mike turner is one of the best alt rock guitarists, steve mazur is cool and good, but definitely not comparable. Old OLP is the shit. Anything before Spiritual Machines was Radiohead good. Everything after is like Coldplay good. haha. Except for "the world on a string". All that said, Steve's pitch shifter solo is nasty.

You can still hear remnants of the trademark high-pitch whine in Raine's voice here that he was famous for in the first 4 albums... since then his voice has become more "mature" sounding... or whatever... can't really explain it
yes...people don't appreciate Burn Burn...one of '09's best rock/alt. operas, and better than over 1/2 of OLP's old stuff. The only one I can think of that is better is Clumsy...idk about SM
HIPT is way underappreciated. Take away the fact that you keep sucking on the dick of old men (by that I mean old OLP), and you got a well-done and COMPLETE pop/rock/alt. album...even if 3-4 more songs could've been on the album. Better than Naveed, maybe Happiness
And Gravity?? Yes it's their worse, but for what it's worth, it was (and maybe still is) than 90% of the mainstream crap (ie. Creed, Nickelback), and way better than almost ALL pop stuff of the 00s

This performance is in 2003. He switched his vocal style in 2002. What you are hearing is the remanence of his pre-2002 voice fighting his current voice....not auto-tune
@Bedlevelle its on the entire track, its a fixed live recording, very common and no big deal really, you can hear the difference if you go hear fans videos and no cameras/phones do not effect pitch like people say, they effect quality but a camera/phone won't change an A to an E-flat, most singers are flat or sharp, no one is flawless but this is, if you know what to listen for, you can hear the program pulling the notes,thats why autotune is so good, if used well, no one can tell the difference
