  • Great job, guys. Short and sweet video too. Good luck in 2012.

  • In New Jersey you can keep two 28+inch fish a person.

  • nice one its a pig

  • Nice job releasing the smaller fish to breed.

  • what bait

  • Catch and release. Fish for the future. Thanks a lot.

  • The 32 pounder was nice, Your biggest and to let him go, That is a Sporstman. And that big cow, Nice job guys. Tight Lines to ya's......

  • I'm not sure but the reason why the stripers are smaller is that there are more little ones out there abd they eat most of the food so it's less food for all and they don't get enough food to get real big

  • Am glad to see that you let him go.

  • i envy the stripers down yur way! i live in boston, ever since they dropped the keeper size from 36 to 28 inches, the fish just havent been the same. Way to many people are keeping all the small keepers, so they dont get to grow! when the limit was 36 inches, wed catch bigger fish. i wont keep a 28 unless im with someone who eats fish and REALLY wants it to eat. maybe im more sympathetic cause i wanna catch bigger fish and dont eat seafood, lol

  • Good for letting tht bass go. Let it grow and big bass like 45+ dont taste as good as 30 or less

  • NICE FATTYS!!

  • U guys sayin that they're aren't big ones anymore are wrong, it's cus they're protected so they're are more which equals less food for each, if there were less it would be more food for all and they would be huge!

  • it was a female and should have been released. males don't get much past the 30" range.

  • @TheHABSSUCK1 males don't get past the 30 lb range, ya mean

  • @TheHABSSUCK1 I think he'd mount it. I would too for memories. It's good for the Taxidermy and that thing will be preserve for life. :)

My son caught a 12lb LMB and I mounted it for him. Of course we catch and release, but I promised him that I'll mount his first 10+lber. Cost me $200 too, but it's all worth it.

  • What were you using for bait?

  • I agree with molebeus. Unless you NEED it to eat, your better off keeping the smaller fish. They taste better and have lower amounts of Mercury and other toxins.

  • I released my 54lber in 2005, because they are great breeders, and mainly because bass over 30lbs taste terrible anyway. if someone is harvesting fish to feed his family l"m all for that. you guys that bash people for not releasing their catch need to get a clue, its the bunker netters killling all your bass. so why don't you direct your hard-ons toward them. the first spring off of NJ we had cows on the beach was the spring that they banned the purse seiners from dragging along the beach.

  • Congratulations and double congratulations for letting the fish go...the striper population is still under shit-loads of pressure..! Kudos to catch and release man.

  • What did you use as bait?

  • :o Biggest one I saw was 56 in. by my grandpa, back in 06'. You don't see the monstrous 50in+ anymore though... All gone.

  • @flyythojboii

yep, because of people like Kol1921

  • u could sell thoes for like 50 buck here in cali

  • Gota love the Tackle Box...... Nice catch !

  • thats one big fish!

  • a 32 pounder would difentaly be dinner for me

  • @rpkita where are u fishing and what r u using?

  • Hi guys, thanks for posting the great your fishing video on the YOU TUBE VIDEO.

I really enjoyed myself watching your fishing video and this summer I want to practice more because I am a just beginner guy.

  • 54 BIG POUNDS!

  • there is nothing wrongwith releasing a big fish good job guys keep the stripers runnin, now that striper will produce thousands of little stripers in the future

  • thats huge, damn straight that ain't no minnow hahaha happy fishin fellas

  • i almost always release my fish. i mean what am i gona do? i dont eat them. id rather know that the thing is out getting bigger instead sitting in a trash bin after weigh in

  • they released them so someone else has a shot next time with the fish. if your fishing for sport you should release your catch.

  • what did you catch them on

  • did u catch it off Long Branch or to the south?

  • Wheres the 54 pounder? These look 30 pounds or smaller.

  • its not good to keep the big 54 pound fish because most of those huge ones are females and breeders.

  • is that the bay

  • Congratulations!

    Bravo and graeat sportsmanship!

    Catch and release baby!

    Nice going.

  • where was this fish caught. i need to no. and what baits were used. i am just a young fishermen trying to learn a few things about fishing

  • @fishermen96

no one is going to give up their spots

  • i went with a few friends last night deep sea fishing and we caught about 53 stripers hahah. Which part of Jersey is this?

  • Nice fish guys!

  • why would you let the 32 pounder go

  • Bigger fish are the most prolific breeders.

  • beace the larger fish have the right jeans in them to make outher larg fish so in the long run it will be a better fishing habitat

  • Kol1921 you know nothing about fishing if you ask a dumb question like that!!

  • @Kol1921 The question is why would you keep it.

  • @Kol1921 Yep big striper!!!

