they have a lot to consider with the camera, if they put a camera and mic on the ipod touch, who would get an iphone? its far more expensive and you can get free wifi internet on the touch, they are most likely going to upgrade it toward the portable gaming device side, upping resolution and whatnot.

They were suppose to add it in 09 the camera for it but they have yet to find one that would be small enough, cheap enough and be able to take good images and record for hours and hours without messing up, they need some time but on the nano it dosent have the longest duration and quality is not the best.

They could've added a Bluetooth transfer, microphone, internet etc, etc also, they never did. Why? The 8gb is the same for both generations, however, the 32gb and the 64gb have 50% more proccessing power. If you like web browsing, videos, and apps, 3g will be a good buy for you. If you mainly just want to listen to songs, get the 2nd gen or a nano.

The 8gb 3g is a 8gb 2g with new firmware, so no difference. The "real" 3g 's are the 32gb and 64gb models. The 3g is about 50% faster than the 2g in things like opening applications and loading internet sites. hope i could help.

No. You cant upgrade from 32gb to 64gb on the same ipod touch. If you get a 8, 32, or 64 then it stays that way.
