  • The harp intro is the single greatest piece of music ever to bless my ears.. Thank you SoP:')

  • This is bad ass. It goes awesome with resistance 3 as background music.

  • I am constantly amazed by every aspect of this band. The vocalist's ability to growl out such complex, and fast-paced phrases is simply awesome.

  • @TheheavydutyJB33 you're ear pussies are too tight to accept real metal

  • @deathcoreisgay67 Love the username.

  • i bet the drummer can make some girls happy with those fingers :)

  • the blasts, the solo<3, the technicality...yum

  • It has woman on crack in the related vids :D

  • definitely new favorite band, right after necrophagist and dying fetus

i salute thine techincal mastery \m/

  • @vulturevenom18 check disavowed and visceral bleeding too :)

  • one of the sickest songs ever written

  • Killer lyrics.

  • カニコーに似てるなぁ

  • i came so hard

  • @yopeterman yeah i was so lazy when it came to makeing a user name i didnt care and i said super super cool but yeah this song is super super cool

  • Fucking sick shit, I'm glad I came across this

  • I love how on the related videos there is a video called "Woman on Crack" LoL that made me laugh :D

  • I love how "woman on crack" is in the suggestions

  • By far the coolest song they have written in my opinion.

  • @SuperSupercool91 i agree. you might say its "super super cool".

  • they ought to ask Glen BENTON to do the vox for em on the next album.

  • HELL yeah.

  • So inspiring to us...

  • one of the finest death metal songs ever written!!! complete sickness!!! \m/

  • this bands tha shiiiiiiiiit

  • i actually love the way the vocals carry the song especially toward the end. good shit.

  • like seriously who fukin cares if he triggers, saw them live,,blew me the fuk away,,these guys r top of the heap,,haters r just jealouse

  • @corybiro : what about triggers, anyway? they don#t make your drumkit faster, just change the sound a bit.

  • @gurkenhamster Ya bro but they also make it so you can get a consistent sound no matter how hard or soft you hit the drum... so really you could be toe tapping and play kick drum like this.... Most of the drummers in metal today couldn't do what they do without them.

  • @JordieOz : Yeah? I didn't know that. Thanks. But then, those triggers wouldn't be that great for me, because sometimes i like to variate the volume of every kick, like jazz drummers.

  • @JordieOz Necrophagist does.

  • @ActionMan153 What, you're saying Romain in Necrophagist doesn't use triggers? He does.

  • @ryder187mac Actually which metal drummer doesn't use triggers? None, at these speed the double pedal would only sound like a rumble so they use triggers to make it possible to hear something other than just BRLBRLRBLRBLBRLBRLBRLBRLBRLBRLBR for the double peds.

  • @masterpotatoe I know that, thanks.

Dirk Verbreuen doesn't use triggers btw, neither does Roddy or Kollias in his solo stuff.

  • @masterpotatoe This speed ? that's not fast on the double bass x)

The snare.. THIS is the awesome thing in this song !

He's blasting like an epileptic robot

  • he needs to trigger his snares and toms. FINE ASS metal right here

  • @overlord3069 Why the hell would he need to trigger his shit. If you cant play with consistent power and articulation than you have a technique problem. Besides thats just bad mixing that you're hearing.

  • I would gas 50,000 Jews just to be this talented.

  • fucking hell calm down why the hell are theses guys such fucking awesome br00tal muther fuckers?

  • I'm learning the drum part, i wanna wanna play this song for summer if it's possible :]

  • @SkollDrum DO eeeet \m/

  • so what is the instrument between the ambience and the song? a harp?

  • What the FUCK? Why are these guys not more well known? They're like...The fucking fastest most technical band I've EVER heard!

  • @DimebagHK Yes... I know... sad isnt it? Im just glad I found them! They are my new favourite band.

  • I love the snare in this song.... This drummer is a machine. If the snare sound was actually a M60 firing, you would probably have to reload it 5 times before the song was over.

  • @greenlink1 /watch?v=gc2UWHEDlG8

  • Mann dis ist bRRutal

  • yo where the wayne be at u faggot ass emos

  • Comment removed

  • @halwil03 emo? there are no emos here. try searching my chemical romance if you want emos.

  • @halwil03 english please

  • fastest tech death I've ever heard!

