People who live in "free countries" such as America, Britain etc, do not realize that their inherent rights do not actually exist absolutely regardless of the government. Without the government, the individual has no rights, therefore human rights are a privilege taken for granted. This illusive privilege can easily be suspended or modified by the government, at any time anywhere. In fact, it is only right for a government to exercise control over its people to maintain stability.

The passport was issued by the Kashag (Cabinet of Tibet), Lhasa. The date coincides with October 10, 1947. The passport bears official stamps of recognition by countries like India, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Switzerland and France.

So all the countries on the passport recognised Tibet as a COUNTRY.

"impossible to get new footage"? doesn't make sense. if it was possible during post-revolution frenzies, it should be easier now to get new footage. unless....the so called "oppression of Tibetans" does not exist now. my personal opinion is that Tibetans enjoy as much freedom as other ethnic groups in China. (whether this level of freedom is sufficient is entirely another issue, open for discussion)
