  • great waltz!

  • 7:51 is awesome

  • So much hate in the comment section... Can't we all just agree that we came here to listen to catchy and beautiful classical music?

  • I know this song from smoking weed while listening to Minnesota Public Radio.

  • I heard this song from the Mickey, Donald and Goofy- The Three Musketeers. Lame huh? Haha, no matter, still love it :)

  • I like the part at 7:51

  • This just never ages. These waltzes like the Vienna waltz just get better with time.

  • One small step for man...

  • @PartyVan Really? Who the hell would talk about the "american adventure" on the moon when listening about this Austrian piece of art? No wonder why the world hates americans. Use your own music to remind about your little achievement. Even the phrase of Neil Amstrong is a pretentious joke, just in the "good ol' american style".

  • @l23722 so true, and i am canadian.

  • @Hamgammy Thank you. I am portuguese by the way.

  • lalalalalalaaaaaaaaa I enjoy every time I listen to this :)

  • I got to around 7:50 and there was a crackle in the mic and it kinda ruined the piece for me. but besides that its great to listen to

  • 2001: A Space Odyssey !

  • 79 people have obviously never seen 2001: A Space Odyssey!

  • I've listened to this piece so many times that i already anticipate the crackling sound at 7:51. When i hum along with it, i make crackling noises too lol

  • Spongebob and Patrick? Anyone? :3

  • 7:51???

  • We gonna party like it's 1867!!!

  • perfect song for hannibal lecter :D

*i remember this song was on the 1st episode of power rangers, i forgot which series, the one with magna defender*

  • it's so beautiful

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Me like

  • I was like 3-4 years old believe it or not(I don't remember anything from that age,but ONLY this carved into my memory),the FIRST time I heard this piece and the first classical song I actually heard is "The Blue Danube Waltz",I was watching the movie "The Jungle book"...And still now 20 years later,I still remember the first classical song I heard, and it is still my favorite! :)

"The Blue Danube Waltz",so proud Danube flows trough my country, widest part of Danube is actually in my country! :D

  • k enought classic for today NOW SOME SLIPKNOT \m/

  • tom and jerry :)

  • and spongebob

  • Is it just me hearing some static at 7:50? Still though, I love listening to this..

  • 78 dislikes nice try mozart =)

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!! OMG YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND THIS SONG IF YOU DONT KNOW THE NAME?!?!? I SAW SO MANY PEOPLE ASK ABOUT THIS SON AND NOBODY KNEW WHAT THE NAME WAS!!!! maybe its because we were all saying 'la la la la la lala la la la la la la la' IM SO HAPPY I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @CanndyAppels Congratulations. I know that feeling well!

  • @CanndyAppels

Same!. I heard a bit of it goodbye lenin! But it didn't give the name anywhere. It's especially annoying as the song is so famaliar to everyone but no-one can name it. Lol, I only found it by randomly typing in names of famous classical songs. Got it on the 3rd try though.

  • @CanndyAppels i was the same way i even looked up soundtracks on where i heard the song and no damn movie had the name of it. Until i googled "top 10 waltz in the world" and that is how i ended my 5 month search for the song. a different song i was looking for took me 1 year i love the feeling once you find the name

  • @CanndyAppels Yes. It literally took me years to find this song. The way I found it: I remembered it was played in 2001: A Space Odyssey. I checked the list of music in the credits. I was so happy when I found it.

  • @CanndyAppels Switch to decaf ;)

  • @CanndyAppels same. I just knew it as "The 2001 Space Odyssey waltz". So I googled that and here I am :D

  • @CanndyAppels thats like saying whats the one dubstep song that goes wub wub wub wub wub wub

  • @CanndyAppels if you want to save yourself some trouble, google the name of whatever medium you heard the song in along with the word "soundtracks" or "list of music." that'll narrow it down

  • Just saw 2001. To visualize the precision maneuvers of docking at a space station as a type of ballet and blend it with music most appropriate for the occasion was just plain genius. I have to applaude two gentlemen who never met each other. Mr Strauss and Mr. Kubrick.

