  • Why do I live these guys and lady

  • Nicht für Silber nicht für Gold.

    Klasse !

  • GREAT SONG

    SUXXX VIDEO QUALITY

  • @catindisquise True enough- but this is the ONLY version out there. I should know; I've been scouring cyberspace for a better one for months now.

We should be thankful we even have this.............

  • Rapidly becoming my favorite DK performance of all time. It's like a mini-musical type thing! So much fun to watch- and 2:39 - 2:53 only adds to the enjoyment.

Even non-fans have to admit that DK gives the most enjoyable, heartfelt, thoroughly entertaining performances you're ever going to see..........

  • Eine süsse Erinnerung von 1980.

  • Did Steve's teeth get fixed!?

  • wow, at 3:44 leslie kicks steve in his painfull place and louis stomps on steve's head O_O mean! xD

  • It's nice to see a song where you can hear more of their individual voices.

  • La canción alemán "Der Verrater" significa El Traidor.

  • Why are they picking on Steve?

(i.e. what is this song about? in English that is? If I spoke German I wouldn't be asking.)

  • In this song, Steve played a gaurd or sentry who left his post to spend the night with his girlfriend, and then the enemy came in and killed everyone. Der Verrater means "The Traitor," they're saying that he betrayed them all by leaving his post.

  • @romulanprincess - Cool. Thank you! Since Dschinghis Khan did mostly historical or geographical songs, do you know if this one was based on some specific historical event?

  • Not that I know of specifically, although I've heard the title is a reference to Judas (of Bible fame). That may or may not be true, however :)

  • @romulanprincess

During the course of the song, he is being called "du feigling"(unsure what it means), verräter(traitor, i assume), Judas, du shuft (yet again, i'm unsure of the meaning), du hund(i assume, dog, used as a derogatory).

  • @RubberyCat Feigling can mean coward, I think shuft means wretch or villain, and yes hund means dog. The song title basically translates to The Traitor.
