the m60 is more controlable than the m240b and pecheneg but it has a very low rate of fire.

the m60 has the highest recoil on the first shot of all lmg's but in autofire it has the lowest of the 7.62 cal. lmg's . Also it can shoot longer than all other lmg's in auto fire because of the low rate of fire so i think its the best lmg for mid-range and suppresion

Have unlocked M60E4 with foregrip, IR scope + extended mag.

Its very controllable firing standing whilst on the move. Inaccurate but with a 200 round box with suppressive fire mode, this baby can pin down anything coming your way.

Once you've adapted to its recoil, you can pummel the enemy and waste them whilst they get blurred by your rounds and are not able to fire back at you.

Very good weapon.

@ConstantineJoseph The only reason its "controllable" is because your a noob and use the IR scope. Cmon, you have to realize how cheap that scope is. Having ANY scope increases recoil, but not the IR scope. It REDUCES recoil. Stick with HOLO, RDS, anything but IR and see how good you are.

@shaddowmoses91 I use more than just one scope. IR is not my favorite at all and I don't usually use this weapon.

I only happen to discover its really stable with IR scope.

@ascari12 its a deusy, just crouch and be still while shooting anything more than 1m away. gentle aim-down while firing will send plethora of decently-aimed bullets their way.

@jeffgorchynski LOL a month on, I've figured out stuff. One, stuff you said. Two, the M60 sucks in general compared to the other LMG's. My favorite ones right now are PKP and M240B. Reason I have two favorites is because you cannot call one of them better than the other. They both just do different things. M240B is CQB suppression while PKP is great for racking up kills at medium ranges.

@jeffgorchynski Nah, not necessarily. I'll explain it to you. This is my standard loadout for a higher LMG (aka the PKP, M240B and M60E4) - HOLO sight (either), foregrip, extended magazine. And using these I've found the PKP to the best. So ok, doesn't have the highest fire rate, but it is deadly accurate. And what I do with most of my assault rifles and LMG's is, I go fully automatic. The PKP takes out people like nobody's business. You should really try it out. Try my specs.

@shadow11221 I've played with the M240B for a while, and it never replaced the M249 for me. Tried the M60 just today and it feels...Right. I cannot find any other word to describe it, it got anything you'd like to find on a heavy-hitting machinegun, and then some. Now I'm playing to unlock the expanded mags and the foregrip.
