@MISSBRITTxX yeah they are my lil neice [6] does pageants and to her its a big game where she gets to dress up have her hair done and wear makeup and tan and if she dosent win she dosent care all she wants is to make freinds with the other girls and she always goes up and hugs the winner she says if she makes new friends and comes away with phone numbers shes won friends thats better than crowns to her
Don't you think that it is harsh to call a video that when it includes children?
At least when a mother is putting her daughter in a pageant, 90% of the time it is because they enjoy it and like to 'play dress up' To title this video "ugliness" definately speaks of your character and the type of person you are. You can state your message, but don't involve words that would hurt the children.
@christa2492 First of all, children will like what you tell them to like. Second, If you think that 90% of the time CHILDREN enjoy spending countless hours becoming SEXUAL OBJECTS (this after all is the reason women wear makeup- -to attract a mate) then you are lying to yourself. Finally, ugly is just a word. It means whatever you want it to and can have any connotation you choose.
Do you think little girls enjoy 'play dress up'? Have you ever watched TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras? Most girls in the show cry and scream when their moms put them on make-up such as mascara, hair spray and spray tan and costume. Do you still say "they like to play dress up"?
I think ugliness in this song refers ego of the mothers of the pageant girls. They treat their girls like living dolls.
excellent video. the music is frikin perfect. To capture ugliness woven among the outward displays of beauty is an awesome accomplishment.
