  • oh my GOD....droooling

  • I only knew this as a techno song...

  • yup sinc is bugging me! dont look just listin real drums.. I dont think its lip sinc like magic is.

  • She (or he) went from looking lovely, with some semblance of "natural", warped in an artfully crafted (err, peroxide) nearly angelic fair-haired-gal, projecting a refined, intelligent and sincere image.... to effectively repelling her fan base in an ill-advised bid to remain "relevant" and current, repackaged in 1980s "material girl" loud-brassy-tackiness .... with a whole lot of ... err ... dyke tossed into the mix .... right? Wow -- what a waste ... a nightmare course in self-debasement.

  • @CarCriticAssessor ...but that doesn't equate her to being a lesbian. as to her career moves in later life, i think they were a bit unnatural to her ersonallity, she was muxh more, introspective, home body type, girl next door to me, to be in a sexual sire image. but looking back on it today..it was rather tame..just not her persona, and maybe that's why it was a shock. but be honest..her career would have really ended by 1977 or 1979 because the music seen of the 1970's was sying out.

  • I wish we were back in this time...such a beautiful, pure voice singing a beautiful voice...luv u Olivia!

  • first heard this song in the car on vacation going to Florida.Been in love withit and her ever since. She is to only other woman in my life that my wife allows me to give roses.I see her in concert every time she is in the midwest .Long live Olivia

  • Good Dance Dance Revolution times...

  • Ms. O.N.J would never make her superficiial ego feel better about itself by bashing different eras and their music. Think about it.

  • これはいいね。

    口と音が合ってないのが残念だけど。

    彼がこの曲を作ってくれました。

    He made this song .

    そよ風の誘惑

  • this song is about quaaludes and sex

  • How I wanted to be one of her musicians - just to have the privilege to be on stage with her.

  • way outta synch music/video seems the video is ahead of the sound..

  • How many of today's "singers" can own the stage like that? Just her and the audience . . . just don't see that anymore. Miss those times Ms Newton-John, you think maybe a tour??

  • What a wonderful voice--and beauty beyond description.

  • I am listening and I am weeping and i don;t know why

  • they're playing too fast, on this live cut.

  • i love her singing..this was in the day you had to drag the microphone cord around, lol

  • how can you beat that? pure voice, pure music.

  • Why is the Japanese translation * Temptation of a breeze* ??

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing, but this video does not match this song. Don't know what she is singing in the video but it is totally out of sync with the song.

  • @jafo074 the video is not in sync, but she's singing the correct song.

  • The original title of this song was called "Lick my Love Pump"

  • ❿ / ❿★★★★★★★★★★

  • great song. Olivia has a wonderful voice. I would definitely see her in concert.

  • 昨日、知人が、そよ風の誘惑を

    五反田ライブで熱唱しました。

    Xanaduの日本公演も、昨年見ました。

    Oliviaは、永遠です!

My friend sung"Have you never been mellow?" at Gotanda Indian Curry House

yesterday. I enjoyed XANADU Musical performance last year.

Olivia is superb and eternal superstar!

  • ゲームセンターでバイトをしていた二十歳のころ、ダンスダンスレボリューションというゲーム機で初めてこの歌を聴いて以来、耳から離れなくなりました。

  • @nobu793 黄色は決して行きましたか。

  • Incredible artist!! One of the best ever!!

  • she has such a clear beautiful voice.

  • Love Olivia

  • The most subtle song of ONJ for a busy person......

  • Amazing!

    xoxo

    The Clarences

  • muy buena voz y la canción bella

  • Who did write this song ? The very fact that it hit no 1 on the american billboard charts points to the fact that a lot of people did like it.

  • John Farrar

  • Thankyou kindly. It bugs me that the writers of songs very often don't get any recognition for their effort. Without them the songs would never have been at all.

  • My Very Favorite Olivia song ever.

  • mami mami mami !!

  • bella

  • Olivia so pure so beautiful. The voice whew! solid rendition.

  • I could care less if the the artist wrote their own songs. I just wish they could actually SING! Which most of them CAN"T. Elvis never wrote his own material and he did better than alright!!!

  • @KarmicOmen -- Actually a lot of contemporary female performers write their own music, a higher percentage than in the past. Examples: Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Pink, Lady Gaga, Sheryl Crow, Britney Spears, Jennifer Nettles, Kelly Clarkson and more.

  • you forgot madonna!

  • I was about 12 when this came out, absolutely adored it.

  • how can this kind of music be reborn nowadays...this is the epitome of music...songs from 1940 up to1990s are really good even rock bands i love their songs...what happened today...purely they are jaz noise...whew!

  • Hehehehe Earl Joh I know she is crap live

  • Thanx 4 posting this video. It brings back many memories...

  • What? No lip synch? LOL

  • How come they took her off the television(Olivia) and they put these other divas on that can't sing. What's wrong with VH1 and MTV.That's a shame.

  • so much memories

  • Amazing singer and WOW an actual LIVE performance..remember those??? She is simply wonderful!!

  • LOL! Remember when a female singer actually wrote her own songs? Nowadays that seems a foreign concept.

  • 'Old' is reative. It is like an horizon that continues to fade every time you approach it. Olivia is actually young. It is only you who haven't experienced much life yet....

  • i didn't know she was so old

  • She sure was a fox.

  • i have seen olivia three times in concert. she is wonderful.

