My dad decided to get this instead of the TFPrime. Plus side; slightly better tablet. Downside; I have to wait ANOTHER few months for it to come out. If it was my decision, I would have just gotten the 1st Prime.

And for those who already have the original Prime and are complaining about the new 700T: Stop your gripping! Both the TF201 and this are top tier tablets!! This is new ground for Asus, so give them a break! If you don't like it, then don't buy from them!!

the screen looks exactly like my prime and playing shadowgun looks exactly like on my prime and even my dual core motorola xoom. there's no point in "upgrading" to a 1080 screen in a 10 inch tablet. my prime will be way ahead in development by the time this gets released. good luck to everyone waiting for this to come out. who knows what problems this will have? by the time this comes out, there's going to be something better. i'll be sticking with my prime :)

smokes iPad because it has ICS, massive resolution and quad core +1 cpu. I use both iOS and Android platforms, but these days I find iOS out dated, the iPad is just a low rez screen of icons. I can't live without widgets and easy access to fast information. I hope Apple can make something better with iPad 3, otherwise its a one horse race again but Android is in the lead. iOS 5 is so boring, I hope iOS 6 does something new, An iPad just based on Apple hardware isn't going to impress me any more

@Aaberg123 It's so sad to hear assumptions. I hold no loyalties. I own the Transformer, iPad 2 and Touchpad. To say one "smokes" another for one feature is silly. My galaxy nexus has an amazing screen, but that doesn't make it the best phone. Open your mind to other brands and products... You have nothing to lose.

"smoke" is not limited to the display, it also smokes the iPad 2 because it also has expansion slots which the iPad will NEVER have, it OS and all the things Android can do that the iPad will NEVER be able to do and last but not least, the quad core processor which is NOT available on any iDevice.

They announced this new Prime on the exact day that my original Prime arrived on my doorstep.

Really sucks when a tablet you buy becomes obsolete the day you receive it.

@MercenarySlick Only difference is the resolution, the battery is worse. I'd prefer the smaller resolution, better battery and more suitable for that resolution. And games run smoother.

The back looks really ugly to me. That just made me get the orginal Prime. Sure 1200p is GREAT, but I'd like a Really nice look tablet over this. The internals are the same except the screen. I never use a tablet for GPS, so no prob for me. Just wished they kept the back with, and tiny strip on the top like the Gtab. Like completly the WHOLE back, but like in the center of the top.
