I have this album of hers when cassette tapes were still transitioning to CDs. It was really funny when you go to record stores and find yourself in a corner where tapes are getting fewer and on another side you're amazed what these big square thingies were. LOL.

Anyway, for me, this one is Brandy's BEST record and the BEST in my collection so far!!!

It is an unspoken truth that today's R&B (or should I say R&P) basically co-opted borrowed and or stole the concepts from the early 2000s Brandy as well as T-Pain and Lil Jon and created something not quite on par but that the youngstas seem to think is great. Note that Brandy didn't need to lean on auto-tune. Every white (or other for that matter) so-called "pop princess" that has been put on since about 2006 owes Brandy a debt of gratitude.

It is a moving song, but there are some things she says that would never make me think of it as her talking about Christ. I just always think about her talking about a man who hurt her and the new man she has who loves her.
