  • i feel bad for steven threet rich rod put a pro qb in a spread sytem wat a waste

  • Threet. Is. Gay. Yay!

  • Fuck Threet. Denard For Heisman!

  • Steven Threet Sucks BALLS!

    at the spread

  • ASU, needed a new starting QB, thats why he is there.

  • Steven threet transfered to ASU i dont know why could anyone tell me why

  • @Cgibson63 Michigan was going to a spread option from a pro style offense, and that's why he left Michigan

  • I would never expected an offensive shootout from these 2 teams they way they were playing that season

  • Thats My Nigga DC out there wreckin both ran on the same track team, Wings Baby!!!

  • This was one of Stonums only good plays all season long. He drops way too many passes, and he's not good at seperating from defenders. Everytime Threet or Sheridan would throw him a pass, he'd have a defender right on him. Stonum absolutely should not start next season. Junior Hemingway should start at outside receiver opposite Greg Mathews.

    Go Blue!

  • idk bro he had alot of problems last year off the field this year i think he might break out and doo his things this kidd has great speed we just havent seen it much

  • I don't dney Stonum has lots of raw talent. He wasn't ranked as the 52nd best player in the nation for nothing. But we definitely did not see that talent on the field last season. If he ends up starting this season, hopefully he proves himself

    Go Blue!

  • yeha i know what u mean thats the thing he was ranked to high and talkd about to much to not do shit his freshman year but lets just hope he wasnt comfortable last year and this year he shows out

  • @MICHIGANallDAY2 Dickrod is GONE!!!! Like I said he'd be!!!!

    Go Blue!

  • @Poole1Dan

Dude you're a fucking idiot Dan. You are an embarrassment to UM fans...I mean you are THE definition of "Walmart Wolverine"...."DickRod''? Really? You truly show your maturity level and lack of intelligence there. Do us TRUE Michigan fans a favor...shut the hell up...and go root for Ohio State jackass.

  • @maizeman90 You're half a year too late to be playing this game. Its over. Dickrod was fired. His 15-22 overall record, 6-18 in Big Ten, 3-18 against Big Ten teams not named Indiana and Minnesota taken with him. I called him dickrod cause he was a terrible fucking failure of a coach who deserved to be fired after the 2008 season. His defenses were literally the worst in team history, and his offenses were awful (08), bad (09), and an overrated paper tiger ('10)

  • @Poole1Dan

You're still a fucking idiot. You only use Dickrod cause you are 1) unoriginal 2) immature and 3) have low intelligence and small vocabulary meaning that is sadly the best you can do. Like i said you are an EMBARRASSMENT to the REAL Michigan fans out there so just shut it and just don't comment on anything Michigan related. Just go be a Buckeye fan you are a better fit with them

  • @maizeman90 Whatev. There's no point in debunking any of your unsubstantiated claims. Dickrod is no more unoriginal than "Go Blue" or any other commonly used phrase. You're bitching about my vocab cause you ain't got anything in the way of facts or reasoning. Such was the case with dickrod drones like you, and even 6 months after he was fired, you can't let him go

    Pathetic!

  • @Poole1Dan

Lol I'm not even a Dickrod drone. It was his time to go things just weren't working out. Everything you have said is unsubstantiated as well and is all your OPINION. You are the last person to speak the words pathetic...Only small dicked men would call a guy, a good man at that(despite his failures as a coach), by a childish and ignorant name. Grow some balls and grow up...or go be a Buckeye. UM fans with a clue don't want you associating yourself with the UM brand. You're a joke

  • @maizeman90 "Everything you have said is unsubstantiated as well"

Like what? I've stated nothing but facts about Hemingway and Stonum whilst throoughly explaining myself in the process. The fact that you can't refuse the substance of what I say and instead resort to attacking my vocab and other ad hominem attacks shows that you've gotten your ass handed to you in this argument. You act like I'm the only person on planet earth to use dickrod. Hey buddy: I didn't make that term up/

  • @maizeman90 Furthermore, I really don't care - nor does any other fan care - whether dickrod is a good person or not. The bottom line is he sucked balls as head coach, and he was fired as a result. You don't do what dickrod did at U-M and not expect harsh criticism to follow.

Lastly, I love how you want me to stop being a diehard Michigan fan just cause you disagree with me. It ain't happening pal. I've been to a dozen games (2 in thwe press box) and have watched a hundred others. Fuck off!

  • @Poole1Dan

Haha whoop de doo you went to a bunch of games good for you. Doesn't make you a diehard fan at all just means your more fortunate than others. No ones gives .02 how many games you've been to. Like how you brought out the Ad hominem retort...i only insulted your vocab in the wake of you using "Dickrod"...yea i know you didn't make it up...still a childish insult. Coaches deserve criticism when they fail...but insulting them like that? Is beyond childish. That is what Buckeyes do!

  • @maizeman90 "Doesn't make you a diehard fan at all"

Yes it does. Why would I waste my time and money so many Saturday afternoons if I wasn't a diehard fan of the Michigan Wolverines? Besides, you don't even know me. You're just puffing smoke like the little bitch that you are because I made cheap shots against dickrod, err, Richrod, in the process of explaining why he was a terrible head coach who deserved to be fired. Seriously, get over yourself!

