  • I didn't know there was a rant o-o but I think people should dress, act, etc. on how they want to act, not by stereotypes <----Oneegal Gyaru at heart <3

  • @MisBreezyProductions lol exactly! Nice to know there are more black gyaru in the community!

  • I didnt even know about the style until this video but now im interested in it. n.n That and I understand the whole 'youre not being black enough concept' its stupid a race shouldnt be seen as a personality type.

  • naw theresa nothing wrong with it have you seen nicki minaj????

  • @Alizalynn92 She's like mostly fake though lol. Aside from that I agree I will try to make a vid on it (hopefully its not too long) :(.

  • This is going to sound horrible since this is a very serious topic, but you're absolutely gorgeous! You could pull off any look, period. ^^

  • i agree!, saying "you look like a monkey, ape" whats with that shit? yes, we do get alot of shit because of skin.

  • there are so many stereotypes, eat chicken, have a big booty, BE LOUD, call everybody a nigga, don't go to school,BE BLACK. likee wtf?! LETS GET OUT INTO THE WORLD AND SHOW THEM THOSE ARE NOT TRUE :D

  • im going to do gyaru and where to school :),

  • This is so motivating! I watch this whenever i feel down! Keep the vids coming beautiful!

  • Interesting topic!

I also find that it's more acceptable in society when white/caucasion people appropriate/appreciate other races culture/style/music whatever but as for black people ... I feel as though we are suppose to be limited in our thinking/style/dress/music/ as though we are uniform in opinion and taste and that doesn't make sense to me.

  • What is that song??? PLZ TELL MEA! X3

  • girl DO YOU!!! ppl r sooo closed minded 4 real. my love is harajuku and u think i give a damn if ppl think im crazi cuz ima black girl who might walk around w/ pig tails and all pink on? nope i dnt give a damn. now i dnt dress lke that on a daily basis but either way ppl will never understand. (especially in America) im living in freakin S. korea right now so I know all about going against the grain. hence my name: Pinkfashiionninja! keep doin u girl! i love it! Unique Black Girl Powers Unite!

  • This is a great vid!! Thanks so much for PUTTING THE TRUTH OUT THERE

  • your confidence is awesome. i am glad you are not tired of educating people. you seem like a very good friend.

  • finally someone who understands!!! *subscribes*

  • This is nice, I'm an aspiring nigerian gyaru but im scared of being not seen as a good gyaru ;3; ill try my best!

  • YOU. MAKE. ME. HAPPY. This video is so great I feel like screaming (it's 5 11 am, that's how happy you make me)

  • i agree with what you said

  • Black gyarus rock, haters gon hate~~

  • Thanks so much for this video! I will do gyaru, I don't care what people think! Especially because of this video! :D I like being different, anyway, and I'm going to express my love for gyaru and Japan! ^_^b

  • @MrNikooruchan You're very welcome! I'm glad this motivated you :D

  • As a guy ive never...ever heard of this stuff, but im glad all of you females are uniting against the racism of it all!!

    Confidence is everything, never fold!

  • @CreativeMindzs lol I'm glad you see it that way! & it's okay, not a lot of people have.

  • LOL I'm just waiting for gyaru secret posts about me. People saying "bitch has too short of hair" or whatever xD

  • i just found the loli secretes lj. i was disgusted. i havent found a secrete bashing black loli's...yet. but why do they have to bash each other? arent you suppose to be helping each other out? gah. this is bad. very bad.

  • Oh my gosh I love you. I appropriate you doing this, people don't get it and make fun of us for no reason. We do want me wanna do don't mess with us. Haha

  • I hate that there are alot of Black gals that choose Gyaru in general, but shy away from extreme styles like Manba and Banba. :/ When i was starting out Lisha was my hugest inspiration. she's not even into Manba like that anymore :( anyway... there are black Manba and Banba *raises hand* and i think we do fairly well too but noone really...cares... lol

  • (...) but you are PURE inspiration!

  • OMG ur vid made me laugh sooo hard!! i was dying! but i agree 100%... im VERY new to gyaru and i havent even claimed to be one yet, im just testing the "water" right now... and had somehow found my pic along with several other blk girls on there bashing.... i was like seriously? i didnt even know that site existed and i thought Gyaru secret would be like a site full of hair and make secerts and tutorial... NOPE... and the thing that pisses me off is that it was a regular pic they stole...

  • i agree with everything you said and i just wanted to add that also NOT all gyaru girls (gaijin or not) have to be skinny either size means nothing when it comes down to a fashion that you love

  • @ckayla78 Well said!!

  • Omg, what hair are you wearing? IT looks gorge on you; and I appreciate this rant of yours. I've been thinking this for some time now.

