia from the 80's. The cover over the speedometer is poorly secured, and moves pretty much. The cover for the spare wheel is just a piece of plastic placed over the wheel for example. The walls of the trunk is thin as leafs. Cheap car poor quality. Not even close to the MB but at least it's cheap. You can get a brand new CTS in sweden for about 25k

How can you get a brand new CTS in Sweden for 25 K when when they start at 35 K in the United States (not to mention that they are made in the United States and then exported to Europe)? @mclawhornjm I am working temporarily at a tire shop and we've had two CTS in which I also have tested. I took the opportunity to check the quality of them because this debate is going on here. It feels good to be in but the quality is not close to a mercedes. Things feel poorly secured, among other things. Yes a CTS cost originally 59k but now 25k and Cadillac are still problems to sell them here. Lancia Delta was also the car of the year in 1985 but it was crap too. Owned one.

However, I am more inclined to side with Cadillac based on my personal experience with the brand (not to say that I wouldn't buy a Mercedes). The cars produced from both manufacturers are NOT crap or else they wouldn't sell. Both MB and Cadillac outsell BMW, Lexus, Jaguar, and Lincoln in my state.

Hondas are known for their reliability and CRAPedes are known to be in the shop most of the time, along with the rest of their crappy ilk. I am not saying all Cadillacs are better than Mercedes, but I do believe this particular one is better, Dollar for Dollar and pound for pound. Interior is purely an opinion and the Caddy has a great interior. Have you ever seen one? Performance is not an opinion! The Caddy comes out on top for this round.
