Much more fun then Oblivion. I played oblivion for years too. Oblivions downside was it was just Slash n Gash. Basicly just CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK as long as u have a sword. And the guy would slash right, left, right, left all the time and the battle was over ... UNLESS u had some kinda mods

Dark messiah and Oblivion Are completely Different Games... I also agree that the Gameplay in Dark messiah And fighting styles were better than those of Oblivion... However Oblivion had A LOT more content and was Much more enjoyable on a long term basis. I played Em both and I could Honestly say that Oblivion was better Althought i Like Dark messiah's Gameplay and action sequences Far more

In my opinion, Dark Messiah is much funner, and the movement/combat system is much better made, not to mention that the physics are much more realistic. Also, pulling yourself onto ledges is something Oblivin desperately needed, but lacked. Nearly every strong point of Dark Messiah, are the weakest points of Oblivion. Oblivion is great, but the gameplay was bulky, unlike the other elderscrolls games the plot did not much to alleviate this. Oblivion = Customizable. Therein lies its strength.

Almost all Bethesda games rely on the modding community to keep them alive. In my opinion Ubisoft should have let Arkane Studios work their magic with DM, instead of keeping them on a leash all the time. And what's worse is that Ubisoft abandoned the game, even forbade Arkane to release modding tools for it. Despite that, the game still turned out quite enjoyable. :-)

The game is linear and not free to explore like Oblivion. Story also not as deep. Think: Half-Life2 + Theif. However, for me the fighting was way funner than oblivion's simple hack and block. A variety of different moves to do...you feel like a ninja doing cool stances and charging into your enemies and stuff lol! Fighting against more than one foe is much easier. I hate that wobbly feeling in the game though. I bought it at Circuit City for $6.

I dont recomment it for PC. There is way too many glitches and crashes. I played it for several hours and then it refused to open at all. Click the icon and nothing happens. Its stupid.
