-from the Southeastern states of the USA, the english slang capital

  • you should of included slang from other parts of the country other than fuckin london or somewhere south.

we have very different slang here in Yorkshire, and i feel this educational video is incomplete and illpreparing to those who you hope to prepare.

    still, very adorable.

  • Your Japanese is really good. I'm usually quite cynical about these videos but well done.

I try to wright Japanese with KANJI,

    for your study,

Good for you & Lave & peace.

  • Ur video is well sick innit!! xD

  • Your Japanese is pretty good. Your pronunciation is natural. Occasional grammatical errors were very minor and did not prevent for me to understand what you meant. In fact, your Japanese is better than many high school students who are taking Japanese class here in Silicon Valley.

  • Being from Australia, I've never actually heard much of these. Some I have heard from shows like Skins and Misfit, but others just threw me, like 'blud'. WTF is that?

  • ii wonder if the slang here in california/US is different from the one in england lol i kinda dont use slang much XD

  • I'm from Canada, and the only one I think we use here is 'sick' so this was interesting for me too :D and i love your channel~

  • Haha that was funny XD you should try American slang and confuse the poor things more! XD

(Here's hoping that I can add that suffix to that verb.)

  • i live in texas. this was...rather educational. love you grace, keep making videos!

  • i guess it depends where u live, people use these words a lot around London (u will hear them EVERYWHEREE!)

    there are new ones like:

    wag1 = yo/whats up

    snm = say no more

    kmt = kiss my teeth

don = gangster (your a don!)

    g = thats g (thats gangster)

    safe = thanks

    and many more ^^

Thank you so much!! I love you so much!!"" hugs""

  • well im from england, and i don't use any of these words!! mainly because the slang differs alot depending on where you are in england. for example im from liverpool, and people here would be like "what the hell?" if someone started saying those words haha ;) bit posh those words are! ;)

  • When my friends and I use slang in America, we are usually making fun of those who use slang. We don't use it much either lol.

  • I think you should do both, make videos for both viewers. Just a suggestion xD but I know that sometimes people run out of ideas or things to talk about so then they get all ' what should I make videos about?' and then they eventually stop. And I'm enjoying yours a little too much. After two years of serious study and now ( a year later and forgotten mostly everything) I was half assing it, now I'm not. You're inspiring ;x

  • Canadian here! c: learning experience!~

  • You deserve to go to Japan more the Beckii Cruel or Magibon ever will. 'Sided, you know more Japanese than they do anyway. lol

  • Very cool~! Ya know I guess it depends on what country you're in because I'm watching it like "What the heck I've never used any of these." Then as soon as you were like "this one is kind of wierd...." then said "sick" I started cracking up because thats what everyone uses over here~!!! That's sick. :) and that's trippy :)

  • Very interesting. The only slangs that everyone uses in New York is "Sick" Sometimes I say the word "Bloody Hell" because I find it cute. I'm so weird.

  • Ryuzaki... for someone who is learning all alone you sure speak Japanese very well (as far as i´m concerned). I hope i can speak Japanese like you in 3 years time and i have a teacher lol. Kiss from Portugal, be safe, don´t do drugs, get crazy, have fun and OMG you are simply gorgeous. Bye from "shitty" Portugal... Lived in Manchester for 1 year, it´s ok there but you are right... it sucks! :) Keep posting to teach Japanese ok... help out this guy eheheh

  • very different from american slang

  • lmao the only one i recognized was bloddy hell cuz of harry potter XD english slang is certainly different from american slang XD english has a lotta different dialects so theres a lotta different slang terms XD

  • What is chav? lol

  • This is One WickedSick Fedesh Son ^^

  • Comment removed

  • Ahh this slang makes me laugh xD I never use any of it. I was suprised when some chav person told me my drawings were 'sick' I had to ask someone if that meant good or not xD oh us englishers have cool slang words

  • thanks for the british slang!

  • I'm American studying Japanese. I love Japanese slang! Well, I love all of the Japanese language ^^ Thanks for making videos! It is good practice for my Japanese and your English slang words are very interesting! ^^

  • wow, I haven't heard anyone use 'innit' in forever lol

  • oh and i think you got alot of viewers that arent from uk, not only from japan, im from israel for example , anyhow british slag is quite awesome.

  • @sahar123321 heey same here, I'm from Hungary, and I love your videos Graaaace~~ :3

  • Make a video of how to get in touch with young japanese people, for people that still cant speak japanese ^W^

  • WHATTTTTTTTTTT?????????????????? IS THIS.....

i am 22 been living in america all my life.. and i never heard any of these.. and there is so much English slang..

you should of showed them.. Whats good? or sike. or something like real talk.. haha i don't know.. English really has like 10000+ slang words.. but i never heard any of what you said.. but i have heard whats up blood.. never seen it and crips say whats up cuhz :D haha

  • I'm from aus and I dont understand some of the slang you use haha

I understood most though due to british tv :P

  • Did you re-dye your hair? I thought you look great with lighter hair, still cute as always though:)

  • I'm from Asia so I am slightly familiar with American slangs from all those exposures from Hollywood movies and stuff but British slangs is a new world to me. Thank you for this video! It's really interesting to see how each area have their own unique slangs. ^0^

  • The new chocolate brown hair REALLY brings out your eyes. So beautiful! And I love your videos! :D

  • hahaha i love your british slangs :) (I learned them too cuz I'm from Canada lolz and no one use them)

  • I don't mean to sound....creeper-ish, but may I just say, you are really friggin' cute?