  • @Kol1921 to get bigger i caught a11lb large mouth bass and i let him go

  • @Kol1921

    to continue the species?

there's a reason why you think 32 pounders are so big today....

  • @Kol1921 perfectly legit question - Maybe they were at their limit or maybe they were under the delusion that they are preserving the species or maybe he just likes watching fish swim away from the boat who knows - but dont let these tree huggers bother you for asking a sensible question.

  • @Kol1921 Well in NJ you an only keep 2 fish between a certin limit, maybe they were full.. Is this at the rips?

  • which dragger gave you the 54 poundert

  • I be happy just to catch one over 40 inch

  • my dads friend got a 64 lbs and 53 height

  • where at?

  • boston harbor

  • strippers are my favorite fish, but i live on the west coast in California and they are very rare to get in the ocean but the lakes have some big ones.

  • actually live in california and from april to sept. they average about 30 lbs last time was out the next to me caught a 46 inch 53 pounds so if you got any questions just ask

  • where do you catch them in california?

  • well i catch them all over the san joaquine river , stanislaus river and the sacromento river..i catch big ones in sf bay and there is no beach in california that you cant catch them.....where have you tried? what kind of bait do you use...

  • well i have caught them at Pyramid lake and some other lakes. i use lures and sometimes anchovies. well, people do catch them from the beach in California, its reaaaaally rare though.

  • na only exclusively 2 atlantic ocean papa

  • nope your wrong. people catch them here some times. they are from the atlantic but some where brought here.

  • yup defiantly should have let it go. what good does it do when its dead? Take your pics and let the big ones go.

  • you gota let the small ones go, but as for the big ones, they are better off as dinner

  • damn right

  • dude i dont care if im fishing with freinds or for food, if i land that hog, im keeping it....

  • best line ever

    "this aint no minnow!"

  • Big fish are loaded.

  • seriously if he wants to keep the fish he can, it's not your decision it's HIS if u knew that game and fish released half the fish in rivers and lakes u would know whhy not everyone cries over someone keeping a fish...

  • nice

  • These guys are true sportsmen. I have to admire them... To be honest, I would have kept the beast.

  • Usually fish that size are female. I heard that within two years a fish that size is responsible for 1 million offspring. Thats why we let the big cows go.

  • filet-o-fish are already cooked!

  • my biggest bass was a 51 lbs. and no im not lying. was using chunk bait of pogies.

  • NICE FISH, too bad you weighed him in at the crappiest tackle shop on Rt 36

    lol

  • I'd release 'em too...right into the cooler.

  • hahaha

  • @gunner08050......same here

  • @gunner08050 loll

  • I catch and release the bigger fish so they can breed. Serious fisherman should care about future bass stocks enough to release breeder sized fish.

    Remember the 80's?

  • @gunner08050 i've never read such truly spoken words.

  • wth, whats up with you people. its a striper of a lifetime, if he wants to keep it let him. not like itll grow to 70lbs overnight. even if he releases it, the next person might not. so then what?

  • wat caind of bait do u guys use

  • Why keep it when you can catch him later when he is even bigger. Try some etiquette

  • man this is one dumb shit..if i caught a striper that big im taken it home i aint releasing it..

  • Damn, thats a nice fish...

    I live down in delaware

stripers should be runnin real soon now

  • yeah thats was a horrible release

  • i was just wondering a big fish like that means its old im guessing...does that also mean its taste mite not be as good as it was when it was young? if thats the case then i wouldnt mind letting a fish that big go either i think the same with blues i prefer the smaller ones then the big ones because they just taste better

  • i would have mounted the 50 pounder

  • honorable release ;]

  • Right on!! I love that you let go that baby Striper (just kidding) because people don't get catch and release.

That monster 54 pounder was beautiful. It was so fat--was it a cow or a bull? Were you fishing live Bunker, or Spot? Please?

I fish in Southern New Jersey (i.e. Cape May Rips and Delaware Bay) and have lived and fished as far up as Deal/Asbury Park. But, I still am looking for my monster.

    Thanks for the great video!!

  • im one of those people who dont get the catch and release method. is it to assure that 34 pounder gets bigger for somebody else to catch?

  • if your fishing for food then you would not catch and release, but if you are out with your buddies fishing as a sport or just having fun than you release.

  • god dame, my is only 42 pounds. good fishing btw

  • Execellent I released my 45 lbs this year too. It was more exzillerating to release it then to finally catch it.

  • them things good to eat?

  • very

  • pple here in jersey pay u 4 it

  • dammm nice.....

  • nice catch. great release

  • i go to that tackle shop!!!

  • dude!!! why you let him go put that thing on ur wall!

  • great release

  • werd you catch that longbranch

  • great job

  • ill take it

  • looks like fun

  • very nice fish

  • nice fish!
