  • BokCimerman iRomantici sviđa mi se(216)

  • @TjipzPK Billy 1

  • @lyledalton appreciated

  • @TjipzPK

    /watch?v=cIcNkJfChqc

  • Does anyone no the song at 0:45 it goes " la la la la la la la la"

  • @DrTHENgr1mReap Its called Billy Surrender

  • @DrTHENgr1mReap

sorry mate, I couldn't find it, when I was looking for it either :/ I've even checked bobdylan.com :(

  • @boldog97 /music/pat-garrett-billy-kid

  • Stumbled across a new film coming out soon that is supposedly a "true telling" of how Billy became, well, The Legend!! - at least it is written by an historian... so probably a bit more truth than Young Guns ;p Found it on facebook so just uploaded the trailer to youtube /watch?v=j4Ks1vQPaAE

  • Pat Garrett was my great great great great great great grandpa.

  • @EandNfilms Your grand pappy killed my great great great great great great uncle >:(

  • minute 2:11 is the BEST !!

  • Everyone else rolls into the scene with their best line- and then Bob stumbles onto the scene with... "Plums." Way to put your best foot forward, Bob.

  • 1:12 billy fucking traitor!!!! I´ll see you in hell !!!! LOL

  • I liked Young Guns, Yeah I can't see Kris as Billy nor Coburn as Garrett. Not sure if I would like this at all.

  • PG:what's your name boy?

    BD:Alias.

    PG:Alias what?

    BD: Alias anything you please

  • "Knockin On Heaven's Door" was a classic of course on this album/movie, but there are a couple of really good acoustic stuff too, along with the different "Billy Theme" songs. May in 1973 is when the movie opened, the album came out in July of the same movie.

  • billy!!!

    last outlaw!!!

  • Comment removed

  • PG& BTK was good. The Wild Bunch was Better. But Sam Peckinpahs Salad days was the absolute BEST!! (Look it up and see what I mean!)

  • This is back when they didn't give a f@@K about ' horses. ha ha

  • @aubreyholman LOLLLL You see a lot of older movies like that when the horses unfortunately don't get a stunt double. But I guess they were luckier than the chicken's buried in the dirt for very accurate target practice in the movie. (I had forgotten about that - and I still want to forget)

  • apparently I'm related to this pat garret, guess I should see the movie :P

  • @ozaffer77 Yeah my better half is related to Billy we think, that's how we got interested in this.

  • I love these old trailers. Thanks for posting.

  • Was there any Western character actor NOT in this film ?..It had Jack Elam, R.G. Armstrong, Richard Jaeckel, Matt Clark, Slim Pickens, Chill Wills, Harry Dean Stanton, Bruce Dern and the late great Dub Taylor..

  • what's the name of 2nd song?

  • @gek1x

It's called Billy Surrenders, from a bootleg called Peco's Blues, and is almost impossible to find the movie version.

  • awsome film, saw it yesterday also nice soundtracks !!

  • @RichardElden I hope you do assface.

  • @RichardElden I thought this was a great movie. I don't get all the negative shit about it.

  • This film just gets better and better. James Colburn is Pat Garrett. Kris Kristofferson is Billy the Kid- yeah, way too old, way too healthy- don't worry about it, it, this is art, not historical reality. Dylan's score is up there with Morricone (the Sergio Leone Movies) and Elmer Bernstein (The Magnifecnt 7). This film now makes my top five Western Movie list- and that is a tough nut to crack.

  • I for one really liked this movie. It was slow but built a lot of atmosphere. And if I want to be told an accurate historical account, I'll watch a documentary or read a book, not watch a film. Who cares if it's inaccurate.

  • Funny that in real life Pat Garett was 31 at the time he killed Billy The Kid who was only 21 and there is no history that they were ever friends at all.

  • This is a truly great film Sam Pechinpaw is a great director

  • "Ehem plums" Nice. That's Bob Dylan's only lines in the trailer HAHAHA

  • it was 1973, not '76...

  • you do know he only killed 8 men in his life

  • Klasse!!!!!!!!

  • Awsome trailer!

  • What the hell? So doors just collapses when you fall on them? Hahaha!

  • people are probably right about kristofferson being too old to play billy, but let's face it, billy looked pretty rough for a "kid" and the average life expectancy in those days was about 40, so i don't think it's that big a deal. besides peckinpah wasnt making a documentary about pat garrett and billy the kid, he was making a documentary about himself and modern times. i think when we look around at so much of the retarded culture on this site, we see peckinpah's cynicism was well-placed.