  • @fround4 You haven't listened to Sadus yet. then you tell me witch one is fastest ;)

  • @karlbertiljohnsson Well... the blasting in this song is like 280 or 290. It's hammer blasts. Doesn't sound as fast as it is. A lot of this band's music sounds like it was written in half-time... a lot of the guitar sounds like theyre counting 140 or 145 maybe. I suppose a lot of death metal sounds that way to me.

  • I swear the drummer is a machine.

  • thumbs whore is fucking everywhere

  • Comment removed

  • @alexchinatown thumbs down for mentioning shit music

  • @emildeath95 happy now there gone

  • @emildeath95 really.....people that obviously studied thoery...modern composers...the music is amazing...id like to see u make something better woh r u to judge any way asshole....or anyone for that matter who isnt like them caughs SIGNED!

  • probably the best graphic art i have ever seen

  • @overlord3069 Obviously haven't seen Tool's

  • @overlord3069 lol, you havent seen much in ur life, i guess

  • @overlord3069 actually i make graphic art myself and im pretty frequent on deviant art, so yea...ive seen quite a bit

  • @overlord3069 You have posted this to yourself.

You make painting like this ?

  • fucking love this intro

  • aaaa

  • SOP kicks so much ass!!

  • this is fast...

  • Spawn of Possession is good. So is Necrophagist. Now all of you shut the hell up about it and enjoy some great metal.

  • sounds like zelda at the intro

  • Best.Song.Ever. SOP is the best tech. death band out, fuck Necrofagist!

  • @djjuicylord woah fuck you. SOP is awesome but dont fucking diss Necrophagist.

  • @djjuicylord

    brain drill

  • @666Winterdemon666 lolno. Brain Drill sucks ass.

  • @djjuicylord they dont really suck ass, they are just very fast, but there is very few musicial harmony, lyrics are good tough.

  • @666Winterdemon666 they are just very fast, but there is only few musicial harmony, lyrics are good tough.

  • @yayizme Yeah they suck. It's obvious they have talent but to play so fast and aggressive they're insanely boring and one-dimensional. Bands like Flesh Consumed and Embryonic Devourment are so much better.

  • @djjuicylord Always love it when I find quality music in some comment on the bottom of some page of some band i don't even really like. Flesh consumed - amazing

  • @alteredperceptions5 They're a really under appreciated band especially considering how quality of other bands in the genre fluctuate.

  • that was absolutely brilliant! Al for President!

  • whilst the vocals are simple by themselves

and the drums arent THAT hard

HOLY SHIT HE DOES THEM TOGETHER???!?!?!?!?!!!!?!?!!!!one1!11!!?

  • @xaqshana the drums are just about fucking impossible. unless you are the absolute best drummer, master of every technique, you cant even say these are remotely easy.

  • @ActionMan153

    ... your right

i was listening through dodge speakers

    holy fuck

  • @ActionMan153 meh not really bro. once you get your fingering down this is fairly easy

  • @jewfishie2 then can you play it perfectly?

  • @ActionMan153 if i was arsed to learn it most likely

  • @jewfishie2 If you would be as so kind as to post a video of you playing a cover of this song, it would settle this dispute. But if not, I'm obligated to realize that you are lying out your fucking ass.

  • Holy shit blast beats

  • what meaning does the artwork convey?

  • @concussedcarneous badass-ness.

  • FUCK YHAAEEHHHHH

  • Relentless describes this song. SO FUCKING SICK

  • michael keene from the faceless recomended me this band

    he loves SOP too !

  • what are the lyrics to this !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrTaco9000 GRRR ROOOOAR,,RRRAAAA GOOOOOO GRRRRRRR HEEEEEEE GRROOOOOOOAAR.. sums it up!!!!

  • if you want another heavy metal song look up skull full of maggots by cannible corpse

  • this songs cool

  • my definite favourite of them. I can hear the classicals in this....and its heavy as fuck!

it manages to be superbly technical, atmospherical, and heavy/catchy all at once. a true masterpiece

  • one of the best technical songs i've ever heard

  • that blast beat is so clean you could eat off of it

  • Necrophagist may be really skilled, but their songwriting really lacks

  • @TheMetalHQ What part of it lacks?

  • @tomalophicon the fact that they sacrifice flow for technicality sumtimes

  • Anyone have a song more intense, chaotic and heavier then Anaal Nathrakh - Pandemonic Hyperblast?

