Some of the most beautiful music of the evening came unexpectedly, when Roditi looked into the audience and called to the stage a longtime friend and colleague: Chicago trumpeter Bobby Lewis. A kindred spirit with an even lighter touch than Roditi, Lewis duetted nimbly in Roditi's The Monster and the Flower.
