  • god i love this song...

    especially the last part:

    もう一人ボッチじゃない、あなたが居るから。

mou hitoribocchi janai, anata ga iru kara.

means "I'm not all alone anymore, becourse you're there."

that part sounds phenominal especcially in that medley song from ost 2...

  • DAMNIT

I WANT THE SONG AND THE SOUNDTRACK

  • "Just an old love song that was popular 10,000 years ago." It's still popular 25 years later.

  • original was better. the singer could sing the high notes with ease.

  • whats the song at 1:50 ???

  • @pingu1444 same song actually its just the ending of it

  • i love the song its awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This version is nice but it lacks that emotion that Ijima's version puts out.But I still like it though.one more thing is missing from the song however...... PROTOCULTRAAAAAA!!!!

  • there is another version of Ai obete Imasuka that Nakajima did.I like it better than this one. But I still like this one too.

  • @179107199999 Proceeds to get blown away by Hikaru

  • @Spartanz1170 I like the "Bless the Little Queen" version than the other. That's all that I mean.

  • how can i download this?

  • @mcluva420: Real Player, man...

  • @Elea1408 i mean the mp3

  • I love it so much..

  • T_T

  • T__T Thanks, cry

  • I love this song & anime...the end kinda pissed me off though =.=; 'cause Ranka got the short end of the stick. ...But that's just my opinion...

  • short end of the stick?

    hehe can you explain please

  • you know which "stick"! just kidding!!!

  • If she could win him even in that condition, it'd raise her value :D.

  • the end of this is so haunting. i love it though.

  • I agree. :D

  • what's the best version?

  • depends on yourself

  • how old is this anime?

  • couple of months, almost a year old.

  • Since 24.12.2007

    Till 26.09.2008

  • This song really reminds me of the covered version of "Against All Odds" by The Postal Service. I guess sometimes cover versions are good.

  • I loved Macross since I was a child (8) and to hear Ai Oboeteimasuka always makes me feel shivers from the beauty everytime, from the first time I saw the movie until now (28). I love Yoko Kanno in everything so this version and the singer are good in their own way.

It just doesn't make me go 'Ah...my heart really feels what love is' when I hear it. That's all.

  • Not a fan of this version. I don't think Ranka's voice is right for this song... doesn't have the same richness of Mari Ijiima's singing.

  • I think it's still pretty good.

Yes it's probably not as good as the original

  • man just tried to see if it was possible to sync minmay's version, mylene's version, and ranka's versions together.

    does not work at ALL.

ranka's ver is in a different key and mylene sings it slower than minmei.

  • That's why I like this version. I think this version shows Ranka's vunerability. She doesn't have the richness that Minmei had, but I feel her innocence in her voice. This song fits her character, especially in the beginning of Frontier when she sang shyly with no one around. The lack of music complements this very well.

Best of all, somehow i hear this and feel that with enough confidence, Ranka could take this song and make it her own (which is what happened in MF).

    Just my thought.

  • Yes. It is sweet and tender, and I love this song,. It is haunting; something that fits with Ranka. I love how much emotion is conveyed through this simplistic but eerie rendition.

  • I have an un-ashamed love of Macross, and I'm completely biased, but I think "Ai Oboete Imasuka" is the best anime song ever written.

  • amen. amen.

  • agreed.

  • i concur

  • yesh it is. there should be a spanish version oh wait there is cool sounds horrible thougth .

  • fuk yea!

  • It's mainly because it's just a wonderful song in general, anime or not.

  • here here

  • I agree totally. No other song in anime has ever completely returned those feelings I felt first watching macross DYRL in 1987 to me every single time I hear it. No other song has ever made me believe in life and love in such a way before.

    One simply love song...

  • The first time I heard this song, it was just so epic. Nakajima did pretty good even though she's an amateur.

  • mari iijima's version is more heart warming but this is good too ^^

  • Cuanta pinche nostalgia

  • haha

  • This song brings back so many memories. This version is great, but it can't beat Minmay's. =)

  • I agree wholeheartedly.

  • ..exactly which episode, or where is this from..8D

  • episode 12

  • and ep 1

  • 昔の曲だけど今聴いても泣けるな・・・・・・・・・・

    マクロス最高!

  • I love this song and I think that renka-chan can give us a wonderful feelling with her voice.

  • which album is this song goona be on???

  • It's on the Ranka Lee single.

    Coming June 25th, 2008!

  • original and this both are better!!!!!

  • How can both be "better" when you're comparing the two?!... Parallel universes?...

  • realy good!!! yoko kano kick ass!!

  • OMG, this is so peaceful. i need this to sleep!!!! where can i get this version?

  • I prefer the version by Mikuni Shimokawa.

  • Yeah I did like that much better, but this is good too. Miss Megumi has a natural sounding voice, sorta like Maaya Sakamoto when she first came out for Escaflowne.

  • by any chance, where would you find this?

  • god i love this song. good video =)

  • I hope they include this song in Frontiers OST. i like it as much as the original

  • This version fo the song is song by the green haired girl in the anime. It's the voice actresses first anime role and she did an awesome cover of this song.

  • i love both versions!

  • Question, why Yoko Kanno, does she have something to do with thi music of Macross F???

  • Yoko Kanno is composing the music for macross F. She arranged the original song from DYRL for macross F

  • Not to mention she did that for macross plus as well. Voices was an awesome song.

  • No!

She's too young to be Ijima XP

  • uh, no. if you read the name in the end credits, it says vocal: Nakajima Megumi

  • Nope. Mari's voice is much more nasally on those high notes.

  • Puts!fikou indentica

  • No one compares to Minmay-chan.

  • we'll see...

  • i didn't noticed!!!1 :O

probably because I watched DYRL later on XD

and because the song is an instrumental in the original series

  • ya, i am suprise to hear this song at the end credit, man, i will support this series more then macross zero..haha

  • A nice modern twist on a classic

  • i was surprised this was the end credits song. makes me happy =D

  • Mari's version still is the best.

  • is great, i saw the macross frontier... MACROSS FOREVER

  • this song makes me cry

    is wonderfull...

  • bringing back memories. yes for the modern retelling of the original story!

  • macross is awesome XD

    i remember this song :D

  • My Movie's Copy?

  • you're not a noob... so no XP

  • OMG AI OBOETE IMASUKE REMIX!!!

watch Macross: Do you Remember Love? now noobs...

  • Technically it's not a remix because remixes use the original material. This is a rearrangement :)

  • I think this qualify as a remix since Mari's voice is used in the song.

  • OMG this is from Macross frontier ; ;. Ieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

  • crap... typo!

    Ai oboete ImasukA I meant

    so...

    the original... or the remix?