  • @cestlavie93 I can't remember the exact name of it but it was Milky Way extensions. I wanna say beach curls. I'm glad you like it :)

  • awwwww, youre sooo pretty! youd be a greattt gyaru!! im happy youre standing up for others :DD inspiring video for sure :)

  • you are amazing *U*

  • I'm white, but I think that black gyarus are beautiful *0*

  • I love this video i love black gals!!

  • I'm glad you brought up gyaru secrets, Livejournal can be SO CATTY at times.

  • I agree. We can't let shit get to us but people need to stop putting all that shit out there to begin with. I'm not a gal, I was considering it for a while but I decided not to because I'm not a make up person. Anyways I still love browsing around the gal community because you all look gorgeous. I've seen good and bad gals of all different races. The internet just gave us a place for sickfucks and trolls to run wild. I guess love and respect is no longer enjoyable for most people.

  • Crystal i wish people could be more like you so understanding and smart and pretty :3 theirs this girl on you tube she posted a unnecessary comment on my vid. i dont mind rude comments but she also said sorry but i didnt really want to take it and now shes being all mean to me -_-' she goes by the name of OoOKimikoOoO she says im a anime wanna be when really i dont even watch anime >.< and she said i look like a crake baby whats that? she keeps sending hate mail :/ is getting annoying. help

  • @310myhoodiez And I will never deny it. I pray people like you immerse life with more diversity. So sad.

  • @CrystallyzeD : Lmfao...did she say Chinese? She doesnt even know wtf she's talking about. Anyway, delete her comments. Its messing with the positive flow on your comment section.

  • @310myhoodiez *takes a look at profile* HA! Takes one to know one sweetie! gtfo.

  • THANK YOU.

i'm half indian and i seeing all this 'ohh you can't do this style you're TAN' pisses me off so bad. yeah, having darker skin just means that some colours won't suit as well as they would on light skin, but the reverse is true - i know super pale people who can't wear bright red because it makes them look sickly. and you know what they do ?

    THEY JUST AVOID WEARING RED.

and tan girls can do the same. anyone can do any style, they should just pick colours and cuts that suit them.

  • woot woot go girl!

  • I really like that somebody spoke about this. I know a lot of white Gyarus that don't like other races being Gyaru... I'm Native American and I practice Gyaru, Himegyaru, Ganguro, and Manba and some people think that I shouldn't... I really like you speaking up for other races. A friend of mine is Hawaiian and is Gyaru ^^ I think Gyaru is a style for everybody, not just white or Asian! It's an attitude and a look, not a race!

  • It´s so syupid to be racist in this, I actually love to see black gyarus it´s so refreshing ,and to see latinas or other races, me being a latin girl ;), so yes there is no point in idiots insulting, black girls look AMAZING and it`s so refresing to see other races joining in a style that is supossed to be fun, not restrictive, AND that includes tall, short, full figure or thin girls, everybody that wishes to join should

  • shitfuckeries.... *gigle*....

  • Black girls have an advantage over ofther races..... we are all ready tan. BU+YA. score one for us

  • @animehottie281 True true.......Whereas fairer skinned people have to tan. hehe.

  • @animehottie281 being tan doesn't officially make you gyaru, js. i'm black by the way, so no one take this as being racist

  • and you looked cute in this video ^_^ sometimes i find it funny how some people in the world go out and get their lips bigger and tan their skin and yet they're not nice to black people. its a controversy, but what can you do?i wanto to travel the world to show that all these stereotypes about black people are not true and that they can gain some good friends if they just give some of us a chance. anyways, i liked ur vid. and ur doggy is cute. ^_^

  • i really liked this video im am a black 16 year old girl and ive been interested in the japanese culture since i was 12 i can kinda relate to this even though i dont do gyaru(idk how to word it ^_^) cuz sumtimes in skool my friends may think its a bit weird that i like the asian culture and i get annoyed by it sumtimes but now they know that i like it but my piano teacher who is chinese thought that it was cool that i liked the culture and this lady and man that work at a store in chinatown too

  • it crazy because i remember reading about that several months ago and was pissed!! im a black gal (more so blasian...but thats not the point) and i really dont give a shit what all the others are saying. i am so glaad that people are coming forward and really hitting the issue at the core. to be honest...(and for all the haters) to be a gal is pretty much free game for ever girl that choses this lifestyle. the ones that are discriminating against us black gals are truly gaijin assholes.

  • Cute!!!!!!!

  • LOL at the begininng and end pure win lol @ Hachi's excited to dance face @ 9:36

You look amazing in the vid do a tutorial on the look you are rocking you effing gorgeous piece of work you. .. puwease :3

  • @NyuChi3 lol i know i love messing with him ^ ^ Thank you so much! I will try :]

  • A good topic to touch on and love how you begin and end it! ^_^

  • This song...not the poptart cat!!!!!