  • Awful movie. Kristofferson was far too old to play Billy and couldn't act worth a damn.

  • Yay, Bob Dylan!

  • i love peckinpah but this one was a real slog

  • im sorry but pat didnt kill billy the kid he killed billy's friend and passed the body off as of it was "billy" and billy later turned himself in, in more modern times, or at least thats what a 90year old man claimed he was billy. so you fools might wanna do more research about "billy the kid"

  • @shitsweak89

That guy who "turned himself in" couldn't speak Spanish, it was well established that Billy could. I think you wanna do more research buddy.

  • @Xilosmien oh i guess you would know that cause you were there when he wasent "speaking spanish" your such a fail.

  • @shitsweak89 Actually i was.

Very well I'll do your research for you: Google "solarnavigator billy the kid" first link

The find it funny that this idiot's claim could fool you, no evidence at all and he was claiming to be a person whose death, bounty and burial were well documented at that time in history. Now thank you and piss right off.

  • IAM PRETTY SURE BILLY IS FUCKING LEFT HANDED, RIGHT?

MAY BE THAT WAS WHY HE HAD ADVANTAGE ABOUT THE FASTER SPEED IN SHOOTING.

  • he dont even look like billy the kid and jamiejo2005 can you send me a pic pweez

  • whats the name of bob dylan song in the backround ?

  • Kristofferson was far too old to play Billy the Kid and couldn't act worth a damn.

  • Recording star Bob Dylan? How about the most influential person of the century Bob Dylan?

  • I think that was Lenin.

  • @JuanMacready Phew!

  • Kristofferson was BADLY miscast.

  • As usual Hollywood screws up a good story. Too bad Peckinhead didn't do any research on the subject matter for this movie. Even Bob Dylan would have made a better Billy the Kid than the tall and boring Kristofferson. But at least the music was alright.

  • I can understand how some people think it's a bit slow. But by the end, you realize the tense narrative that was being created. I enjoyed it.

  • This film doesn't attempt to do an accurate historical reconstruction. I believe it's a very lyrical vision about the end of the old west. And, like many other Peckinpah films, a study about violence. The real Kid was much younger and shorter than Kristofferson, but that's irrelevant I think.

  • Aside from being FAR too old for the part, Kristofferson also couldn't act for shit and had a horrid monotone voice fried by too many cigarettes and drowned in too much whisky.

  • He was FAR too old for the part and couldn't act a lick.

  • @PeterFirthFan You can keep the change, Asshole. It's easy for you to get on Youtube and talk shit. I would like for you to even ATTEMPT to try to make such a great film or perform a leading role(especially with the likes of Peckinpah). Now STFU and show some respect boy.

  • @666reasons2killU This film is a piece of fucking CRAP.

I hope Kristofferson dies of cancer soon.

  • @PeterFirthFan who? Kris or Coburn? Kris was way too old for the roll of Billy the Kid but i still thought he did a great job. and i love James Coburn, especially in "Duck, You Sucker." in my opinion the only person in this movie who couldn't was Bob Dylan, but i love the scene where he had to read the cans hahaha.

  • @PeterFirthFan i'll put some rape on you if say something about dylan

  • Kris was too old to play Billy the Kid.

  • i agree,i bought the movie weeks ago and i hated it..alot.quite boring, senseless and an insult to the real Billy The Kid

  • how can the trailer be from 1976 if the movie came out 1973?

  • It was stupid casting the talentless wooden 37-year-old Kristofferson as 21-year-old Billy, his voice fried by too many cigarettes and drowned in too much whisky.

    Totally crap movie.

  • an account from a local man states that Pat Garrett hid behind Pete Maxwell's bed and blasted Billy with a shotgun. this may stand to reason that they didn't allow anyone to see his body and buried him so quickly. Also, it raises the question that he may have killed Billy Barlow or someone else.

  • In The Left-Handed Gun (1957), Paul Newman portrays a more youthful, riotous Billy The Kid. However, historical records veify that this film is closer to the truth. Of course, this is my favorite Billy The Kid film. But, I will admit that the Young Guns films are the closest to the truth, so far.

  • these really were hard times. i think people aged faster and Kris was not too old. example: Pat garrett was born in 1850. does James Coburn look 31?

