I miss the days when my beloved Wolverines used to go down to Bloomington for their annual ASS-Kickin'.....check the history of Knight teams hoem records versus U of M..as a Michigan fan you could always count on class being in session...and a L at the hands of Knight & Co.
Also, one of my favorite college players of all-time Calbert Chaney. Thanks for the highlight from '93.
I loved this team and the way they moved the ball. It worked so well because they had scorers that could draw eyes from the whole defense. I thought they were going to win it all, especially after making the Final Four the year before. They were stacked: Chaeney, both Grahams, Nover, Bailey, Henderson. If I remember correctly Alan Henderson got hurt in the regional final vs. Kansas and they lost a tough game.
Cheaney's jumper was such a thing of beauty. I can't think of another lefty who could go to his right so easily...it goes entirely against the instincts of the defender. And the Graham "brothers" were pretty awesome too. Pat shot 50+ from three and Greg was an incredible athlete who could stroke it pretty well too. What a team they had for those 2 years.
Cliff Rozier made the NBA, he was Louisville's threat for a couple years. And I also want to add that Bob Knight really helped Greg Graham become good enough to get drafted to the NBA.
Damn right. 92-93 Hoosiers were unstoppable, if only Alan Henderson hadn't hurt his knee...what if? Anyway, 16 and 1 in the Big Ten says a lot. Strong club, they were even better I think the year before with Eric Anderson and Jamal Meeks.
yep, they would have won the 1992 NCAA title too but they got screwed by Ted Valentine in the Final Four against Duke... still can't believe we had 4 players foul out of that game.
Dude I forgot about Matt Nover! This makes me feel like I'm 8 years old again! This team along with the previous season probably were the best Indiana teams to never win the title, minus the 75-76 team of course. IU basketball in it's prime! Man I miss seeing Bobby in that sweater.
Was Alan Henderson on this team? If he doesn't blow out his knew, IU wins it all.

Chaeney was so sick, un-guardable in college.

If they had one more minute, Todd Leary might have won that game for us.
But yeah, the second half calls were a travesty.

I agree, Jamal Meeks was one hell of a ballplayer.

As I watch this again it makes me miss when IU basketball was like this so much. Such a solid squad.
