  • I'd have to say 96 to about 97 was the last "real" era of hip-hop. Its true that nearly half of Hip-Hop became garbage well into the early 1990's, but the garbage did'nt really overlap until sometime in the late 1990's (maybe when P-S****y, the shiny suits, and tha bling bling came out)! Only positive Hip hop artists out there now are Nas, Twalib Kwalib, Common, Mos Def, sometimes Kayne West, and sometimes LL (he needs 2 take it back 2 tha streets). Everyone else needs 2 grow up!