  • "badly made piece of crap"? anyone can see from the trailer alone what i mean by tasteless cocksucker

  • lol funny

  • this was actually pretty good to me idk why people dont like it, its pretty good so is young guns both showed good billy the kid movies in my view

  • Kris Kristofferson was FAR too old to play Billy the Kid.

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • No, because it's CRAP.

  • fuck you, tasteless cocksucker

  • This film was a badly made piece of crap and Kris Kristofferson was FAR too old to play Billy.

  • if you can do better, we'd like to see it.

  • I thought the 1957 version with Paul Newman was better. Although Newman was 32 he did look younger, unlike Kris.

  • fuck yes, it's worth buying. i preordered special edition from amazon. it's better than it looks. also, subscribe to me and I'll upload restored version, after i remove watermark.

  • I actually liked this one better then "young guns." The characters in this film seemed more hip and cool.

  • I love this film. Very dark and sinister.

  • Pat Garret is a COWARD!

  • Kris Kristofferson was far too old to play Billy.

  • oh shit!! i didnt know it was Kris, anywho ur right.i hate when movies are not accurate

  • I don't know why they didn't cast someone closer to the right age.

  • was this movie any good?

  • Very good!!! If you haven't seen it I highly suggest it.

  • Us old boys aughtnt to be doin this to each other, aint that many of us left one of the very best lines in cowboy movies ever, from perhaps the every best Western ever made. Dylan not only wrote this classic anthem for this movie, but many others as well and appears in it as a cowboy named Alias.

This is a great movie and perhaps the best western ever.

  • screw pat garret, friggen pussy

  • great movie, gets better with every passing year. classic. R.I.P Sam.

  • Noone knows if Billy the kid every really died from pat he could've let him go, but it even says in young guns 2 it was discredited

  • Worst, mis-cast western of all time. Kris Kristopherson can't pull this off. Billy the Kid was only 21. Very small kid, and skinny. Not a tough guy like plays in this movie. In fact, historically, Billy was unheard of in his day. Only years later when pat garrett wrote an old west book, did Billy the Kid's name become known.

  • History nerds need not apply...it's a movie.Judge it on its own terms...as a movie.

  • "History nerds" ?? Having knowledge does not make one a "nerd." Perhaps your lack of knowledge and people like you are the reason people belieive movies are real. Guess what ? Homer Simpson isn't real either. He's actually a cartoon!

This movie is still crap. Bad lines. Bad acting. Bad characters. - That is judging it on its own terms.

  • young guns was pretty good. I never seen this though. Do you like young guns? the first one was really factual besides that billy wasnt very good looking in real life. And the second is pretty factual besides the old guy.

  • Young Guns was more realistic in terms of history. But i've never really seen a "Billy the Kid' movie that was acurate. Billy the Kid was totally unknown until years after his death when a book was written about him. And that was an attempt to cash in on old west notoriety. But this movie is so out of wack it's not funny. Kris K is way to old, too big, to play the part. Billy the kid was a homely, skinny little guy, who if you met him, you wouldn't be afraid of him.

  • actually, the old guy wa real.

he wasnt billy the kid, that was pretty much obvious, but he did claim to be billy, and came to meet a lawyer about the pardon, just as in the movie.

the guy who told him to come forward, and one of his main witnesses, claimed to be another of the old west's outlaws who was dead, but i dont remember who that was.

it was all bullshit, but the movie never tells you that he was really the kid, does it?

so, apart from being hollywood smush, its pretty true

  • Its about billy the kid, therefore it should go with the actual story

  • @lonnie727 you mean the story that no one knows the truth about?

  • @5cud6uddy No I mean the lie that Bill ROberts made. its just like Anastasia the girl wasnt really her. But we dont have DNA evidence to prove he was a fraud so I guess we can give him a little benifit of the doubt.

  • @5cud6uddy No I mean the lie that Bill ROberts made. its just like Anastasia the girl wasnt really her. But we dont have DNA evidence to prove he was a fraud so I guess we can give him a little benifit of the doubt.

  • The best !

  • 1.40 min. what is that song?

  • The song is either Billy 1,2, or 3. Dylan did the soundtrack for the film and the song appears on the soundtrack to the film. Knockin on Heaven's Door also came from this album.

