GTA in my opinion 'wins' More interesting and well-organized story Unique Characters that almost feel like real people The Environment Everything about GTA was well thought of and planned I bought Saints Row: The Third a few months ago and completed the whole game. I gotta say it is interesting though it doesn't compare with GTA IV The characters were not so touching The storyline was rediculous and it didn't feel 'real' I grew up playing GTA and I can go on forever bragging why it is the best.

Saints Row 2 is more funny than GTA4. You can car-surf,slap bitches with pimpslap,drive planes,make crazy things,you have parachutes,(in GTA4 only ballad of gay tony have parachutes).
The thing is that this video does not show what actually has Saints Row 2 above shows that only in multiplayer activities and shows the campaign and everything that has the campaign as customization and other things so not worth it here do not show all that I go for Saints Row 2.

GTA - Amazing polish, great story, great gameplay, great graphics
Saints Row - Hilarious over-the top story/gameplay, great polish (although not as much as GTA), and CUSTUMIZATION (which is a huge aspect in sandbox games), and finally the actual free roaming kicks Gta ass.

I've played just about every GTA and i don't know why people hate on IV it was a great game not my favorite though, and I've only played Saints Row 1 and SR3, and I loved them, but I'll pick GTA cause that's mainly what I played the most.
Saints Row-> Shallow story, a lot of variety in gameplay. Its a light hearted, shallow game overall. Theres nothing deep about it.
Grand Theft Auto-> Very atmospheric, well known for it's soundtracks, deep characters and has some history. Things are very well linked together between the series.

@marception If you have friends on your console/PC that have GTA, better graphics, better physics and not as glitched, realistic game, go with GTA 4. Saints Row - Satisfying mayhem with likable characters and simplistic story. Also fun wacky gameplay.
GTA 4 - More story based, 3 dimensional characters but not all of them interesting (Brucie is fucking annoying) Fun gameplay, and very realistic.
I have to go with SW in terms of fun gameplay, but GTA in terms of story and driving.

I think GTA IV is better than Saints Row 2 but Saints Row the Third is awesome and much better than GTA IV lets se how GTA V doe it :)

Both. Their both exactly the same, but Saints Row 2 has more activities to do. But In my opinion Saints Row 2 is a GTA ripoff but they're both good and great games.

GTA is better, i play GTA since GTA London , i am a big fan of GTA , cant wait for GTA V , and i am a big fan of saints row , but GTA s much better then saints.. :)

I like the customization and missions in Saints Row. I like multiplayer with my friends in GTA. Both fun sandbox games.

@marception If you have friends on your console/PC that have GTA, better graphics, better physics and not as glitched, realistic game, go with GTA 4. If you have one friend that has got SR2, shitty graphics, shitty physics and really glitched, Unrealistic game, go with SR2 (I have much more fun playing GTA 4 though)

@marception GTA 4 is mostly known for its realism and multiplayer. If you want a realistic sandbox game with a good sandbox multiplayer then GTA 4 is the game for you. Saints Row 2 is all about customization and semi-realistic fun. When I say customization, I mean customization.

He didn't show any little mini games like bowling and throwing darts but overall gta is more fun for story mode and online, while saints row is fun to screw around on in my opinion. But there both fun.

Wow this guy failed to show actual story mode gameplay and he made saints row look like shit , I mean he puts awesome music for gta 4 , but He puts a crappy ass song for game that fun , BTW Saints Row is better because better weapons , cars , and you can be the leader of the gang , take out the other gangs , and own the whole city to yourself . GTA you're hired gun that climbs their way to the top . Saints row is better case closed
