  • Funny how he leaves that blank cpu on top of the RAM. or am i the only one that noticed that?

  • JESUS!!THE CAMERA IS FLYING!!!!

  • how did you build your computer case ?

  • Change the windows page file on the main HDD to 24gb+ I have 16gb ram in my pc and windows (7) was only detecting 12gb. And 12gb was my page file size... I upped it to the recommended 18gb and it now detects all 16gb!

    Good luck.

  • well im not to smart at this but did you trying changing setting to the recommend voltage?

ill try look around see if i can find some more info.

  • it would depend on me or so but your cpu cooler sounds prety loud:D

  • You're voice is the same with Zero's voice In GTA: San Andreas :D

  • how much costs all your configuration and how much will cost in 3-4 years ?

  • @A1babaU Looks like a 2000 - 2500 rig. 4gb Kingston value ram can be bought for 15$ each, mother board , 450$, cpu 1000$, PSU 200 max, graphics card, disc reader.... the rest... Technology usually drop prices 20 - 30 percent after the first year of their release and usually the high end gaming hardware retain their price over the years. So this rig in 2 years would likely be less than a thousand dollars. it's only the processor that is so expensive on this rig, paying hefty for 12mb L3 cache

  • lol it's not 12 cores ? o.o

  • Dude honestly how the fuck did you get your job and how the hell do i sign up?

  • for what you need 24GB? :)))))

  • POV: Linus

  • 12 cores ?

  • Day 351: Still haven't found veyron201's comment :(

  • Home Premium only supports 16GB...

  • @MW2watchyourback09 DEPENDS THE MOTHERBOARD THAT IT HAVE

  • @MagicVG1 Nope, Windows 7 Home Premium can only use up to 16GB. Like the 4GB Limit for Windows 7 32 bit. You can install more but you wont be able to use it.

  • Great, now I have to go find veyron201's comment.

  • yes yes yes, but will it take an arrow to the blender

  • Will it play tetris?

  • @Trualdie no probably not maybe minesweeper with 25 in average fps..

  • 12 PROCESSORS WTF !!!

  • @werwwweqweqwewqe 6 cores, each core has 2 threads, 6x2=12 threads/fake cores

  • Z not ZED! (I know you're in Canada, just giving you a hard time from the good ol US of A)

  • @PhenomII1090T ZED Not zee From ENGLAND!

  • @PhenomII1090T Fuck off insulting other peoples language. Besides You speak ENGLISH and people in ENGLAND say ZED

  • @bencurwen96 well someone obviously can't take a joke, it's the internet dude don't take anything seriously

  • @PhenomII1090T different countrys say stuff differently. Chill dude. I highly dought you could understand my scottish accent you being from america.

  • win 7 can handle up to 16Gb ram

  • @mmangames only home premium. Pro, Ent and Ult can handle 192GB

  • @lolatyoufools Sorry, I was misinformed. thanks for the info, btw.

  • 5:27 Wow, wait, we're not in 2020...

  • His Computer is just some kick ass gaming rig and his keyboard is just an old grey one xD

  • You can get a Mac Pro with 64 GB Ram with 12 cores.

  • @Dilster3k hahaha what an idiot

  • @caste1200 Why? It's true.

  • @Dilster3k yeah but then that'd be for a rich pussy !! unless you're gonna tell me the buyer works for hollywood haha

  • i nearly got carzy with my new gigabyte x58 board, it only became unstable when i replaced the board had alot of crashes, turns out my ram really needed 1.65v to run stable, but the clock was still unstable for this 1.65 volt ram until you actually change all the other ram vref wich is .75v half vram 1.5v by default bois on the board, vref is a reference for switch digital highs and lows, it alway need to be half of vram, when i change it to .82v i lost all crashes and instability! give it a try

  • i actually have corsair 1600 9-9-9-24 3gb 3x1gb dim set, that is rated 1.65 too. i had alot of times of sudden hang on my x58 board, after alot of bios mods,my dim voltage was set automatically set to 1.5v, fianlly yes you need to raise the dim voltage to 1.65v and all the other dim ref voltage to .82v half of dim voltage, even if you change dim voltage to 1.65v, the other dim ref volt will remain .75v by default wich is for 1.5v dim voltage by default, give it a try, dim v 1.65v .82v ref.

  • FINDING veryron201 COMMENT! OH SH** 1831 COMMENTS IT WOULD TAKE ME QUITE A LONG TIME

  • I Use Crucial Ram download the system scanner from Crucial.com scan your system then Order the Ram from Crucial website so easy.