  • Isn´t this actor a little to old for the role of a 21 year old man?XD

    (sry for my bad english)

  • To fito65 : Re: Billy crossed the border into Mexico.

Too bad he didn't cross the Canadian border. Because the title of that movie would be, "The day the RCMP got Billy the Kid!"

  • Bob Dylan's acting in this reminds me of Pee Wee's Big Adventure. When James Brolin played Pee Wee in the "Pee Wee Herman Story" and Pee Wee played a hotel desk clerk.

  • You guys crack me up ! Dickwood ? Come on now, who really cares about the numbers. He was a heartless killer, isn't that enough facts for you ? No need to get nasty.

  • Comment removed

  • Billy crossed several times border to Mexico, he was in Chihuahua, Juarez and Sonora playing poker, and had very good friends in Mexico.

  • His Parents were Irish, His Real name was Henry MaCarthy born in New York ..

  • Comment removed

  • really, to say that Pat Garret was 'the biggest outlaw, so they turned him a sheriff' is untrue and such a disrespect to garret's memory

  • Garret was a coward.

  • hey you guy my liife i was trying to find out my past familey i sweare to god my great graet uncle is pat garrett i am riley garrett

  • i love this movie Kris K fine looking man

  • @jamiejo2005 UPLOAD SOME PLEASE!!!!

  • I'm related to him my great great grandparents were his adotive parents

  • R.I.P. BILLY...YOU ARE THE BEST!

  • Happy belated 149th birthday Billy the Kid!

  • billy the kid did to kill 21 people. but we need to quit justifying him. yes the lincoln county war is justified. but everything else he did afterwords was just stealing and murdering. but what he did in the lincoln county war was noble.

  • He didn't kill 21 men, he killed 4.

    That's a myth.

  • billy the kid killed 1 man for every year of his life and they say he died at 21 so he killed 21 men

  • that's a myth, stupid.

  • no its not...its no myth to that...how you figure your right and im wrong

  • no, you're wrong. look it up. it's a fact.

    now fuck off.

  • yea thats just a myth

  • he killed a man wean he was a baby ya right LOL

  • i just wanna know if pat garrett killed billy the kid in this movie???anybody???

  • Yes, he does and he remembers it in the last moment of his life. Not quite clear in 2005 Special Edition, but very clear in 1988 Preview Version.

  • rip Billy

  • Billy the Kid never killed 21 people. People just made false stories about him. He really wasnt as bad as everyone says.

  • This was on MGMHD, I dvred it and watched it tonight. What a great cast in this film. Fantastic!

  • billy the kid is my cousin

  • Yginio Salazar, the youngest regulator is my great great great great grandfather. When Billy escaped from jail, he went to Yginio's house and he fed him and cut off his shackles. On his gravestone it says "Pal of Billy the Kid".

  • okey

  • I actually might be related to him.

  • " *ahem* PLUMS "

  • i think young guns is better !

  • does anyone know the name of the song that starts at 46 seconds?

  • dno

  • If you find name of that song please reply

  • its river theme from bob dylan.

    its 5. soundtrack.

    hope i helped

  • Incidentally, Billy was played by Kris Kristofferson.

  • he killed 4 at most 5 men.lol

  • he killed 21 men!! fact!!

  • no that isn't a fact!! probably he maximal killed 9 people 4 people are fact!!

  • hey, does anyone know where I can watch this movie online?

  • No. but this film worth to be bought

  • did you ever find it? i'd like to watch that myself. thanks

  • I got it on dvd, but have NO idea how to upload it to youtube. Any ideas?

  • And introducing in his first dramatic picture performance.."Ahem, Plums".

  • plumbs! not plums! idiot

  • The film completely leaves out the Lincoln County War and the why's and how's of Billy the Kid. The movie is mainly about Pat Garrett hunting down the cold-blooded Billy the Kid after his escape from the courthouse in Lincoln, and in this movie the Kid is so unlikable that you're not sorry to see him get killed in the end. The only thing I found amusing in this whole movie was Bob Dylan's character.

  • Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid This one seems to be a popular one for the older generation, but for me, I didn't like it at all. Not only does it have another unattractive middle age man playing the teenage outlaw, but the movie begins with the capture of Billy the Kid at Stinking Springs.

  • it begins at the point of one friend's betrayal of the other

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!! billy the kid was my ansester scary i found out on that family tree thing

  • really? wow awesome
