While nostalgic for me, going back to Dungeon Siege I can't believe how awful the gameplay was. Tedium to the max, even as a caster... you had one ability and one only as ranged or melee. I can only say two good things about this game: music and graphics (for its time). But yes, still nostalgic!

dungeonsiege 2's graphics are better then 1, but the gameplay of 1 is so much better then 2, you can explore more in 1 and not have to follow a long ass story line and the world on dungeonsiege 1 is so much bigger.

will never forget the time when i has played that game. ds 2 is not compareable with the original. this one is just so much better. meanwhile there are so many new games with much better graphics, i don´t care. some of my friends have always said: oh look, there is a new computer game, and it has such a fucking nice graphic and so on. some games don´t even need a special graphic to be a special game. this is one of these games. and its hard to descibe this game. its just epic

Dungeon Siege 1 was great to play as a singleplayer game, it really took you on a journey. Not with all kinds of cutscene's and difficult storylines, but by hack and slash survival. And the music, the atmosphere and gameplay really made it feel like survival. Roaming from city to city still having the freedom to walk into the woods for example (with all the risks) accompanied by your trusted mule.

So incredible, the music really brings back an adventure^^

@RXQ79 Actually: Yes in some aspects. It has an advanced conversation engine, quest lines, better animations, more in-depth storyline, but in the basics its still dungeon siege.

It however misses the most important element of DS: The atmosphere.

Dungeon Siege died when 2 came out. Don't get me wrong, DS2 + BW is a great game but it lacked that special magical feeling that the original DS had.
