A man who sang from the bottom of his great big heart. Met him once when he stayed at the Royal Waikoloan Beach Hotel & I was his Room Service waitress. Talk about a laid-back local braddah. Not just for the great tip, but because he didn't have the "STAR Mentality"; he said, 'howzit sistah, how's your day?" What a special spirit this man had! What a joy he must have been to know! I've recently discovered his music and have fallen in love with the voice and the spirit of IZ and only wish I'd known of it much sooner! Thank goodness for the technology that allows us to still hear his singing, and for those of us who were unable to know him personally, to know his spirit through his loving voice!! His gift of music is his legacy. My granddaughter (8) just discovered his music and she is in awe, she was also sad to learn he had moved from the boundaries of this world into the next.
