Okay so in Cataclysm we use a priority system now, from highest to lowest:

Chain Lightning or Lightning bolt at 5 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon

Lava Lash at five stacks of searing flames

Stormstrike w/o debuff

Flame Shock if it's not up

Unleash Elements (I think)

Earth shock if Flame Shock's up

Stormstrike with debuff on

Lava Lash without five stacks of searing flames

Always have searing, WF, and SoE totems up. Macro wolves and +damage trinkets together.

Stfu. Blizz did it to balance out horde. In vanilla, they only had 1 class that could wear plate : warriors. All the eagle gear and lightforge gear was wasted because horde only had warriors that could wear plate.

there was a time when daggers were a okay off hand, because flametongue didn't increase in damage with hit, but they scaled the damage with it so now unless you can find a super slow dagger its just not worth it.

and you'll want to use 2 slow handed weapons. so 2 axes, maces, fist weapons. anything with 2.6 weapon attack speed or slower so that your windfury and flametongue weapons will actually hit for something.

ive made a math on the difference between earth shock and flame shock ... and you know what i came up with .. in a long term fight .. flame shock had 10k dps more added up with the dot.. which means ive lost dmg .. so get flame shock out of your rotation stupid idiots ...

@ goncarreira Enhancement shamans do not have DPS rotation. We have DPS priotation order. Meaning the fights will always be uniqe depending on how much your Maelstorm proccs, how good you are at using your Maelstorm proccs ASAP.

@ Frateradrustus you need to take another look at that order. LL is almost completly gone from the prio list(if your running with new relic) and MT should be much higher. I would say its about this(with 4t10 SB)

I'm curious why you say not to use lava burst? I mean why not, if there's 2+ mobs hit lava burst for like an extra 800 dmg at 60. When you pull a whole room the damage from magma totem and fire nova always puts me at top dps. That's my job aint it?

You only want to use lava burst when you're elemental, or when you're soloing and you want to pull something i guess too. The downside of using it dpsing as enhance is the fact that it resets your swing timers, meaning no MW procs, no static shock, no FT, no WF or anything.

Imo it's easy to play enh.

Put down your totems, then do:

-Stormstrike

-Earthshock

-Lava Lash

Repeat over and over, renewing magma totem when it runs out (you should get 2 rotations in before it runs out). Also, use maelstrom when it's 4 or 5/5 for chain lightning, this takes priority over any of your other attacks in your rotation at the time. Rewnew shields/totems when SS,ES and LL are on CD, not before or during.

You can sit down with a pen and paper and work out a rotation and crunch the numbers yourself.

PvP is where skill comes into play (not saying gear and class advantages dont).

PvE can be FUN and can present a challenge but everything is on Wowhead or Thottbot or whatever you use anyway. Plus, with video's up telling you how to use somebody else's rotation what is there really left to do bar do what your told?
