@aggrorulz , That "Lento" probably did not come from Monteverdi. If he gave those sorts of markings, he'd probably have written "Presto." After all, if you'd been dumped alone on a desert island and were afraid that you were going to be eaten by wild animals and never see your mother or father again, wouldn't you be a bit frantic? BTW, the rest of the situation as I describe it is all taken from the complete text of the complete lament, which is worth getting to know.

This is pretty fast tempo for "Lento" as noted in the score. Should be a bit slower!!
