By the way, another question: after I downloaded patch 1.497 (sorry if I got the last two digits wrong) after a time the game's graphics became really wierd and primitive... can't really describe it but if you know how to fix it or even if you encountered it please tell me and thx again

@PernixUltor I'm not quite sure, it's been a long time since I've played the game. You can go through the hassle of watching the complete walkthrough on youtube (at least I think someone made it) and try to check for it.

About the graphical glitches with the patch, no I did not suffer from it. Always try being sure that your drivers are up to date and installed properly, and that it isn't suffering from dying, heat, power shortages or anything of that kind.

The multiplayer is the best part of this game.

Pep[;e can play all three characters, Kabuto, Mecc and Reaper against each other. It's usually recommended to have 5 mercs, 3, reapers and 1 kabuto against each other.

During the game the mecs and reapers can build their own bases and vehicles and kabuto can slowly grow and raise offspring to fight for him.

Seriously the most complex and elaborate multiplayer game possible.

this game had the besssst multiplayer, used to play it all the time many years ago. One of my favorite games, I played it for mac and was probably in the top 3 players in terms of skill. Sorry to say, but online shooters now suck compared to this.  What happened to the really fun online shooters, halo 1 was really fun though, but 2 sucked

Well, I managed to find this game at a pawnshop downtown way the heck away from my house, but I got it. I have to say that although this game is innovative on more than enough fronts, it's lacking something that only recent games can answer for. If I had played this game when it came out though, I would have thought it was the best game to ever grace gamers, so as a result; it's a great game that never really got a competent chance to "wow" me.

I played the demo of this from an issue of PC gamer years ago, just the demo made me downright obsessive about playing it; and still I could never find it on store shelves. So instead I think I settled for MDK 2, not a half bad trade off really.

The speed while running, do you mean the big monster Kabuto? You have to look at the small white dot next to your powerpunchloader, if it glows white you are able to press the SPACE bar to sprint.

About the woman and the big monster: you get to play with them after you finish the Mecc campaign.

Very good! But for somebody who has never played it before, it might feel dated. Look at it as MDK revisited, but with a more caribbean feel instead of the grey MDK feel.

@ernesteban Caribbean MDK! love it, thats was kind what I was going for. With MDK we used a lot of black polys for performance(software engine). I got so tired of the dark look by the end hence the bright and cheery style of Giants.