  • Did you say CPU "ezed"

  • Comment removed

  • just saw it was your vid

  • try enabeling the memory configuration protect, i saw it on another video then he got the 24gigs on the task manager

  • Lol i used OCZ ram once. AWFUL ram! I hated it. They had to replace them twice, and then they sent me a cheque and told me to buy different ram

  • 16gb ram for windows home premium 64bit windows ultimate is higher

  • linus, windows always show 16 ram, it dosent matter if i put in 32 ram but it still shows 16 ram if you have 16 ram or less it gonna show the correct ram!

  • @kalle3181 thumbs up!

  • bro... windows7 home only takes 16gb of ram.. i didnt see if you have pro or ultimate but if you have Home Premium you can only have 16GB.

  • @QuackEdits He says he has Ultimate.

  • Can i play Tetris on that ?

  • what cpu fan is that

  • 980x(6core) has hyperthread. Thats why it says 12 cores lawl

  • -_- ur camera movements make my cat dizzy

  • super overkill !!!

  • Linus is your OS 64-bit? if thats 32-bit it can only support up to 4GB of Ram

  • @R3VBigBlue REALLY!? Why would he use a 32-bit? Wouldn't you think he knows that? After all he is the one with MORE experience than you.

  • @R3VBigBlue And 32-bit can only use 2GB of Ram.

  • @R3VBigBlue if the os was 32-bit it would only show 4gb when it showed 16gb

  • @R3VBigBlue It detects 16GBs tho..

  • Never heard of an EVGA card that was DOA...that's insane. I understand it happens but wow!

  • I was wondering, where do I get a open aired tower like that?? My video card gets bloody hot.. I want to have a setup like that.. if someone could tell me what website sells that shit I'd be thankful..

  • Im not sure, but maybe you put in the RAM in the wrong slot order. I know that my motherboard has a special configuration for placing the memory into the slots. For example I have 8gb (2 x 4gb) of memory and I had 4 slots and I had to install the modules a slot away from each other, but it looked like you placed them in a specific order. Yet again, I'm not sure if I'm right.

  • i believe you can fix that problem by updating you windows 7 i add ram after all updates were done and it fixed the problem

  • What OS do you have? I know Home Premium will only detect 16GB. Anything above Home Premium will detect up to 129GB.

  • My mother-in-law causes me nausea only when she complains me about my silly vids

  • y u touch bottom of all ram sticks?

  • shit on you, you .. you americans with your performant pc

  • motherboards are always picky about ram. ocz ram sucks... ive had a few customers of mine die on me. but nice setup man.

  • graphics card cooking an egg>>>> see ya>>>>>>>

  • An Error occured please try again later :/

  • if your only running home premium there is a ram cap

  • so did you solve the problem about rams?

  • I really enjoy watching your videos :)

  • GOOD now get the rampage iv

  • nice keyboard.

  • WTF 12 cores ?? what type of CPU is that a intel core I 12 ??

  • @veyron201 12 threads and windows sees it has 12 cores check intel

  • @ArduinoMan101 That is HT (Hyper threading) He really have 6 core.

  • @ArduinoMan101 Haha cool

  • @veyron201 yuppp

  • @veyron201 6 physical cores. Hyper-Threading doubles that to 12 vCores.

  • @veyron201 ... well 980x is a six core and 12 thread.. so it shows 12 cores..

  • @FreedomDestiny1 thnx for the info , now i know for what the threads are :)

srry mayby it was a dumb question but i am a bit new to the PC stuf :p

  • @veyron201 no need to be srry about we all have a first time in pc

  • Comment removed

  • @veyron201 I think it´s a 6 Core CPU with Hyperthreading which gives you 6 physical + 6 virtual cores

  • @veyron201 Intel i7 can reach up to 12 cores so if open up task manager you can see the process rate is divided into 12 parts to see how each of the cores performs

  • @veyron201 actually its 6 cores and 6 threads so 6 real cores and 6 virtual cores ;D

  • @veyron201 6 cores with hyperthreading so 12 threads.

  • @veyron201 6 Core with hyper threading.

  • @veyron201 guess you didnt bother reading the title......

  • @veyron201 pretty sure it's a hex core with hyperthreading enabled :X

  • @veyron201

Probably 6 cores and 12 threads.

  • @veyron201 it's called hyperthreading xD

  • @veyron201 6 core cpu hyperthreaded.

  • @veyron201 6 cores 12 threaths... idiot

  • @xNoReGretZ2U not every one knows it straight away,oké!

  • @xNoReGretZ2U 6 cores 12 THREADS!!! IDIOT!!

  • @acemace3618 Dont be a fag.

  • @xNoReGretZ2U Nerdrage crits for 9000

  • @veyron201 i7 980x has 6 cores with HT. So each core shows up as having 2 "cores"

  • @veyron201 6 cores with hyper threading, making 6 additional virtual cores.

  • @veyron201 He has a Core i7-980X, codename Nehalem. It has 12 Megabytes of Level Three Cache, is clocked at 3.2 Gigahertz, has 6 cores, and is hyperthreading capable. His CPU is not 12 core.