  • @maizeman90 " No ones gives .02 how many games you've been to"

Right, because supporting the coach is more important than attending games and taking time and money out of your life to do so?

    Absurd.

Yes, I called him dickrod, and I will continue to do so when idiots like you defend him (which hardly ever happens anymore, I might add). Besides, I don't hold myself to a higher standard than anybody. I'll use whatever tactics I need to use to get to my ends. So get out of my face!

  • Stonum is probably one of the fastest and most talented players on the team..

Not everyone just walks in and dominates as a true freshman

  • so was Doug Dutch when he was here. how did that work out? Stonum is looking like the next Dutch right now

also, I don't expect everyone to come in and dominate as true freshmen, but I also don't expect everyone to stink up the joint like Stonum did. BTW, why are you defending two players who played so poorly last season in Odoms and Stonum? do you also think Nick Sheridan is the next Brian Griese? LOL

  • Im not defending them, im just saying they were true freshman and we didnt have better options..what reciever could have a great year with nick sheridan as a qb? i

yeah hemmingway should start with his 6 career catches and all..the kid had more rushing attempts than receptions last year...what has he shown you that stonum hasnt?

  • "im just saying they were true freshman and we didnt have better options"

well we have better options this season. Hemingway is healthy, LeTerryal Savoy had a great spring, Cameron Gordon and JeRon Stokes are arriving, and James Rogers (who averaged over 20 YPC last seasob), has great speed. I'd take all those guys over Stonum. and in the slot, U-M has got Teric Jones and Gallon enrolling, Feagin moved to the slot permenently, and T-Rob healthy. Odoms had better lose his job.

  • "yeah hemmingway should start with his 6 career catches and all"

thats 6 catches plus one TD catch in one career start, as opposed to Stonums 14 catches in 10 starts. In his time on the field, Hemingway has demonstrated good speed, great leaping ability, the ability to catch the ball in traffic, and excellent blocking skills (he's responsible for springing Odoms lose on that 50 yard screen against Miami). If nothing else, Hemingway actually catches the ball, which Stonum doesn't

  • if hemingway was that good, he would have found his way onto the field...Im gonna have to trust the opinion of the Michigan coaching staff over a youtuber...

  • "he would have found his way onto the field"

He wasn't 100% healthy last season like Stonum was, which is why Stonum started the season as the starter. After the Wisky game, Hemingway was shelved for the season due to mono. He's now 100% healthy, and he's ahead of Stonum on the depth chart. BTW, its really pathetic that you have such a boner for Stonum when he's played so terribly.

  • ok lets wait until the season to see who plays bettter

should donovan warren not start?..i heard we have some great walk on backups who have done good once before they should be fine

  • Fair enough. If Stonum ends up starting, I sure hope he's improved.

And to answer your question: I think Warren ought to be a starter, but only if he plays like he did in 2007 as opposed to 2008. If he ends up stinking again, then yes, somebody like Justin Turner or JT Floyd should take his job. we'll see what happens. and BTW, the only walkon CB who's even in the mix for PT is Floyd Simmons. so you really don't know what you're talking about when you say 'great walkon backups.'

  • Ok, i should have said great walkon backup...

bit im sticking to my original argument, Stonum, while not great, is better than Hemmingway in my opinion...

    We will agree to disagree

  • Rondizzle27, even dickrod and his retarted coaching staff saw what I saw in Hemingway, and as a a result, he has started almost every game opposite Stonum, and he's had more catches, yards, touchdowsn, and 100 yard receiving games then Stonum. Not to mention hemingway has proven to be a way better blocker. I was right. You were wrong. hemingway is better then stonum

    Go Blue!

  • @Poole1Dan

The fact that Hemmingway is better than Stonum couldn't have anything to do with most teams playing their #1 CB on Stonum could it. Both are about equal talents. Stonum has been underused very badly. Hemmingway is the better WR i do agree but difference in production has little do with ones talents and more to do with usage in scheme and the fact that countless times Stonum has been open and our QB's failed to get him the ball.

  • @maizeman90 Name me one team that played their NO.1 CB on Stonum when he wasn't being productive and Hemingway was. i dare you

And no, they ain't equal in talent. Stonums speed is probably the only talent edge he has on Hemingway, and even that's disputable.

As far as Hemingway being more prodcutive, then bottom line is he has the "it" factor that Stonum never ever has had at U-M. The spread option was just as unfriendly to Hemingway as it was to Stonum

  • @maizeman90 Also, the quarterbacking works both ways. Hemingway has the same QB as Stonum, whether thats been Denard, Tate, or Threet. Therefore, the QB doesn't explain the descrepencies in production between Hemingway and Stonum.

No matter, Stonum is pretty much off the team whereas only Roy Roundtree might be a better receiver on the roster than Hemingway.Stonum is a BUST

  • fair enough. lets just hope that whoever starts at outside receiver opposite Mathews has a really good season.

    Go Blue!

  • We are goin to be seeing a lot of that with Tate Forcier as the QB!

    Go Blue!

  • Stonum is going to be good