  • what's that gun loading sound at 07:51 ?? :D i mean the first time i heard it i was like WAAAH don't shoot me.. huh?

  • Thank you Stanley Kubrick. His films piqued my interest in classical music as much as anything else.

  • such a peaceful song. yet all i can think of is bones, spaceships and gary oldman peeling off his own face.

  • Thumbs up for jellyfishing. :D

  • @Rhesputan X) ikr

  • I sometimes wonder what would happen if the world started listening to great music like this again

  • 78 dislikes! must be deaf. Or they like noise (which is heavy metal).

  • 78 dislikes.. You gotta be kidding me

  • Currently listening to this while doing my embroidery, ahhh feels like 1860 again

  • My mind is going...

  • I got the vinyl for this song , play it everyday

  • I find it funny that on this song there was an advert for a concert... where they were playing this song.

  • Open the pod bay doors please HAL.

    ...

    I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

  • @edharkness Just what do you think you're doing, Dave?

    ...

Dave, I really think I'm entitled to an answer to that question.

    ...

I know everything hasn't been quite right with me, but I can assure you now, very confidently, that it's going to be alright again.

    ...

I feel much better now. I really do.

    ...

Look, Dave. I can see you're really upset about this. I honesltly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill and think things over.

    ...

  • @GunnytheBunny1 Stress pill is code word for cyanide.

  • Inspiring!!!!!!!!

  • thank you coldplay pre concert song

  • Thank You 2001: A Space Odyssey

  • As beautiful as this masterpiece is all I cant think of when I here this is Homer Simpson flying about in a space ship eating crisps.

  • @john3000931 After I died laughing at this I had to find the video lol

  • @john3000931 LOL now you brought it to my mind as well ;'D This also reminds me of my digital piano where this is one of the sample songs and i sometimes listen to it and dance around my living room :D:D

  • @john3000931 That really made my day :.D I just remember from that Disney movie The Jungle Book.

  • @john3000931 i always think of 2001 a space odyssey and, alternately, of dexter flying in space.

  • @john3000931 da da da dun dun *om nom* *om nom*

  • @john3000931 or peter griffin :D

  • @john3000931 I was watching NASA's livestream online with a friend, and he linked this to me. It was just perfect.

  • The first time I ever heard this it was on a old Looney Tunes episode and I loved it. I now that I'am at least 10 yeas older I love it more. Thank you Germany and all of your great Classical music. I know he is not German but Austria and Germany are very similar countries.

  • @sethmango even if you think they are "similar", why not just thank Austria in the first place? ;)

  • @sethmango Why not just thank Austria if you know he is Austrian?

  • best composition ever!

  • the static at 7:50 scared me!

  • @sedftnio I also. I was just groovin" away, eyes closed and counting time. I almost fell backwards.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • the dislike bar is the same size as Justin Bebers penis :D

  • @TheMRgugge You would know wouldn't you?

  • @alexsq2 Everybody knows :)

  • only 2.3 million for the blue danube

  • esto es una pasada,

  • Magnifico !!!!!

  • Rock bands are just jealous because they can't control their 6 person band and Johann Strauss can control dozens with a tiny little stick, Classic rocks.

  • "Waltz music The Blue Danube" can relief (recover) the central neural system which have previously been injured due to long period of suffer. You will feel relax and light, not only on the body, but also your mind. For you who have been feeling weak for a long time, even since the early age, your cells will say: You don't have to be suffer anymore. Let's live freely." (The True Power of Water; Masaru Emoto)

  • Please evacuate the building...

  • YES!

  • Reminds me of springtime during childhood :')

  • @Deel2506 what a cool thought!

  • Emirates Airlines commercial made me do this.

  • @radcam69 fuck you

  • @El999Gato Go listen to rap.

  • Like if you can't listen to this without thinking of the Simpsons

  • Good thing Strauss didn't have auto tuner. Today's "artists" are nothing but computer generated clones of one another.

  • @hmasterpiece85 then you haven't been looking in the right places for your music, mate :)

  • @hmasterpiece85 I prefer rock music. Classic rock music that actually has to be performed or classical music. I was speaking in regards to people in pop music and hip hop that is more main stream and shoved down our throats.

