I see this completely differently as an Australian. Probably as a seventh generation from the second fleet from the prison colonies 200 years ago. We learned all the stories past down the generations from our grandparents. It's not all what it appears. if YOU think YOU have a right of freedom of choice or speach, think again, and if YOU beleive that. walk into a court room and wear YOUR hat, even if YOU take it off to show nothing is there and put it back on see what hapens if YOU choose to wear YOUR hat, or speak out of turn to a judge and see how long it takes for that freedom of speach to be talking from behind bars under contempt of court with no right to an attroney or right of hearing or trial to defend YOURSELF,,,blind,deaf and stupid

I see. Chain gang labor goes back to the 1860's in the US. Ball and chain labor used on inmates as well for much longer. Idea is to limit their movement while engaging them in labor. Chaining legs restricts movement while allowing them to work and move more easily. Check out our clip on the history of chain gangs.
