@pabolin1 Probably not, but it would be nice if people would stop mentioning their names here. They have nothing to do with classical music and to be frank, I simply dislike hearing about them.
@pabolin1 Of course not! It takes tens of thousands of hours to be able to play an instrument properly. Those clowns haven't put in even a fraction of that practicing ANYTHING.
And they have NEVER put down anything close to the talent of Tchaikovsky's compositions.
And you've spelled both of their names incorrectly.
I can imagine there being a lot of pressure on the pianist at times when the conductor, and the rest of the orchestra, depend on them to keep time, so that the fills of the orchestra don't come in awkwardly.
This is my favourite concerto. I can't listen to Tchaikovsky's waltzes but his concertos are pure magic.
A farmer played some classical music to hundreds of turkeys. As soon as the music started, the turkeys fell silent; they remained silent all the while the music played. But, immediately the music stopped, the turkeys started gobbling again. It was incredible to watch!
I can go from classical to James Brown to Reggae to pop to African, and back to classical again. ;)

@ataboodream I really agree...I the only one in the whole school who likes classical music...At first everyone was so annoying by telling that i am out of era...FOOLS!!! Classical music is always modern...For me i think that they just do not know what they are missing...A life is enough for classical music but classical music is not enough for a life...and i perfectly think that as i will continue to study, write and hear classical musical i will be always happy...By the way awesome recording...
@AlVasilis I am sorry to hear the way your school is. I am very fortunate to live in a town where the public school is very supportive of the arts. We are fortunate enough to have one of the top orchestras in the State of Minnesota (USA). We have a very large music program (3 choirs, orchestras & bands - and 2 extra ones for each before school -all by audition except for the lowest group in each) for a town of 25,000. Don't give up - surround yourself with others like yourself!
@AlVasilis Well in my opinion, modern music like 'Rap' etc. wont last 500+ years, want to know why? Because it gets old unlike Bach's music which has survived for a long time,although not everyone listens to it, it a hell a lot more than anybody listening to 'rap' is 600 years. Thats why this music is so good. Anyone nowadays can make rap. But to compose a piece of classical music takes talent, time and effort
@capncoolio i kno just what u mean!! im 18 too and i listen to, sing, and play classical music! i love classical music, there're many foundational principles to learn 4rm it!!
@capncoolio "friends" ? There is absolutely no shortage of kids that still play classical instruments. You're not "classy" just because you listen to this music. Enjoy it because it's enjoyable, not because you feel like it makes you better than your friends.
@liud128 Agreed! So many other kids on here keep boasting about it but there are plenty of people at my school who listen to this stuff anyway. I listen to it because I enjoy and others don't because they don't enjoy it. It has nothing to do with class.
@JenLynnLab 100%. Since I was 5 I enjoyed listening to Ravel. Mind you, I enjoy other things, too.. I happen to love The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Jay-Z.. but uh.. classical has always been my first love and it is now my profession.

@JenLynnLab Agree.
I'm just 18 and I've listened to classical for years now. Sure, my friends make fun... but they just don't get it.

@capncoolio They may make fun...
but they will never experience anything as beautiful or as moving in their lives.
You're part of a VERY special group of people. Be proud!

Don't give up - surround yourself with others like yourself!
crazycellist973 1 year ago
@AlVasilis Well in my opinion, modern music like 'Rap' etc. wont last 500+ years, want to know why? Because it gets old unlike Bach's music which has survived for a long time,although not everyone listens to it, it a hell a lot more than anybody listening to 'rap' is 600 years. Thats why this music is so good. Anyone nowadays can make rap. But to compose a piece of classical music takes talent, time and effort
Pauliwog13 1 year ago 7
@Pauliwog13 Trust me you can't rap. And opposing rap and classical music is pointless.

@capncoolio "friends" ? There is absolutely no shortage of kids that still play classical instruments. You're not "classy" just because you listen to this music. Enjoy it because it's enjoyable, not because you feel like it makes you better than your friends.
liud128 1 year ago 13
@liud128 Agreed! So many other kids on here keep boasting about it but there are plenty of people at my school who listen to this stuff anyway. I listen to it because I enjoy and others don't because they don't enjoy it. It has nothing to do with class.
Seanze329 1 year ago
@JenLynnLab 100%. Since I was 5 I enjoyed listening to Ravel. Mind you, I enjoy other things, too.. I happen to love The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Jay-Z.. but uh.. classical has always been my first love and it is now my profession.
