  • why didnt it fly?

  • ta wrong that installation of the turbine

  • @fightercar This is not a car, this is a two-stroker and it is using a tuned pipe so it shouldn't be mounted directly on the engine or you will mess up the exhaust resonance and kill performance. Even cars have turbine systems mounted all the way back on the exhaust where the muffler should be. Plus, this engine is designed to run at its power-brand at all times so the lack on response time is compensated while the main rotor is gaining speed.

  • were did u get the turbo

  • is this to get more boyracers into helis? "oooo look its got a turbo on it!" wank wank wank. maybe some big turbo stickers down the side will work :)

  • @mark675 Well no, to be honest, I made something and liked the idea of putting it on a heli engine.

I build 2 stroke racing engines, and this is just for the fun of it. That's the purpose of having a hobby, to have fun.

  • The only way to effectively 'super' or 'turbocharge' a engine like this is to use an expansion chamber on the exhaust. It simply uses pressure waves to scavenge exhaust from the cylinder, and then a partial new charge, then pushes the partial new charge back through the exhaust port into the cylinder once the piston has passed the intake port, thus creating 'boost'.

Enemy though, the tiny turbo is cool...what's the brand/part#/specs...I'm sure I could use it for something....

  • does that improve anything on the heli?

  • I hope that's not a two stroke, because if it is, you dumbasses have ruined that engine. This belongs on a four stroke.

  • @TestECull omg noob...they didnt runied it...ussualy i stay back with coments but ur real noob....turbo is meant for 4 stroke engines bcs it can make compresion...but still works on 2 stroke...not good as on 4 t but works...and adds some power to motor

  • @theCROfna You simply can not turbocharge a piston-valve two stroke engine. There's no way to pressurize the combustion chamber if you have the exhaust and intake ports open concurrently, which is the case. Since ALL two stroke glow engines are of this variety, this means you can not get any meaningful power by boosting them.

If you want an example of a two stroke that can accept boost, go check out some Detroit Diesels. Any other two stroke using that principle will also accept boost.

  • @TestECull yes u can...think abaut direct injection...and if u modify valves positions or put 1 way walwes on it u can make compresion.....

  • @theCROfna ...Glow engines don't have direct injection, and at any rate that does nothing to provide a seal against which you can build boost. As for valve positions....Read up, fool. Two stroke RC engines do not have valves you can adjust! The piston uncovers ports, exhaust and intake, each and every time it reaches BDC. IT closes them all again as it travels back up on compression. YOU CAN NOT BUILD BOOST IN A TWO CYCLE GLOW ENGINE!

  • @theCROfna u know that u can teach moneky to walk on 2 legs...but he is still monkey...same as u

  • @theCROfna Monkeys learned to walk on two legs by themselves, by crossing rivers. This is how we evolved to walk on two legs. =D

  • Ummm you CANT TURBOCHARGE A PISTON VALVE 2 STROKE!!!!!

  • What's the use of a turboed helicopter? its not like you're going to see improvement in miles per hour. maybe a better response but these helicopters naturally aspirated have a fast response.

  • How did you do that?

  • WHERE CAN I GET ONE?! OMG I want it noWWWWW

  • Nice but ... its a pointless cause ... these helicoptwers are already very overpowered

and you want to give it more .... you crazy mann =)

  • thats just a big bowl of awesome

  • Mass produce these and you will make millions for hobbyist and small engines people

  • Wow that is awesome!! Not sure about glow engines but wouldn’t it be better placed before the silencer? I.e. pipe it straight from the engine into the turbo then have the silencer after the turbo? The exhaust gas would have more energy then as it would still be exploding out of the engine. Or do the glow engines need the exhaust for back pressure or something?? Totally awesome !

  • NICE, it's always cool to see people going above and beyond store-bought! :P

  • very cool

  • where can i get one of these????

  • wow, i didnt know they made turbos for RC vehicles...... where did you get yours?

  • @dazlia2 you have a really good fucking point im sick of the bullshit too

  • hi where can i get one please?

  • AfghanKnight007 - Why do you want one? To strap a fucking bomb to it and fly it somewhere where there are lots of innocent peopel? fucking terrorist mother fucker............hope you and your mum die of aids :)

  • dazlia2. Now u r on my list. i will make u suck my cock b4 chopping ur head off..

  • mmmmm yum yum lol

  • @dazlia2 Is this guy serious!?! 5 years old perhaps?

  • dude nice trex i love mine!

  • The heli, or the turbo?

  • where can i buy one?

  • if u have a nitro rc car put the turbo on it and make a vid

  • For who ever wrote the turbo needs to be between the engine and tuned pipe is wrong, because the sound wave that forces the air fuel charged back in needs to be before the turbo so there is no interference, and if u dont belive me look up turbocharged snowmobile it's a two stroke and the same principle applies.

  • where can I find a turbo that small?

  • i know thats so fucking sick does anyone know

  • OMG thats cool :D

  • it looks likes ur compressor side is on the exhaust lol r u running it backwards?

  • were can i get one of those turbos?

  • wear can i get one?

  • hello I want a turbo like tuo.tu sell them? me the address where you bought?

  • siete pazzi!!!

  • its a 2 stroke engine with turbocharger?

    how works a reed valve??

perdon mi ingles es malo , my english is bad..

Since the valve works with the turbocharger?

And if it is not an inconvenience(trouble) ... me podrias to spend(pass) a web where they sell these turbines

  • lemme get tht turbo for my hpi rs4

  • I think it is useless. First off all turbo place is wrong. It must be on between engine and pipe second air which is coming from turbo must be cooled by a radiator.

In current case I dont believe that turbo is running on enough output presurre and air coming to engine is very hot. Your engine can be easly on lean..

  • Well you can't put it between engine and pipe, because you would change the resonance of the muffler which will result in a performance loss. Always think 2-stroke!! The sonic pressure pulse is your outlet valve and must not be obstructed.

  • your talking out your stupid asshole shut up your making me mad with your nonsense babble it sounds like you took something you read on the internet(which was wrong) paraphrased it but when you did you forgot most of it either that or you are retarded

  • COOL! I want to have a rc turbocharger, Do you know where you can buy it ? And maybe you can sell your prototypes? Thnx

  • Comment removed

  • So did you make it yourself?

  • Thanks guys, yes the turbo is selfmade prototype.

Will be making a new turbine wheel when I´ll have time to do it.

Turbine wheel is the first part that I made and it´s more suited to a bigger engine.

    MJP

  • at what RPM does your turbine spin when full head speed is applied? im assuming somewhere around 50k, so what type of casting/molding did you use for the turbine? finally, if you plan to sell these turbos could you shoot me an email with any updates? enoctis[at]yahoo[dot]com

  • how big is the motor in cc's??

  • @MJPilote holy crap. u made it yourself? i feel sorry 4 you when you had to make that turbine disk thing inside. u need heaps of patience. Keep up the good work :P

  • it sounds sweet, dude

  • Sweet., I didn't know they made turbos that size.
