The foreskin is the single most erogenous part of the male genitals; removing it causes a severe loss in sexual sensitivity. There also isn't a single medical organization in the world that recommends circumcision. The only reason doctors continue to circumcise is for profit. Isn't that comforting?

I can't say the same for the men who obsess 24/7 over their mutilation. Just so you know, there is a way to get some skin back. Tissue expansion of residual penile skin can create a reasonable facsimile of the intact foreskin. It will restore some lost sensitivity, but most of the specialized structures are gone for good.

@spikeschilde621 babies do not get phimosis. At birth and until sometime around puberty, the foreskin is adhered to the glans. That is, the foreskin is not retractable and should not be retracted. Also, for older children and men, circumcision is not indicated for phimosis. The least invasive treatment is gentle stretching, often with a steroidal cream. If that does not work, then a dorsal slit or prepuplasty is recommended, not circumcision.

@napalmcannon that's the thing with his problem. he has vesicoruretal reflux. and while that causes the UTI's too, you got me thinking, so i called the urologist and he said that having a foreskin does not help the problem. giving him a circumcision takes away one of the problems that adds to the infections.
@spikeschilde621 infections invading the urinary tract are largely due to contact with bacteria present in feces. Smegma that is often found on an intact penis does not usually cause UTI's. Have the Dr's informed you which bacteria is causing these repeat infections?

@spikeschilde621 I'm not sure if I can be of any help to you. But my son was diagnosed with VUR when he was six years old. He's also intact. His pediatrician tried telling me the same thing, cut the foreskin. Interestingly, his urologist (One of the very best pediatric urologists in our state) felt the foreskin likely protected my son. Most children with VUR are diagnosed at a very young age. Every specialist will have their own opinion. Surgery corrected the reflux and we kept him intact.
my son is 5 months old and has vesicoureteral reflux. while his lack of circ didnt cause it, he does get frequent UTI's and as a treatment to help to prevent future UTI's, his doc is pushing the circumcision. I am totally in agreement with it. I wanted him to have it done at birht and the ignorant OBGYN "didnt fee comfortable doing it."

I was circumcised 10 years ago when I was 20years old and have absolutely no regrets! Sexually my experiences are just as good if not better plus its pretty much always clean. When youre uncircumcised you got to clean yourself multiple times a day to keep things smelling right down there. Its a big turn off towards women for this reason as well as looks.

The WHO recommends it based on faulty studies. The uncircumcised control groups were not given proper sex education or condoms, whereas the circumcised test group was.

The foreskin is the single most erogenous part of the male genitals; removing it causes a severe loss in sexual sensitivity. There also isn't a single medical organization in the world that recommends circumcision. The only reason doctors continue to circumcise is for profit. Isn't that comforting?

@JamesVanh I see what you're saying. I'm certainly not happy with my circumcision, but I don't think it's caused me any profound psychological damage. I can't say the same for the men who obsess 24/7 over their mutilation. Just so you know, there is a way to get some skin back. Tissue expansion of residual penile skin can create a reasonable facsimile of the intact foreskin. It will restore some lost sensitivity, but most of the specialized structures are gone for good.

An added note: My solution is for an agreement to be signed by the doctor and a baby's parents that allow the circumcised baby to decide at age 18 whether he feels he's been violated and if so, collect money from his parents and doctor. I'm thinking that 250,000 dollars is a good starting price for the man to receive for being sexually mutilated at birth. Doctors who believe in the benefits of circumcision will trust that the their patients will thank them rather than sue them in the future.

I'm so glad these doctors spoke up even though they are guilty of violating patients who did not give consent to be circumcised. We all know doctors make money doing circumcisions (and so do mohels). It is a billion dollar industry and fyi: the majority of devices used for circumcisions in hospitals are patent-owned by Jewish inventors. @spikeschilde621 babies do not get phimosis. At birth and until sometime around puberty, the foreskin is adhered to the glans. That is, the foreskin is not retractable and should not be retracted. Also, for older children and men, circumcision is not indicated for phimosis. The least invasive treatment is gentle stretching, often with a steroidal cream. If that does not work, then a dorsal slit or prepuplasty is recommended, not circumcision.

@spikeschilde621 infections invading the urinary tract are largely due to contact with bacteria present in feces. Smegma that is often found on an intact penis does not usually cause UTI's. Have the Dr's informed you which bacteria is causing these repeat infections?

@spikeschilde621 I'm not sure if I can be of any help to you. But my son was diagnosed with VUR when he was six years old. He's also intact. His pediatrician tried telling me the same thing, cut the foreskin. Interestingly, his urologist (One of the very best pediatric urologists in our state) felt the foreskin likely protected my son. Most children with VUR are diagnosed at a very young age. Every specialist will have their own opinion. Surgery corrected the reflux and we kept him intact.

I was circumcised 10 years ago when I was 20years old and have absolutely no regrets! Sexually my experiences are just as good if not better plus its pretty much always clean. When youre uncircumcised you got to clean yourself multiple times a day to keep things smelling right down there. Its a big turn off towards women for this reason as well as looks.

The WHO recommends it based on faulty studies. The uncircumcised control groups were not given proper sex education or condoms, whereas the circumcised test group was.
Of course, the WHO, as we all know, is a load of crap, dismissing the benefits of moderate drinking, recommending male genital mutilation, and other bogus garbage as well.
I don't trust them and neither should anyone else.

You're just unwilling to admit that circumcision crippled your sex life. You do know that for a study to be accurate you can only change one variable...not two or three. The results of the study are faulty because of poor methodology. Want to see if it really works? Take away condoms and sex-ed from your test group.
I'd love to cut the penises of the people who did those studies just to show them how bad that infant who they're cutting up is hurting during the procedure.

The fact is that smegma has a natural function (anti-microbial as well as lubricant). Female genitalia secrete AT LEAST as much smegma (from the vulva and the vagina). Yet women don't find it an issue. Basic hygiene prevents its accumulation.
Foreskin is richly endowed with fine-touch nerve receptors. Infant circumcision is mutilation. It is unethical!
