  • Is it hard to get a halter on them with their horns? And would they still be fairly tame if you can't see them for over a week? Thanks!

  • Oh how nice! I live in Edinburgh, and just outside of the city, you can see a lots of them around our beautiful Scottish fields:) They can walk very close to people, even you can touch them! Tourists thinks they are dangerous because they have a huge horns. The Scottish Highlands cows are so pretty and gentle!!

  • Oh, what a blessing it is to see an animal I've never seen before! How beautiful. ~Anni~

  • They remind me of a sheep dog. lol We dont raise those at the farm but I have seen them before. I remember dad used to have a milk cow, Rosie. I dont think he ever had more then one but I was little when he stopped milking her and started to buy store milk. Great video of them. Looks very peaceful!

  • Hi Rebecca,

you have beautiful Scottish Highland cattle.

    You can really proud. :-)

    Verry nice animals.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Greeting Tito

  • Your videos are always so inspiring!! I am moving back to Washington state( after 10 years in the Sonoran desert) and am hoping in the near future to be able to be on some farmland. You, my dear, are an incredible woman to do all you do!! Thank you so much for sharing glimpses with us - Blessings!

  • They're just beautiful! :)

  • I always liked this type of bovine. You are truly living the "good" life ! Have you ever considered getting a few bison ? They are my alltime favorite 4 legged creature !

  • @joe2trees I would love to have bison but then I would have to get all new fencing, all new vaccination equiptment and all new chutes. They would be just a bit big for the ones that I have now. LOL All bovines need to be innoculated once a year by law and bison are hard to do. I do work with the HOChunk every December though to innoculate their herd and it is an amazing experience. If you ever get the chance to help out the Lakota people always need volunteers, but it's hard, cold work. ;-)