  • @veyron201 you are a idiot...i im sorry for you

  • max ram 192gb lololololololol

  • lol I have 4 GB Ram and im happy with it! xD

  • My god, this mobo is annoying, so is the Crosshair V..

  • Saw him using Internet Explorer, cried.

    Saw him use Bing!, left

  • @OkanGultekin of course he is using chrome&google on his home&working computer, this is just a test stand, Linus is not a fanboy to specially install chrome on every system he builds.

  • @OkanGultekin Well it is installed by default on fresh copies of Win 7.

  • @jaysatanfox Is this the time i post an anti-joke chicken picture? Or is it the "Captain Obvious" one?

  • @OkanGultekin It's difficult to tell if someone is just stupid or being sarcastic on youtube...

  • @jaysatanfox Well, that is true. I was just being sarcastic. Trying to get my comment to be a top comment..

    Oh look at that!

  • @OkanGultekin dude, scram.

  • @vincyboy1 Why, isn't that a cool comment.

  • @OkanGultekin Then went back and wrote this comment (Y)

  • @OkanGultekin

saw your writing a retarded top comment and couldn't resist to troll you ;)

    IE is good moron

  • @N0thingT0Lose wooooow you are stupid, ie sucks

  • @N0thingT0Lose luls, I won't even argue against how good or bad Internet Explorer is. I rest my case ^^

  • @OkanGultekin His computer is too good for Chrome,Firefox or Opera web browsers and too good for Google or Yahoo search engines.

  • @OkanGultekin Because Firefox and Google are too mainstream...

  • @OkanGultekin saw him using a VERY old keyboard and display, i got diabetes!

  • my guess is check the list for ram supports, obviously it might work but who knows, you didnt mention the power supply wattage, maybe the system didnt had enough voltage to run all rams, or maybe you had 2 defective rams :( and if that where true, the motherboard needs a refund jeje. oh and one last thing, i know ppl might say and said "why would you need 24Gs for?" well good job for putting the board test its limitation which its what this is all about, good job man.

  • i cant run my reaper with my G1 Assassin zzz reaper 2000Mhz 9 9 9 end up running at 1066Mhz 7 7 7

  • why in gods name would you need 24 gigs or ram??????????

  • @mich27g Try running a heavily populated Maya scene and photoshop at the same time. While watching a video on youtube.

  • lol i have the same screen

  • dafuk you need 24GB Ram for?

  • @StonedSpoon you need 24 gigs of ram to sound impressive... and if you have a sandy bridge I7 6 core processor that hyperthreads 12 cores and to have 24 gigs of ram and windows 64 bit professional and 3 deul AMD radeon 7970's... then you could just run 40 things of battlefeild 3 at about 40 fps... ya know if ur budget it 5000$ :P

  • @StonedSpoon if u do video encoding u can get pretty high

  • im trying to build a pc in order to get value out the actual pc, but i dont know if im missing something. If i have ram at 4gb, graphics card, intel i7, gigabyte motherboard with a corsair power supply and corsair case. Im also getting windows 7, so am i missing something?

  • @MultiSnoopDawg hard drive

  • @vutre4 ye, i was lie: okay send... wait hard drive :D But there is no small stuff hiden underneth that i should know about, i seen motherboards have some battery, got me confused. thx BTW

  • I love you keyboard :)

  • Nice monitor. Same as I got :P

  • What's witht he ASCII post screen? I thought modern mother boards used interactive BIOS'?

  • watching linus build pc that will kill a baby may give you death.

  • This makes me feel my computer sucks...

  • @girinathprti

Th work of prime95 is that the processor will be stressed COMPLETELY so you can see how high the temps will rise AND if your system runs stable

  • maybe itll be able to run minecraft now

  • if i had that system....

  • Being pathetic. sucks dick.

  • is it the msconfig, where you need to check your memory "limit"?

  • @1300l Son, you have no clue what you are talking about

  • @TheTabethic actualy i dont :P

  • @1300l what part of that is it under ??

  • maybe it knows you just dont need more than 16gb?

  • so it can run maplestory now?

  • @CAOMPE1014 no you can't.

  • that puny video card does not deserve to be seated there

  • Wow this is a great motherboard.

  • Go to Resource Monitor under Memory tab see are how much MB are hardware reserved , in my system 2MB!

  • What cpu blank is that at 3:30?

  • @star2gates Opteron 64 processor

  • I googled and it says the maximumof i7 980x is 24 GB. but in parentheses is "dependent on memory type"

  • dude if your using home premium windows max is 16 gigs so thats ur problem

  • @SilentHunter241 lol he was using ultimate

  • 5:15 he uses bing, omg!

  • what about the CPU bus?

  • Update your BIOS