  • dude, this is fucking amazing. Can't believe I haven't heard much of this band before. Technical Death metal tour de force, man.

  • I want to have sex to this song.

  • omg all i see from your comments is bitch bitch bitch bitch

  • love the introoo

  • man dude, holy fucking crap, SoP was good, hellish, brutal, amazing (well u got the point)

its gonna be even more awsome!!!!

    new line-up

Matthew "chalky" Chalk : voice (former front member of psycroptic)

Christian Muendez : guitar (from Necrophagist, Obscura)

Elrend Casperson: bass (from Blood red throne, The all seeing I)

    Richard Schill: Drum (from Shining)

Jonas Bryssling: guitar (original SoP member)

  • Christian Muendez?!

His name is Christian Muenzner... and he isn´t anymore in Necrophagist. But: that´s fucking great, I really look forward to the third record!

Man, that one will kick ass... :)

  • funny intro\ imba song

  • I googled "heaveist metal song ever" and yahoo answers popped up telling me this song was one and Hate Eternal - King Of All Kings is the second. Carnage.

  • lol i did the exact same thing

  • @hellraiser42000

I have 1 playlist consisting 4 songs, that is for ultimate occasions, it consists from those both! haha, and in addition

    origin - the aftermath

fleshgod apocalypse - in honour of reason

  • someone in that yahoo-list for the heaviest song ever wrote Marilyn manson and die romance.. HAHAHAHAHA :)

  • Blast beat? More like blast beast! Awesome track.

  • Just learnt this song on bass. Fuck yeah, intense!

  • @shebeski

    Upload it, i demand

  • grimest of the grim

  • i like this band alot better than Necrophagist. they have similar styles except SOP is faster and more brutal.

  • its like apples and oranges, yeah faster, the toes are so different comparatively. Necrophagist has alot of counterpoint (2 different prominent music lines) the guitars oin this vary, but not as widely. I cant really say One is better than the other. Id agree this def. fulfills my brutality fix.

  • @Symbolyst

    nice comment

  • Not to mention far more interesting, creative, dynamic, have more intricate instrumentation.

  • well yeah, they both have different way to do technical shit. However i love them both and i respect your opinion. KEEP IT BRUTAL MAN!

  • @Caporacolo Yup, I did that too.

  • @voccontact

yeah... also Necrophagist has less feeling and soul in their music than a robot.

But both are really good especially SoP!!!

  • yeah SOP isn't afraid to throw in some experimental/groovish stuff which necrophagist would never do.

  • yeah... because if Necrophagist did that, their technical wankery loving fans of their would revolt and say that are "not good" anymore...

  • Necrophagist has plenty of soul+feel to their music, just because you dont understand something dont mean you have to talk crap about it. You know what ,bands like Behold the Arctopus are over my head and to me sounds like they have no feeling but Im sure lots of people would disagree, just because my brain cant fully comprehend the subtleties of their music is not good enough reason (for me) to slag them. Necrophagist has no feeling? Clean out your ears, light up a fatty and actually LISTEN!

  • @metalkarloz

I listen to it... yes its quite complex, but I can understand it.

They have little soul/feeling to their music but are very technical in return. In addition to that, they are also very talented...

I'm starting to enjoy their music some more now... =D

  • Is that because of the fatty? :-P

  • fatty?? =P

  • The reefer, spliff, joint, ganja, dagga, zol, marijuana...

  • nah... I just began to see it through the eyes of Necrophagist fans (well some of their fans... lol)

  • @metalkarloz You are fucking right, but i personally feel this way for both necro and behold

  • Necrophagist soul and feel? haha no, it's Muhammed wanking through the same diminished scales and sweeping patterns over and over again. Don't get me wrong, I love the band and listen to em a lot, but if you can't admit that they are mindless wankery than you are just ignorant.

  • Ok, then Im ignorant. But seriously I hear plenty of feeling and soul when I hear Necrophagist, Technicality and precision can go hand in hand with feeling, I feel the same way about the later Death albums. But I guess if certain music invokes strong feelings of emotion in me and if I hear the

passion that went into making it then that makes me ignorant.... Go kill yourself:-)

  • Maybe you just haven't enough metal with actual feel and soul? I mean I used to feel about Necrophagist just like you do, but since then I've found a lot more different metal and Necrophagist just seems showy and tacky.