  • Thank u for touching on this, it is kinda a taboo subject. And one of the main reasons I don't join the gyaru community, which is sad... :/

  • @popartsicle aww. well you shouldn't let that stop you from doing what you really want to do. don't let them ruin your fun.

  • <3

  • what is a gal???

  • Really offtopic but what is that highly addictive song you`re dancing to? X3

  • @smilingwhitedevil look up nyan cat :D

  • I totally understand what you're saying. I mean, I can kind of relate because I've started to do gal all of the time, as my normal style and although, I'm white, I am plus sized, so I do get a lot of shit for dressing it. So thank you so much for this rant<3

  • @kwonmiyong Aww no problem. It's for all the gals out there who are being stereotyped in general. I mean there are times when critiques need to be made by gals who simply ARE NOT trying to make a decent effort but there are times when gals are picked on for the dumbest and most irrelevant reasons like weight/race.

  • @kwonmiyong You can do whatever you want kwonmiyong, don't let anyone be a meanie head to you! :)

  • I totally agree

And you have a nice bod js

  • @lovelyxmiyabi thanks lover <3

  • So what. Black babes are better at ganguro/gyaru than white girls. By Necessity! Their skin is darker! Duuuhh! If they were white (pale) they wouldn't be gal would they!! This is not an argument even worth having...

  • @StealthSim1 White/Hispanic women do just as good of a job at gyaru as black girls are capable of. Fail comes with every race.

  • @StealthSim1 I can't really say that. I'm white/hispanic mixed. I'm a pale-ass so I stick with Ulzzang. I'm saying, though, white gals can get TANS. A lot of California girls easily have brown skin. Most of those girls are brown. Japanese girls even go get deep tans. :3 It looks good on Hispanic chicks, too.

  • Most of the time calling them wannabe. In my small town, you don't see many black girls (or guys) who don't follow the stereotypes. Let alone following the gyaru style, but the ones who do usually have a strange confidence and i love hanging around them when I can. Either way, I think everyone should love each other for who they are not their color or nationality or whatever(especially if they share the same style and intrests).

  • Alot of the students openly say they don't like black people and they don't like mixed kids. So, I go through that alot. also in my school there is like a korean group of highschoolers and some of them think i'm cool because of my korean friend introducing but the rest think i'm a wannabe and tend to ignore me.I've been on Ulzzang sites and Gyaru sites and anytime there is a black girl following the fasion there is at least two people who rant against them.

  • I agree with everything you said! I go to a school where racism is kind of a normality. They don't pick on people but it is VERY annoying when they say stuff like"Are you trying to be asian?" or "You asian wannabe". They always say i'm weird because i love japanese and korean stuff but my phillipino friend and my white friend love the style as well and no one makes fun of them. My school frowns on mixed couples and blacks i guess....

  • (...) it, and help each other to be better gyaru, whatever color we are; Just because I've seen so many change in this community, I can't scream for racism, but I just scream for unfairness. Oh and by meaning "black gyaru" and "white gyaru",I mean "SOME OF THEM" and I'm not being racist here =) I used these terms just to be clear. So get me wrong, I love every gyaru in this com and I wish we could all get along and show the world how western gyaru rocks it ! Please people don't be discouraged ^^

  • @toomokoisvip Very well said my friend. It's so ironic how the tables have turned over time. I personally wasn't into gal for that long (only about 5 years now) so I didn't experience when black gals had it easy. But I can see how things must have been looking at how the majority of the community has it. It is unjust and that's why I'm shedding some light on it and exposing it for what it really is. And yes, I am definitely not saying that all non-black gals are racists in anyway...just the ones

  • @toomokoisvip that actually are can go suck a bag of dicks ^ ^ Haha i just hate bigots ruining all the fun.

  • (...) But when gyaru style evolved to the whole "gyaru next gen" thing, I think that's when everything started (I think the bullying towards black gyaru). Gyaru next gen suddenly looked paler, and more occidental looking, so obviously, white gyaru could relate directly to them. And it's fair. BUT, what is not fair at all, is doing the same thing they endured during the yamamba wave towards black gyaru today. I think we should ALL accept the features of each other, as we CAN'T do anything about

  • Thank you for this. Especially when I'm having a hard time psychologically dealing with all that "perception of black people doing the gyaru style" nowadays. First of all, I'm black and I've been into gyaru fashion for about 7 years now. I went through a period when being black in the gyaru community was seen like "having it easier", especially when ganguro&yamamba style were in. People were making fun of white gyaru doing the yamamba style and I was really shocked about that back in the days.