  • I saw her in Adelaide. Fantastic. Her voice is still good, it has mellowed, but also improved because life has given her voice experience.

  • This is obviously not a lip sync issue... it is an audio video sync issue, whether it could be fixed or not depends on the state of the original film and or tape.

Love the song and the video, I wish I was in Japan for this show... thanks!

  • Great song but the worst lip sync job EVER!

  • Listen ONJ's song can really make us mellow out. Great songs.

  • I believe the meaning of this song must have changed for ONJ over the decades that she has sung it. Watch her eyes..

  • この方の歌声は魅力的すぎますね。

  • I love this song...BUT is she asking him to relax or what?? please explain the meaning of the song....

  • The song is about a woman saying "slow down and relax, I am a modern woman, I can look after you too, it doesn't have to be you looking after me all the time, just because you're the man'...

    Hope that helps.

  • it did......thanks!!!

  • I think she is asking her lover to relax and just be happy in the moment, let someone else be in charge. this moment wont last and soon will be gone forever, so, as they say in the 1970's, "let it be mellow". :) Enjoy!!!

  • lol

  • Beautiful Song!!!

  • I hope one of those stars gets a higher quality recording than we have and sends it back to us before I die.

  • These TV shows are just about reaching the inhabited planets of the stars. I envy them find out about Olivia for the first time!

  • Beautiful lady. Beautiful voice. Lovely song.

  • Some people are out there in space, and can not appreciate music from the heart, get off my line you idiots and stand back and let good people step on you, you cock roach..

  • she is so sweet and this is a lovely song.

  • I was drunk when I watched it so I liked it

  • You must be my mailman. My mail is always in wrong box !

  • Its unbelievable how nasty people can get over a song, and we wonder why the world will most likely never have peace.

  • have you ever been yellow?

  • In 1975, Olivia Newton John proved to be up to the monumental challenge of taking on the "Big Boys" of Pop music. Many of the world's greatest musicians were in their prime. Acts like the Carpenters, Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Elton John and Barry Manilow, to name a few. Despite the competition, Olivia Newton John still managed to record one of the greatest hits of all time in "Have You Never Been Mellow." The song became a key factor in making "1975" the greatest year ever in Pop Music history.

  • 1975 the greatest year ever in pop music history... what kind of drugs are you taking!? your doctor must be higher than you when he subscribe your dose...

  • Ok, let me guess, you're probably from the Woodstock era, and one who has been fried for the past three decades from all the Angel dust and LSD you took. You probably have a balding hairline, but you still refuse to cut the same ponytail you wore in the late 60s. You're the type of person who supported Obama, because you're an anti War radical who supports Bill Ayers's dangerous anti-American views. And you miss the psychedelic music of Hendrix, Morrison, and Joplin.

    Does that sound like you?

  • your dr must be on drugs if he SUBSCRIBES drugs to you lmfao LOSERRRRRRR if you are going to try to put someone down try to use the correct words so you dont end up looking like a complete asshole.. TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO IS HATEDDD ON YOUTUBE FOR MAKING PEOPLE LOOK LIKE ASSHOLES

  • Her "lipsync" isn't following the music !!

  • That's a real live performance but the soundtrack sync is off.

  • The most beautiful, greatest singer ever!

  • I love ONJ since I can remember before I knew ogf the Beatles

  • This is kinda creepy, I found A different version of this song on a random anime vid, which lied me to this, And I actually sang this in choir!

  • lolz thats the same way i found it! I heard the remix with an anime vid ^3^

  • esa musica fresa como le dicen o la llamaban , realmente , te hace sentir cosas agradables !!

  • I'm in memories.

    makes me cry....

  • Thanks for this - brill stuff! First time I have heard it, she is perfection!

  • SHE IS JUST A SEXY FOX

  • when i was in the 3rd grade i heard this song in the cafeteria of the school i went to. i fell in love with her soothing voice like an angel .

  • Who is the drummer for this song on the CD version? It sounds a lot like Mick Fleetwood. I keep telling people the drums on the original version of this are phenomenal. Lots of great fills. People look at me funny but if you listen to it, you may here what I am saying.

  • Good ear, man. It's a very LA studio sound. Just listening I would say it does feel alot like Mick (who I think is great also), however it might be and I say might be the late, great John Guerin (Joni Mitchell, Ketih Carradine, LA Express). Some kicks and fills sound exactly like John John and when they pan to the drummer it looks a little like him and definitely playing a Pearl kit (which he endorsed). John played with many major names on the road and in the studio. My vids at booksdates.

  • I totally agree with you. I believe one of Olivia's session drummers was Mike Botts - the drummer for the group Bread. He played on her "Totally Hot" CD that came out in 1978.

  • is a very nice song and beauty woman i love you olivia¡¡¡

  • I grew up listening to music like this, I love it.

  • i hated this song in high school but now appreciate its a great song.

  • i remember this song was playin when i broke in this kids house and drank his beer collection and then broke eggs and put them in all thier shoe,s , he got ass whipped , i didnt like him anyways

  • the disc version of this great song was recorded at Abbey Road and was arranged by John Fiddy who played bass and arranged Alvin Stardust's hits...the backing girls on the original were Vicki Brown, Pat Farrar and Clare Torry.

The engineer was Tony Clark ...1975 !!

  • 透き通るような美しい声だ素晴らしいです
