he's not been a touring member since 1994 'cause he's busy running Epitaph and only plays local California shows plus big and/or special events every once in a while
@Infernalfight666 He's busy running Epitaph, so he doesn't tour with them. His main function in the band is as songwriter, and he'll play with them when they are in the area.
sadly i have only seen them at warp tours and they seemed tired. they still sounded great, i just could have used more of em. i guess thats just how the warp tour works.
you guys must have been watcing a different live show cause they were unreal both times i saw them maybe its because i actually play an instrument and know a good live show when i see it.
nah, but keep in mind they are "symphonic" punk, so the recording quality glorifies their sound, and many don't realize that that can't be present in a live show 100%
I saw Hetson at a pet store a few days ago, dude is short. Im 5' 6" and i was taller then him..... he was cool though. He and his family were looking at snakes.
I was at this warped tour in Pompano FL. Their performance was sick!!!! They should have played a longer set though. A 30 min set is a big tease, especially for this band.
It's a compilation made by Brett of their Epitaph stuff before they moved to Atlantic. There are some live versions of songs though. Basically, I was being a smart-ass
Oh, and by the way; 'All Ages' Came out the year i was born! Go Me for being born in the year when one of Bad Religion's best albums came out (even though all of them are fucking amazing)
Hey, DrPrimate, first off; Fuck You. Greg Graffin IS Bad Religion. and Secondly, Fuck You..AGAIN! you're gonna state that greg isn't the leader, when he is. Also, do you know the definition of sociopath? and Greg is balding because he is aging. can you be of balding age, be a university professor, and still kick ass with Like he does?. No? Thought so, so shut the hell up.
I grew up listening to bad religion thier one of my all time favorite bands they are the SHIIZZZZNIT......One of a kind artists of their time for sure!!!!BAD ASS....
aside from all of this pointless Greg-bashing (he's a genius, get over it!) have any musicians noticed that they play this in a different key live than on the album(s)? when i play bass to it, it's a step down...
They do that live to the old songs. I think it's to accomodate for Greg's voice and change in singing style. (which you can definitely hear between Suffer and New Maps of Hell- way different singing style although I love both)
these guys are great live. i saw them a couple years ago and they played back to back to back like rapid fire. no bullshitting and preaching in between songs...just straight punk rockin!
he's there fuckin lead singer and is amazing and is also an original member BR and they've gottee pretty damn far with him as a front man so why get rid of him
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
greg was the singer, not the leader. Brett was the leader. Notice (or just my opinion) since the Grey Race, Bad Religion has released albums with just two or three *really* good songs? THats cause Brett is out of the pic. And Greg is the leader of BR. At least, thats my opinion. So, again, in my opinion, fug Greg. Balding little sociopath. :P
Greg wrote a good deal of "Against the Grain" and most of his songs were the stronger ones on that album, granted he didn't write 'anesthesia' but still..If anything they're a team so when a big piece left there would inevitably be a downturn in song quality, but you can't seriously turn your nose up at someone who wrote "God Song", "Against the Grain", "Modern Man", and that's only on that album, I could go on. So in my opinion you're ignorant.
Do you even know what a sociopath is? Greg G. and Jay Bentley are the only two members who have really stuck with BR the whole time. You couldn't be more far off the mark. I think Brett is hugely important to the band but BR wouldn't be BR without Greg. The fact that they made good albums without Brett just sort of goes to show this
This is my favorite Bad Religion song, hands down. I remember listening to Against the Grain when I was playing Silent Hill 2 and this song came on and really added to the atmosphere. It's a great song.
I interpreted this song as something different. I take it that old cliche, if that's what you want to call it, that women would cheat on their husbands with the milk man or the post man and that she got pregnant by him and she sought out to kill him for that reason. I thoguth "all good children go to heaven" meant that she had an abortion or something. The part of "I neve rloved you, how did you find me?" I thought was being stated by the delivery man before she killed him.
There are 2 generally accepted meanings behind this song. One is a contrast between the love of woman and drug addiction (Brett wrote this one, not Gregg). Another is a little far fetched but actually makes sense. Some say its about Charles Manson and the Sharron Tate murder (there are several reasons but one was that a delivery man was killed in her neighborhood just before her murder, also she was murdered when she was pregnant).
hey can anybody tell me, what's the song talking about, i'm from mexico, and i read and speak english very well, also i now the lyrics of this song, but what's this song talking about?, cuz u guys know that bad religion usually talks about things related to amercian culture, as well as they use a lot of metaphore PLEASE!! SOMEBODY REPLY!!!!
Exactly... The line "I never loved you / how did you find me" alone is indicative of the dichotomy of love and hate, not to mention introspection into one's decline displayed within the throes of addiction.
That is, before one is too far gone to have any concern for anything else.
...spot on! That is EXACTly how I always interpreted this song. I personally assumed that he was sort of blaming a prior relationship (maybe ex-girlfriend) for turning him on, "I saw her right there just the other night as stately as a slot machine, But when she looked my way something mad as hell came over me".
Look like fags? Like JustinsaneoO said they dress like dudes you would see on the street....unless you dress like one and are under the illusion that they do.
i like the way hes on Live At The Palladium to give people the illusion he actually plays shows lol, its fair enough and stuff but im always kinda bummed if i go to see BR and hes not there
