Well...I do host open houses and hold tours of the studio where people can come and try the instruments...But apart from that I guess youd have to book a day...!
Relayer by Yes is an awesome album (in all senses of the word). It was Patrick Moraz`s use of it on that album that first made me aware of the Orchestron. Great to be able to see it working on your video. Thanks for that.
I could happily die in room full of keyboards you have there. I`d give it a couple of hours though.
music is not written by toys or machines but by real people whatever technology is available is rubbish. i knew and worked with depeche mode when they started in crap pubs in essex . it was about ideas not toys they would have been just as good on cheap guitars.
One by one. I started buying keyboards and studio equipment around 1998. Around that time prices were just starting to go up. I have also been very lucky looking for equipment that no one was really interested in like the orchestron and optigan...
Hey, it's finally done. I found the time in the wee hours of the morning To get this Demo out. Frogive the playing as I had to wake up a 3:30 to get this done.
I've actually got one that is a later stereo model the CT 7000 and It's great too. I pick up anything that's weird and those are the ones I keep. I've looked thru your vids and really like the Mellotron tapes you have at your disposal. I think I'll have to go get another one.
Yeah..there are so many great tapes for the Mellotron...Not only the flutes, cello , choirs et.c but so many weird interesting sounds. I really enjoy the sutokomp stuff.. I would love to have marxophone tapes for my Mellotron...
hey i forgot ,i just made a group for the facebook comunity about optigans and orchestrons ,so u can join and share info, buy, sell,or trade discs or spares.the name of the group is the optigoners
i have an orchestron spare disc if ur interested ,its the violin one with nonames on the disc just violin, and for the optgan i have alot of spares but the basic ones,i would like to find a vox humana
I am sorry to hear that you sold your Mellotron...I am probably bringing mine to the other side. The casiotones are so great...so many weird small sounds. I love the cheesy demo songs as well...
The CT 401 is the first one and it's amazing. The little analog drum machine is the best onboard. I'll be putting up a few Vids soon. (Video is my work so I've little time to post vids for fun it's better to make money.) But I'm committed to putting something up here on Youtube to represent the little 401. I would really ike to get my hands on an optical organ.
all of these great instruments are cooped up in eccentric musicians studios. when will us real folk get to touch it?

Great. Great. I love the smell of these old beasts.
I've recently been on a Casiotone kick. I got the CT 401 and the CT7000. I had to sell my mellotron, sad sad day. But I've got too much crap anyway.
Thanks for the vid and keep them coming.
