I go to George Junior High and for Oral Communications I have to do a project and decided to do it on bullycide and how a law should be passed in Arkansas that will bring criminal charges against those responsible and I'm gonna need a lot of help so if you guys could help me that would be AWESOME!!

A lot of good friends of mine would say things that hurt, still do but i laugh and smile on hiding the pain. Kids would split the halls, and i was used by friends to get through the halls faster. i was called a dyke, freak, gross, gothic and a few names i didn't let myself hear. I'm a senior now getting ready to go out into the world, but my little brother is getting the same treatment. a kid in school pushed him in the bathrrom makeing him pee on himself and they laughed. i hate school.

I know how it feels..I'm being bullied at school and it went all over Facebook and adults who I didn't know insulted me and people who didn't go my school, only 3-4 supported me. My mum saw the bullies on Saturday and told them off, my councillor and teachers are getting involved after I tried to overdose last week. I get chased down the stairs and the teachers told me to stay indoors until it stops, Bullying isn't funny. People with low self esteem are easily brought to suicide...

@cody1800212 If you don't understand something, then how do you know it will never end? Too little information to draw conclusions like that. I do agree though that legislation against bullying will not work, since it is only treating one aspect of a complex problem. One way that may prove beneficial would be to provide confidence and friends to BOTH the bully and the victims, since both suffer aberrant behaviors without these things. The bully loses empathy and the victim suffers depression.

@cody1800212 Not everyone is capable of actually fighting their bullies. Bullies have a tendency to seek out people who are unable or unwilling to fight back - hence bullying being an unfair thing. Some of us do fight their bullies and succeed - I did many times. However, I have seen others who weren't capable. They'd slip into despair, become suicidal and never really say a word to anybody. There are only two ways to endure bullying - confidence and friends - and you need both.

@TheRockHBKfan True. However, a big problem, is the "Zero Tolerance" law. Usually, bullies have buddies ready to back them up, and then the person fighting back is the one who gets in trouble. More intelligent Anti-bullying legislation is in order, to properly stop it.

I'm glad that you're doing a lot better since receiving counseling as well as being homeschooled. I was unable to get homeschooled from back when but endured various forms of bullying especially 'bully by exclusion'. It's as though the other students would feel powerful by keeping people from a group or that they can have someone else who seems less fortunate than them. Bullying came to me in the sixth grade an d then throughout middle school. 8th grade came and i had just enough. So i joined my high schools jv football team. I played Left Outside LInebacker.

I've talked to the principal, councelor, teachers, and they are all started to realize I'm going to take action. 1 day it's name calling, 2nd day it's a fight, the LAST day is.. something else. but the thing is, cyberbullying is NOT as bad as physical bullying, belive me- i have been 'told' to die and the people doing it said everyone would be happier, and they kept doing it, but i ignored them, and then reported them and they got banned and i just created a new account on the site.