  • This was awesome... and funny at the end. I always thought that calling these names towards black gals was more in fear. Idk i cant think right now , maybe cause its a saturday. My go and rest mode is on.

  • nyan cat intro....WIN!! lol

  • yay nyan nyan nyan nyan nyan nyan etc etc =D

I'm not gal .... but for some reason I can relate to this 0___0???

and I agree with everything you said :OOO

I remember reading gyaru secrets a few years ago, and yeah .... some of the comments were reallllly bad D:

oh ~ and hahaha @ the end ~ your dog is like "omg put me down nao~~ "

  • @chazzierazzieroo lol i how he puts up with my crayyyyyziness!! XD Glad you could relate.

  • oh my god nyan cat lol

  • i really like how you sumed it all up. i'm a new Gal and i'm still learning. i think people who have a problem are just threaten and jealous of us.

  • I agree 100%. Gyaru Secrets can be pretty brutal for new gals and especially new black gals. I remember backing out of introducing myself into Everyday Gal in 09 because of a nasty secret i read. But i've just decided that i dont care about what they say and i'm intro-ing on my b-day. If it wasn't for Lisha, Moku, and you i think i would have gave up gal a long time ago.

  • @RinnyFresh Aww see that's what I like to hear! People are bound to say hurtful things like that online but if you have people like Lisha and Moku to look up to you know you can say F U to those losers being lame trolls. Glad you never gave up!

  • whats gyaru and all this other stuff?

  • @Crissybesr I'd explain but google will do it better I promise you.

  • Damn girl, Im gonna have to make a video response. Its very hard to be different in the black community

  • That's the thing though... It's a STYLE. Not a LIFE. SKIN COLOR does not have to matter! I personally don't care if my style icons are white, Spanish, black, Asian- I don't care! It's not skin-deep for me. My style icons are simply my icons because of their style. If they happen to be black or white or whatever, then good for them because they rock the look and that's what I also love them for!

I think getting riled up over skin or race is something that belongs in the stone ages.

  • @whiterosesoftheheart EXACTLY! People bring it up more so when insulting/degrading a gal or a person without properly criticizing them for their actual style. It's pure hatred/racism and someone needed to shed some light on it.

  • This is so true! I feel so much better and inspired now <3

  • I'm sorry, I didn't really understand everything you said ( I don't understand english so well ) so I can't agree or desagree but I think that if you want to be a gal that do it ! black white yellow or anything ! it's a style and a way of life so some girls !

Don't laugh but personally I don't wear gyaru's clothes at all I only wear very simple clothes but in my mind I'm gyaru if feel like it ! I don't like that idea of community ! I mean if you want to follow magazines or someone !

  • rofl..."i love that damn song"

  • i wish i knew all this terminology lol seems interesting, but i'm LOST than a muggg honeyyy!! :)

  • I loved the dance, it was very cute =)

Anyway I like your opinions of this topic, so true. People who try new things are almost always put down by the standard expectations of society. Ignorance and a closed mind are two deadly and foolish combinations.

"It is neither good or bad, but thinking makes it so" -William Shakespeare

But im kinda confused what exactly is a black gal? Please excuse my ignorance =)

  • @Hero00 gal or gyaru is a Japanese sub-culture that actually started back in the 70's....wait 80's.....IDR! But it's evolved to a newer fashion so if one is dressing or living like a gal, you would classify them by the term "gal" or "gyaru". There are other types of gyaru but i don't wanna gett too into that haha! And of course black gals are gals that are black...of African descent.

  • Sexy airhead.... but I will continue to look at every video....

  • Preach! I feel like your videos just express my thoughts perfectly! But you know what, we can't wait for everyone to accept us. If we do, we'll just be waiting forever.

  • Hey, at least Black gyaru don't have to tan~:) And we already have thick, beautiful curly hair. To tell you the truth, when i become a gyaru (I am half black) i can't wait to take on the challenge of proving that afro like hair looks beautiful in gyaru, especially on Black gals.

Btw, i agree with everything that you have said~ You're video has actually really inspired me, and i think i have decided that ,i for sure, want to be a gyaru now:)

  • @yukimirose YAY! that's good to hear :D Glad you're motivated because of this :] & yes, i love how we don't have to tan lol

  • I completely agree with you :)

  • What are you talking about.

  • @Kayonmangement omfg...google it.

  • @Kayonmangement people saying that black people can only be one thing...it gets annoying. We have to be a stereotype in order be excepted. it fucking sucks.

  • @Jacquelyn104 I completely understand where she's coming from.Everyone that I hang out with thinks I'm weird.I'm called anerexic for being skinny. If I wear my hair a certain way, people stare at me.I am constantly being judge and its funny because it's by my own kind.

  • @Kayonmangement play it over and over untill you get it.
