It is amazing how quickly Elvis went downhill from 1969 to 1977.

I both agree and disagree with that. His register certainly changed. Part of it got weaker and part of it got stronger. I think his voice became more frail but his ability to hit certain notes with incredible power increased. Strange really. Anyways that's my 2 cents on it. The voice is one of a kind though. Unbelievable emotion and projection. Magical and otherworldly.
