I love seeing your process. I'm a new comic artist, so I love grabbing little tips from more professional artists. I loved Fun Home, by the way. Your art style is truly beautiful, just like your story. Can't wait to see what you come out with next! :) ~KAMB~
No you're not crazy and surely your cat agrees with me as it was waving its tail while listening to you LOL I don't think that you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Artists have different methods when creating something and many of them are very sensitive. Cheers!
Having been in life drawing ... and then lost it over the years ... I found I always drew better from live subjects. I could never draw from my head. (At least not half as well). That really is a brilliant idea; being your own model via digital camera, b/c one always knows exactly what post they're looking for ...
Fucking brilliant. I could use some OCD--I think I have the opposite. I draw my subjects from my head very very large (on butcher block paper first and then try to whittle it down and make small). Otherwise, I make my friends pose for me. I'll try the camera trick.

i'd love to see more about the way you make the comics. for instance, do you write the text, then block it out?
