  • Lessons with Roger were awesome!! He taught much more than drums!! Many life lessons learnt from that man!

  • I knew roger for many years a happy and warm man who was loved and respected by all who knew him he will be sadly missed and for this tribute to be on here for him is a nice touch,G B U ROGER A GENTLEMAN OF GENTLE MEN RIP MY FRIEND.

  • Excellent work, you certainly put a lot of feelings inside.

  • Rogers daughter Nicola doesn't have a youtube account and asked me to post the following message on her behalf.

"I would like to say a huge thank you for that touching tribute to my Dad. He would have been so proud. Thank you so much x"

  • Hi liamcafs, could you please tell Nicola how much I appreciate her kind words, and that her Dad will always be one of my drumming hero's. Thank you.

  • Roger was a great guy with an infectiously enthusiastic personality. He taught me everything I know about drumming. Unfortunately I am a dreadful drummer but we did our best and had a lot of fun :D

  • I first met Roger when I was about 10 years old having lessons in school, 9 years on and stil loving drumming. I stopped having lessons about 2 years ago and regret it greatly. Roge taught me and every pupil everything they needed to know about drumming. With Roge you spent about half the lesson learning rhythms etc and the rest of the lesson talking. But everyone loved of his lessons, with his almost too laid back way of life. Roge had a big impact on everyone and will be missed greatly Xx

  • i got taught my roger. i enjoyed his lessons alot and he did teach me all i needed to know. r.i.p roger. miss you ! x

  • i totally agree with you about people being blinded by the type of music they want to play. i am too, but at least i recognise there are other types of music. great stuff, though sometimes the cowbell and bell next to your splash seemed a bit out of place. can i ask what crash, ride and china you're using on the far right please? they sound great, and i need some new stuff :P also, sorry about your teacher. he'd be proud.

  • great bit of drumming

  • wow i have to say well done im of roger's ex stuidents he tought me for a year and a half and i have been playing for a year and a half

  • Thanks very much Samuel, very cool to see a student of Rogers post on here. You should put your own tribute to him on here too!!

  • Im sure any video you put of your playing will be great, and will show what you learnt from him, I know Id like to see it,

besides it's not all about the flashy stuff,

    its about the groove/feel.

  • dan that was epic, when it got to the 6th minute i thought my balls were going to implode. ps hows the dvd going

  • That was increible, you are seriously talented. All the techniques you use and you make it look so easy!! DAN ROCKS!!!!! :)
