@Formuluh no you dont have to be good at sports but you have to be in shape for PT day i was on the high school football team so im kinda used to excersizing. i am a freshmen and this is my first year in rotc so i guess this is when you start. hope this helps!!!

@tywainwright1 there are no stupid questions. Raiders is mostly just an extra carriculaer activity in JROTC that focuses on team building exercises and events, along with individual physical improvement. the competitions i went to focused on physical, some what individual events such as push-ups curl-ups and a 1 mile run. and team building events such as a 1 rope bridge, land nav. and some times a random event. ^.^ hope that helped
@POOPANAITOR i have probrably told this to 3 other people, that the cords can go on either side because they are 2 different teams its not like one is better or more than the other just different. and 2nd the criteria, if you read in the cad. man. is up for your sai to decide, for our raider and drill cord it is 4 competitions and you have to stay a raider or on the drill team to keep them. if you left either the drill or raider teams you would lose your cord :/

@21jblader to earn mine you have to go to 3-4 drill competitions and only miss a maximum of 2 practices, and to keep it you still cant miss more than 2 practices within a semester. respect or gtfo
@josetellez8 and how much do you weigh 140-160, take a book bag or a weight vest put in enough weight to get 230 and then try to do that, you will find it is much harder for you to do pul-ups and run because of the added weight. if i were to instantly lose 90-60 pounds i would easily be able to do more pull ups run faster and do more crunches than you.

I commmented on this video before and im in Navy JROTC and CAP and if there is one thing that I have learned about these uniforms is that when you walk out in public with these uniforms on you represent the military adn if you walk out there looking like crap (Exhibit A) people look at you and they say "Wow this kid is not proud enough to represent the military" but if you walk around looking great people say " Wow this kid represents the military"

Did they switch the side your ribbons go on? because im looking at the newest edition of the cadet refrence and it says ribbons go above your left pocket, on here yours are above your right =S all your basic stuff(ribbons, name plate, arcs, unit crest, and honor unit insignia) are on the wrong side, idk maybe your schools has different manuals than us
@MedicmanFP My Master Sergeant is the leader of it. This is how she sees it and so do I. If you can do ten push ups and the other guy does fifty you gave the team an extra points. But Raiders will change you and I have to say, it has to be the best one out there that you can do in JROTC next being Drill Team in my mind. But do not hesitate to try out. It will be difficult but you can do it.

How does a SFC get so many ribbons my cousin is now a C/LtCol and he didin't get that many till he was a captin i think i am currently a C/Ssgt with only 12 ribbons
@maximusgladi8or OK just from my personal experience your name tape is supposed to be above the right breast pocket. I don't know if you already have it this way but the highest award ribbon is supposed to be closest to your heart and above the left breast pocket. I don't know about the arcs. Epaulets look good. The chords should be switched. Again on the name tape it looks like it is very loose so put a piece of cardboard behind that. Other than that good I guess.
@LtHotchkiss at our school its on the pocket flap, i have a name tag not name tape, i can wear my chords which ever side i want to i worked harder for my raider cord than my drill chord therefore i find it more important, and at our school your ribbons are ardered the way they are in the book, if u wer to look at my ribbons and then the book they would be in the same order, and my name tag i dropped a frog and haddent noticed until after i posted the video, sorry.

@LtHotchkiss well there is your mistake, ROTC is the actual preperation of military personel they will be more strict on how their standards are and if u notice the people in ROTC WANT to be there, in JROTC it is only to teach basic leadership skills its not that strict because it is NOT the preperation of military personel, but to help set guidelines and have the kids that set the example usking a paramilitary style, also in JROTC not every one there wants to be there.

@AThousandPenguins808 if you have the sleeve rank like mine then you just slide them on, if you have the gold pin on rank, then just place them in the middle f the lappel. and tips on ranking up, just get involved, volunteer for everything even if you don't know what to do be the first to raise your hand for it. remember the SAI and AI are there to help you and guide you not to test you. also study study study when the boards come around and you get pick to go, you want to know everything.

@josetellez8 and how much do you weigh 140-160, take a book bag or a weight vest put in enough weight to get 230 and then try to do that, you will find it is much harder for you to do pul-ups and run because of the added weight. if i were to instantly lose 90-60 pounds i would easily be able to do more pull ups run faster and do more crunches than you.

I commmented on this video before and im in Navy JROTC and CAP and if there is one thing that I have learned about these uniforms is that when you walk out in public with these uniforms on you represent the military adn if you walk out there looking like crap (Exhibit A) people look at you and they say "Wow this kid is not proud enough to represent the military" but if you walk around looking great people say " Wow this kid represents the military"

Did they switch the side your ribbons go on? because im looking at the newest edition of the cadet refrence and it says ribbons go above your left pocket, on here yours are above your right =S all your basic stuff(ribbons, name plate, arcs, unit crest, and honor unit insignia) are on the wrong side, idk maybe your schools has different manuals than us

@MedicmanFP My Master Sergeant is the leader of it. This is how she sees it and so do I. If you can do ten push ups and the other guy does fifty you gave the team an extra points. But Raiders will change you and I have to say, it has to be the best one out there that you can do in JROTC next being Drill Team in my mind. But do not hesitate to try out. It will be difficult but you can do it.

@maximusgladi8or OK just from my personal experience your name tape is supposed to be above the right breast pocket. I don't know if you already have it this way but the highest award ribbon is supposed to be closest to your heart and above the left breast pocket. I don't know about the arcs. Epaulets look good. The chords should be switched. Again on the name tape it looks like it is very loose so put a piece of cardboard behind that. Other than that good I guess.

@LtHotchkiss at our school its on the pocket flap, i have a name tag not name tape, i can wear my chords which ever side i want to i worked harder for my raider cord than my drill chord therefore i find it more important, and at our school your ribbons are ardered the way they are in the book, if u wer to look at my ribbons and then the book they would be in the same order, and my name tag i dropped a frog and haddent noticed until after i posted the video, sorry.

Umm as I recall JROTC and ROTC are supposed to go by the militarys standards not the "schools standards". I'm not trying too pick a fight I am just trying to give advise

@LtHotchkiss well there is your mistake, ROTC is the actual preperation of military personel they will be more strict on how their standards are and if u notice the people in ROTC WANT to be there, in JROTC it is only to teach basic leadership skills its not that strict because it is NOT the preperation of military personel, but to help set guidelines and have the kids that set the example usking a paramilitary style, also in JROTC not every one there wants to be there.