  • I listen to a reasonably diverse selection of metal and a few other types of music. Would you care to enlighten me on what particular bands you were referring to?

  • hmm well first bands that come to mind are things like Alcest and Agalloch. As well as some black metal acts like Burzum, Drudkh and Deathspell Omega. For death metal, I would say Atheist, Gorguts, and Cryptopsy's first two. oh, and Portal. if you've never heard of them, look up "Portal - Glumorphonel" and watch the live video in hd. Especially if you're stoned, it'll blow your fucking mind.

  • @Romencer17 dude, I love gorguts man. Just heard Obscura(the album) the other day, mind altering, most unique album I've ever heard.

  • @ElrichBros1992 if you enjoyed Obscura check out the band Portal. They're similar to Gorguts in the dissonance, but much more chaotic and atmospheric.

  • @voccontact wait for the new necrophagist with drummer romain goloun, its gonna be some of their best work, goloun can fucking carry bands with his skills alone, put him with 3 talented muscians and its gonna be an octagon of ear rape.

  • @voccontact I'm starting to like SoP a bit more than Necrophagist but I still love 'em both. I'd still say Muhammad is a better musician/songwritter than anyone in SoP though =P

  • @MetalTillDeth44 Muhammed could never growl at that speed. Hell, I can't even read the the lyrics orally that fast from a sheet.

  • @yishto Shit man, same with me lol. This dude absolutely has to be the best vocalist I've ever heard, in terms of speed and br00tality. Yes, better than, CC and fetus ^^

  • @Commandaunt well ofc, you never saw the drummer of CC or fetus sang did ya?

thats the drummer singing, its not even brissling

it was Brissling on Cabinet and on Noctambulant it was the Drummer (forgot his name since hes not there anymore its the drummer from Shining now) wich is pretty impressive

try first, to sing like him

2nd, try to blast beat like that fucking drum!

    3rd sing and drum altogether!

    >.<

    O.O

(I could wrong on whos singing on wich album, but if I am, just switch the order)

  • @joesakik88 Naw the drummer sang on both albums

  • @Headbanger9000 really? i tough that bastard was only on one album!

    good to know, thanks!

    hes a fucking god!

  • @joesakik88 Wait when they play live does he do the vocals while drumming?

  • @HailThyDrumKit yes, but they got a new line-up, Matthew Chalky gna sing now XD

Idk much about the details, im sure some infos are on their myspace page

sadly theres no video of Spawn of Possession playing live, lets hope some will be in the future!

  • @voccontact I like Necro's riffs compared to Spawn, but Spawn definitely has more to their solo's than just repetitive and predictable sweeptapping (which dont get me around, its cool until about track 3 haha).

Take this solo for example. Has a good amount of bends with some fast fingerwork which dont lose momentum in this song.

  • @voccontact

I prefer not to say which band i like the most, but what are the reasons i like it. Necrophagist definitly for their "clean" and rather calm melodic sound, while SOP as You call it for the combination of terrible chaos and some damn good instrumental work. A think that Visceral Bleeding is also worth mentioning next to Spawn of Possesion.

  • @Metaliseverything Yeah, SOP definitely remind me of Visceral Bleeding.

  • @voccontact

im pretty sure one of these guys used to play guitar for necrophagist, but dont quote me on that lol

  • @killamaniac08 2 month old comment but hey I'll reply anyway! None of the members that played on their two albums are ex-Necrophagist. However the new lead guitarist is Christian Muenzer who plays currently with Obscura, but did play with Necro :-)

  • @SimpJee what happened to bryssling?

  • @pepperfart Nothing! He writes all of the guitar parts, but doesn't do the solos. He plays rhythm.

  • @voccontact See, for me, faster does not always equal better. These guys are decent, but I feel Necrophagist has a lot more feeling and soul in the music, not just technicality for technicality's sake.

  • @blackbeaststripes i think that necrophagist is probably a little more technical, but i think that this band definately has more soul and groove.

  • @voccontact spawn for sure is more technical then necrophagist

  • @blackbeaststripes Really? I feel that way about Spawn of Possession. Necrophagist just seems to throw crap in to make it more confusing (I.e. the end of Only Ash Remains)

  • Blast beat ftw

  • You should watch the drum cam video of him playing Church of Deviance, now those are some blast beats...
