  • Volvos are the most reliable cars until the late 90s, before their quality started going downhill when Ford bought over Volvo.

  • you can see it really clear @11:25

  • there's a cool story to this car, the rear doors are exactly the same as the sedan version of that time. Volvo was having a hard time getting rid of the sedans and wanted to sell an estate. Though they didn't have the money to design and produce a whole new one. so they used the same rear doors that they had laying around from the sedan. You can still see that the the top of the rear door slopes down while the rest of the car has a strait line :)

  • I own a 89' Volvo 240, one of the best cars ever. I wish you the best in selling it!

  • You seem to find all the gems! Keep up the good work sir!

  • Nathan, greetings from the East Coast. Just wanted to say don't change your style. All the dents/imperfections that you point out helps put sight unseen buyers at ease. I bought my Mercedes sight unseen and got lucky, but not everyone does. If I was in the market for a car and happened to see one I liked, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from you. You are what all used car salesmen should be: honest and upfront. Keep up the great work!

  • @blinkfan305 Thank You its Good to hear I would rather lose money and have to scrap a car than hide flaws and Youtube is a GREAT way to make sure someone can get the exact item the want with No surprises. Make sure and Subscribe i Always try to keep it Interesting with Unique content ans I have so many cars coming up that you may dig with this New lot opening we will have over 300 Classics soon. Cheers Nathan

  • great video

  • Well pleased that you finally got one of these on, I've got a '93 240 in red, one of the very last proper Volvo's before they went over to Ford - sadface ;-(

The good thing is though they just keep going (old Volvo's never die, they just get older!). Servicing is cheap especially as you can do it yourself, high miles don't matter and if you drive sensibly (like fast is an option!) then 30-33mpg is easily done. PLUS it can haul pretty much anything you want within reason.

    Awesome, awesome cars.

  • @CookedSkunk No doubt! Harder to find in 1 & 2 Owner with lower mies cause the drive them so much!.. You have a GREAT car which i am sure you know..;-) the 93 in Red is pretty much the pinnacle top knotch 92-93 are my Fav's when compared to a 240D its sooooo much more Powerful just misses on the Classic look for me But I totally Agree and think this is one of the top 10 cars ever made! Cheers always nice to see & talk to you on here and LOVE getting your Quality input!..;-)

  • We want a Yugo ! :)

  • @igac89 LOL me too...;-) A tad bit Rarer for a clean on in the states..;-)

  • these old Volvos are solid cars but unfortunately, I've found a lot of TMU (True Mileage Unknown) ones on craigslist when I was looking for a first car 4 years ago. I guess its just a common problem. The same with Saabs. My uncle has an '89 900 Turbo and a '96 9000 CS and both of their odometers have stopped working at times and had to be fixed or replaced. The other thing that sucked is that the speedometer broke too and you can imagine how awkward that must be like in traffic..

  • Good old Swedish "tractor" lol. The camera strap plastic thingy is hitting the camera and it's probably causing that annoying scratching sound! :D

  • @autotiiseri Thats what i was thinking I sooo Miss My Nex series Sony.. Will have Camera situation all fixed up here mid Feb cause its not the up to how i want it right now I HATE the sound on it as well.. And the way it does not Auto adjust for low light as fat. THANKK YOU for the input Everyone it helps me make my channel better..;-)

  • another great review Nathan, but what's that joke of a camera his time? The whole video has some super annoying sound and its either overexposed or under, but never the right amount of light. I hope you dump it and continue sgooting with the sony interchangable lens camera you had a while ago (which was overheating and dropping frames, but otherwise great)

  • @atosss lol that one is fried and needs to go back to Costco NOW before my time is up I need to just buy a Nex 5N and add a 7N to the stable when it comes out.. I tweaked the camera a tad and hope that this changes things tomorrow.. The camera i had about 9 weeks ago... May i take a second to reccommend SONY though? I dropped my camera MY FAULT sent it in and they Covered it couldent get the parts and wrote me a check FOR THE FULL AMOUNT!! this is 5th time with laptops and all they ROCK!

  • thumbs up for the old camera.

  • @pspfreak1000 I will have The ggod one back in about 3 Weeks I am just waiting to see if the New model comes out. Best way to get it to come out would be to buy the old model.... new one will come out the next day!..;-)

  • @CerealMarshmallows cool! cant wait!!

  • @pspfreak1000 YES!!!

  • do you ever look for 1-2 owner subarus? those are my favorite

those and oldsmobiles but you have already gotten some of those! xD

  • @crammage I think the only Japanese cars he deals with are Lexus and maybe Infiniti. I don't see why he wouldn't have interest in a good/rare Subaru. The problem is that there really aren't any exceptional Subarus in the US. All the best ones are in Japan or England.

  • @Jallandhara what do you mean not ?! whats not exceptional about a car that can go off roading as much as a jeep cherokee and get 5-15 more mpg with a turbo awd and a locking center diff !?

  • @crammage ALTHOUGH.. I bet he'd be all over a Brat that's in great condition. Those were cool little utes.

  • @Jallandhara I would really like a clean Brat in a HOT color..;-)

  • @crammage Just depends they have to be darn clean and such i have had a few and you will see something like that here. I personally do not like Jap cars in General but there is no disputing they are great cars just not my deal etc.. Like I say when there clean though Im all over them..;-)

  • @CerealMarshmallows can't fathom how you dont like japanese cars , i can see honda and toyota because those are just so common , but subarus have always been a little unique and not as common (unless you live in the mountains )

but if you do find one i would be on it like yellow on cheese

  • @crammage LOL have to be clean and unique and i will fall in love with ANY car I had a Celica... I loved last year one of my favs ever is a Corona wagon I had ANd my all time favorite Jap car was my 200SX roadster (you can see them on my channel) just there are not that many good examples left cause the do not last like aMercedes and the people who own them seem to not take care of them as well and the trade hands ALOT so i se very few i like., Subaru is Not as "Hot" honda etc here but

  • @crammage #2 I usually would prefer the 4x4... Interesting fact 10 years ago in Missoula Montana where i have my main lot. 1 out if 4 cars in the town were Subarus... NO JOKE In the 80's and 90's they sold the heck out of them as the 90's rolled on Explorer Durangos Blazers etc took a bit more dominance and in the 2000's the used ones rolled in etc so im no stranger to subaru and Jallandhara seems to have me pegged cause the BRAT would be My Choice on Subaru's..;-)

  • @CerealMarshmallows what about a subaru xt6? thats as unique and futuristic as it gets

  • @crammage VERY cool you just do not see as many of them here in th USA the next body the SVx which i forgot about is one of My favorite Jap cars really cool! and like I say YUGO, Daihatsi Subaru... Really makes no diff You will see anything that fits 1-3 Owner Rare or Pristine and under 125k I really dont care about the brand I actually just bought a paraglider last month and a Hot air balloon 4 months ago (Videos to come) ....;-)

  • wow!

  • i have a 740 in my garage thats mint two owners no rust and 90,000 miles

  • Nice car Nate! As usual!

  • Wow what a nice car! I would love to have it!