  • at first i was like.."innit? i thought she was going to teach english.." you did but not american english so i learned alot too:D

  • In Cali instead of buzzin we use the word juice, like " I'm so juice for that concert"

  • I'm from America, so this was a learning experience for me too... we never use any of these terms xD

  • @nintend0fr33k You don't use 'sick' in America?

  • @Gergerpatpat I`m American, I can`t remember anyone I know using `sick` but I knew the slang meaning so it may be used. `Sick` has the same meaning as `dope` but I think `dope` has fallen out of fashion.

The other ones aren`t used in the US though. `Are you taking the piss?` or `Are you taking a Mickey?` isn`t used in the States, either. It has just about the same as `Are you (bull)shitting me?` or `Are you yanking my chain?`

  • @Gergerpatpat Not much anymore, though I've used it. It's the same with 'ill' or 'gnarly'... we just don't really use it much. (at least my friends and I don't) ^^

  • @nintend0fr33k seriously i was watching thinking that i would know the terms she was going to use to find out that we really don't use any of those besides maybe "sick" . Great vid !

  • @nintend0fr33k

Yes we do, skaters and surfers use "sick". I use it lol

  • @Chidori457 I haven't heard it in a long time, but I'm from New Hampshire, so not many surfers or skaters here. xD

The city was buzzing on Saturday night。

  • English people talk so funny o_O

But I'm American so you probably think I talk funny, as well xD

    You're hair looks good =)

  • hahah this was educational for me! Lol

  • As far as I'm aware 'blud' = blood = family/like family/close friends. It's also mainly used by specific groups of people/teens. Safe is more like 大丈夫 「daijoubu」 in my opinion - if you compare it to awesome, cool etc then it could be easily used out of context. "Woah! This view is safe" instead of "Woah! This view is awesome!" Safe doesn't sound right in that context XD

  • no dude. . .blud is spelled blood. . .and it is a gang thing. . .you know the bloods and the crips. . .red vs blue. . .people do use it but it is mainly a gang thing

  • @satou1304 She doesn't live in the States, so it doesn't have the exact same meaning as it does in the States. However, even in parts of the States, using ''Blood'' usually isn't a gang-related thing. I live in Texas and I've -never- heard ''blood'' used as a gang-related word. It always has the meaning that Ephemoross mentioned.

  • @13thSealBroken yea people use it casually, i use it all the time but that doesn't mean that its origin isn't gang related

  • Did you color your hair?? It's so kawaii !

  • oooo wow!! thanks for teaching those!! xD... i havent even heard some of those words before~ thanks BLUD! XD

  • "What's up blud?" How ya doin?

  • pretty different from american slang... o_o

  • @NaviiAvii ikr?!?

  • That was sick :P

  • Ha watching this I was waiting for you to include "Safe"... I, perhaps to my discredit, use this alot.

  • I don't use slang. hahaha i get confused when people say it to me and im like heh?? and im in yr 9 hahaha

  • Wow, I'm not Japanese, but this video taught me a lot! I don't have English slang in my country. More a mix of American and English, so this was really interesting! :D

  • I have no idea why but 'innit' just cracks me up XD and your hair looks great by the way :-)

  • I'm buzzin' for your video!

  • Comment removed

  • swag ((A new slang everybody is saying in America))

  • lmao saying "whats up blood" will get you shot where im from

  • I have some what of a british accent even though the rest of my family does not and has no connection to Britain at all. I always get looks when I use british slang in America :p Is it really that strange?

    Thank you for posting :)

  • ohwow i didn't know English people use "innit". i thought only african american guys say it lol

    i love bloody hell

  • Coming from Canada, I learned some new slangs from your videos. Funny how English speakers from different countries have totally different slang =) Thanks for posting!

  • wow, we (USA) speak the same language, but I'd be SO confused with your slang 0_0

btw, are many British people bilingual? Or are u more of an exception? :)

  • @totaldramaqueen108 Her being bilingual has nothing to do with her being British. She studied hard that's why she's good in Japanese. But I'm pretty sure there are many British people who are bilingual too... maybe even multi-lingual. (^_____^)v

  • @tipaiprodigy I was just being curious about Britain, that's all ^^

  • @totaldramaqueen108 French, Spanish and German are taught in most schools here (England) and you usually have the option to study at least one of them in your final years of school. There's usually exchange programs etc too. Japanese however, is either taken at University or as an evening class/adult class, I do believe that there are a few collages that have Japanese as part of their course selection.. but it's rare to find.

TLDR: Almost all students study either French, Spanish or German here.

  • @ephemeross thank you for the input!!! ^_^

  • @totaldramaqueen108 You're welcome :)

  • lol English slang is so neat ^-^! it's so funny see you say all those boyish japanese words!!!

    Youtubeには、「購読」よりも「登録」の方が良いと思うわ。「登録する」とか「チャンネル登録する」とかね★ it took me ages to work that one out since 購読 is what the dictionary always says ^-^;;

  • haha, a lot of these slang words are rather.. chav-ish, hm xD

  • @Sian103 Yanki = Japanese equivalent of a chav!

So I did mention it ;)

But yeah, they super are. I never use these words.

  • yay! your hair looks so good in this video! i prefer it this colour!

lol if you wanna hear proper slang listen to N dubz- "N dubz v Naa" its so funnyyyyy