  • the classic part (also my favorite part) 1:33-2:14

  • @strawberrybanana28 Yes!! 1:33 - 2:14 is the best!! :D

  • I LOVE THIS CLASSICAL INSTRUMENTAL,A TRUE WALTZ.

  • @roscoe496 Oh, absolutely! =')) I really love it, too!

  • I wish this song could go on indefinitely...

  • 3 things immediately comes to mind...

    Looney Tunes (quack-quack... quack-quack...)

    2001 A Space Odyssey

Roxanne (during the scenes of the klutzy volunteer firemen)

  • @CHAOSin8bits Yeah go Kubrick!

  • Love this song!

  • Yes. Its like a river, like the Danube.

  • Like the music you hear in heaven.....

  • this balls so hard

  • @ZIMfan675 that does't make any sense.

  • @ZIMfan675 hahahahhaa, saw what you did there

  • @Trinity0844 Old-fashioned? I think they meant classy and elegant.

  • i especially hate what happens at 7:51. would have loved this vid if not for it. still awesome though. :)

  • Excellent rendition, aside a few glitches, of a magnificient classical masterpiece. Thank you!

  • They were playing this Waltz whilst releasing an array of super colourful fireworks in the sky when we were celebrating the 2012 Countdown in Salzburg, Austria. Simply the most memorable moment ever. I will never hear this piece the same way again.... sigh :)

  • Saint's Row 3

    Just sayin'...

  • well tonight it's time again for the New Year's Waltz :D looking foward to this!

  • What is that at 7:51-7:52? Is that a tape rewinding with distortion? Did someone drop their drumsticks? is the microphone losing it's level charge? Lol...

  • Srbija jeste na lepom plavom Dunavu.

  • I'll take this over pop and rap (shudders) any day!

  • I have chills...

  • SRBIJA !! NA LEPOM PLAVOM DUNAVU !!

  • CAREFUL THEY'RE RUFFLED!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I love how this is on saints row 3

  • CAPTION PRICE (GASP)

  • @BigBangBoy677 I see what you did there.

  • I don't understand the hate on this video, why is everybody complaining about today's music, it's not because it's different that it sucks. You guys are so fucking depressing, I like Classic music, I like rap, I like rock, I like reggae, I like dubstep. It's all differents points of view on music and you guys should be a bit more constructive when criticizing other types of music, rather than saying that it's shit.

  • @TheSerialTrain You like dubstep. You're automatically disqualified from commenting on the quality of music. xP

  • @xxNightingalexx You're just being close-minded, I find it regrettable, but I can't force you to think otherwise

  • @TheSerialTrain i didn't mean to hit the vote down button, totally was shooting for the up button... just thought you should know

  • @patches91985 Is that a fuck that I give ? Oh wait...wait for it...wait for it...yeah no luck there, buddy, try again later, maybe you'll be a half as mature as me in that while. Sad to see that you look actually older than me, so whatever, mate, it's only a thumbs up or a thumbs down that has less significance to me than killing a bee. Thanks for your "support" though.

  • @patches91985 you queef

  • @TheSerialTrain and maybe their dumb asses should go out and travel and a bit more cultured. And this is coming from someone who likes all types of music and is straight out the NOLA. Johan Strauss is one of the best composers of all times!

  • @VoodooChild378 I don't really understand if you're agreeing with me or you're being sarcastic.

  • @VoodooChild378 Perhaps the greatest tribute that Brahms could pay to Strauss was his remark that he would have given anything to have written The Blue Danube waltz.

  • @TheSerialTrain lolno, compared to this, rap is objectively bad. the level of complexity and harmony in classical music is centuries ahead of rap in terms of brilliance despite being centuries behind in terms of chronology. if you want to criticize people for needlessly hating, that's a different story - but you can't argue that rap will ever be as good as something like the blue danube

  • @Sph34r That's debattable, friend. I find rap and classical music to be on a close level for complexity. But that's relative really, you're entitled to your own opinion on it.
