There's something very unique about violists... Every viola section I've ever been in has been very family-like and includes fun loving, mutually helpful, non-competitive, relaxed, musical people... Because it's the alto instrument and we play a lot of harmony, you have to be a certain type of person to like that and we always get along really well. So, pick viola because it's awesome, and pick viola because the people are great... :)
I play viola at school For some reason its like....3 days of practice first days of Orchestra and then its like....we go to the orchestra for the school
im in orchestra in my school , and we have to choose a instrument for it by september 3rd, im thinking viola because violin like 20 ppl want to play, but viola sounds cooler! we might get it this weekend, so i can bring on monday, so i get my instrument before anyone else so i dont end up playing the chello or the bass, i need somthing that can fit in a small space at home XD
RIGHT ON!!!! im in 7th grade and ive been playing for 2 years now XD i love it! the only thing i dont love about it is that we have to carry it back and forther(sp? =O)

I was ripped off when i bought my viola.
The inlaid part turned out to be painted on, and because of that, it did not sound good

that sucks, mine was $800.00 because it was made in romania, handmade too, because of thats its not shiny, just really dull
