I have been using blender foralmost a year now and just starting to try out daz, gotta say looks very impressive.

Daz studio is free. Maya costs $2000. Maya is serious professional amimation, modelling etc. Daz studio is for entry level animation, posing etc. Daz is an amazing program and has an unimagineable amount of free and/or cheap content that will get you creating beautiful scenes in minutes. And no I dont work for Daz I use daz professionally for nightclub flyer artwork as well as promo and live visuals.

@kohiba666 its worse, maya costs over 3 grand! However, daz studio isnt just for posing, it can be used to render all kinds of models. If you have any kind of modeller and can explort OBJs, you can bring them into DS and render them beautifully

@kohiba666 do you know if DAZ works for macs? cause i tried downloading blender and it wouldn't let me make any shapes except spheres so it was kinda pointless.

also i was wonder since its a free program and all are there any virus issues i should worry about cause most stuff that you download off the internet have viruses or some type of annoying bug attached to them

It's not available with the basic DAZ|Studio software. You have to it buy separately.
