We all speak english, very correct but a malayali speaks it different from how a gujarati speaks. And this kind of spelling differently based on georgraphical location is also called in plain english as "ACCENT/SLANG".And it is undoubtable that any language carries a slang as long as it is used.British accent is different from american which is again different from aussie accent. Here only the accent is different.Though it is sanksrit,Only a piece of information,no offence meant by any means.
somebody said about pronunciation.... this is Sanskrit .[south Indian ! north Indian ! .....no need to think this way......]Indians speak English......... ,The English people speak English............... ,how like....any way something different from original Sanskrit pronunciation
dude, way of pronouncing sankrit changes from language to language (for eg. gya in hindi is dnya in marathi, both being so much similar, both being in devanagari script) . .
yes! lot of difference in a telugu person's sanskrit pronunciation from a hindi sider . . please see your indox, im posting a link of da same shlokas being recited by northies . .
hehe take the way of pronouncing the word sanskrit only . . in most of the languages it's sanskrit but sanskrut is marathi!
It would have been much nicer if the sounds were said right....... It's a shame that "sha" sound is sung as "sa"..... That is not how you say it in Sanskrit!!!!!!!
@run4asong Not wrong pronunciations brother, these are correct pronounciations.
I gave an explanation below, you may scroll below. This is the correct pronounciation for a south Indian. In telugu siva is used instead of shiva, viswaeswara for vishweshwara.eswara for eshwara.I think I clarified your doubts.Priya sisters did a great job.I would have complained if they spelled shiva instead of siva, since they are telugu.Thank you !!!!
@mallige1 first of all, sorry to bother you,but these are correct pronounciations for telugu speakers.Priya sisters are telugu speakers. In all temples in AP,all words are spelled exactly the way they do.In telugu it is siva and not shiva,it is sobha and not shobha,it is viswa not viswha,it is visuddha not vishuddha.Using sha is North Indian pronunciation and not south Indian pronounciation.I hope it clarifies all your doubts. And Priya sisters have rendered a marvel here,if you observe it :)
well 'shame' is a not at all a correct word, when you don't know who the artistes are! It would be shameful for them if they said "sha" as it would be like coping the northies! They did an exxellent job . .
If you know, they're known for their excellent diction . .
You can buy the meaning and prayer with the money going to the poor from any Amma visitation event. With the book you can then follow along with the chant. There is a big thick book called The thousand Names of the Divine Mother has each name in sanskrit and english and a discussion on each Name Go to amma.org or embracing the world.
Lalita sahasranama has the unique distinction, among all the sahasranamas, of not repeating even a single name. Further, in order to maintain the metre, sahasranamas use the artifice of adding words like tu, api, ca, and hi, which are only conjunctions not necessarily needed for the meaning except in rare cases of interpretation. Lalita sahasrama however does not make any use of such auxiliary conjunctions
It is a principal text of Shakti worshippers. Lalita Sahasranama names the various attributes of the Divine Mother, and all these names are organised in the form of a hymn. This Sahasranama is used in various modes for the worship of the Divine Mother. Some of the modes of worship are parayana (Recitations), archana, homa etc.
The slokas are organised in such a way that, Devi is described from "Head to Feet" (kEsAdhi pAdham). Lalita Sahasranamam is held as a sacred text for the worship of the Divine Mother, Lalita, and is also used in the worship of Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Bhagavathi, etc.
@mmkrishna0121 are you able to down load meaning for Bhagwati Lalitha Saharasaranam if so give me link and guidance please on how to do as you may have done it your self and having done such wonderful work I am sure you be pleased to share with us too

Absolutely! The enunciations are done with wrong accents. It would have been perfect with correct pronunciation of words that contain "sh" and "la".
